Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

You will never know how The Children of the Day bible study has changed my life and by the Grace of our living Savior Jesus Christ, will in turn change the lives of so many women who are hiding behind the shame of poor decisions around abortion. I truly feel God calling me to lead a blog, study or something for these women and soooo appreciate your prayers in this journey I’m embarking on with Jesus! I would love for my mother to be blessed with this basket. She deserves it for sooo many reasons, but mainly for her love & ultimate sacrifices she has made & continues to make for her family & to restore them to The Lord & to us, the family!! I love all things Thanksgivingy…. Nothing better than the point of the day is be gathered with loved ones sharing a meal!!!
This made me think of the verse James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” From the sunrise to the sunset, we receive gifts from Him. Sometimes those can be absolutely the most glorious gifts to behold. We must realize that His gifts are born of love for us! These beautiful gifts are born of your love for the women you minister to. These are good gifts from your hands. I hope that whoever you choose feels the love you are sharing in the gift.
This is just so sweet of yall. I always feel inadequate in the kitchen at Thanksgiving. I take one look at the turkey and think oh my….how do I handle this? I love yall there and pray you have a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving.

With my husband in Seminary, our budget is extremely tight. As a mom, I am always serving my kids and it would be a blessing to be served once in awhile. This would be a beautiful gift!

What a wonderful basket of goodies. My family has so much to be thankful for this year. This would make one more reason to “slap the table with joy”. Last year my husband was deployed for Thanksgiving and Christmas so this year means just a little more than maybe other years have.

Thanksgiving somehow has been overlooked and lost in the commercialism shuffle. I love Thanksgiving; truly a time to recollect our multitude of blessings and to truly enjoy family, friends and food.
