Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

Awww…just seeing all of these goodies, gets me excited for Thanksgiving. Normally it is just my husband and I for Thanksgiving, but this year our daughter and son are coming home. Yahoo!

We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year, but instead of extended family, we are inviting those who are not able to afford to have their own Thanksgiving meal. That makes it a really special day…..God is always so good! My daughter has already started making pot holders to give the ladies…she has such a kind heart. So, if we were picked yo receive the basket, all that is in if would also be “given” and shared with others.

I’m a single mom that lives at home with her parents. For right now it’s the best I can do. I could never say how thankful I am for both of my parents. It would be so awesome to spring this surprise basket on my mom. Thanks for sharing your love for Jesus with me and I could only hope I do the same for my kids.

The only thing better than winning one of those baskets would be if you would be here to help me cook my first turkey. My parents always prepared Thanksgiving dinner, but they’ve both moved to Heaven, so it’s my turn to take the baton. Ummm… To say I’m nervous would be an understatement! Pray for me, but please pray for those that have to eat this meal! LOL

I attended my very first Living Proof event in Fort Wayne, IN and now we are doing the Breaking Free bible study. I feel so blessed to have the tools for a better understanding of God’s word. He is growing me but I will be under construction until I meet him in heaven. Blessings to all…..
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays as my family and I reflect together on the what we are most thankful for. I especially love to take time aside, stand back from everyone and thank the Lord for each individual and the blessing that he bestows on me and my family each and everyday!! and of course along with this is the joy of cooking the traditional meal and the smell of turkey and all of the sides… a great memory to have 🙂

i love this time of gathering around the table celebrating the bounty of the harvest. Our God is SO good…. all the smells, flavors, colors, and textures of this Holiday remind me of the generous way He created all things!!
