Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

That is just so kind and sweet of you to give that away! You know, I hate to cook, but I do it for my family, whom I love and adore. The act of cooking doesn’t always bring me joy, but when I do it to glorify the Lord and bring our family together….He always blesses me abundantly!!

Thankful for solid scriptural teaching from Beth and LPM. When this past year came with all of its struggles I was able to go back to Gods word and listen. One day kept building on another and now we are at the year anniversary.

I would love to slap the table because I received a luxury for my kitchen. My table would be glad to take one for the kitchen-team! That team has been together a long time now–more than 2 decades. In fact the table has offered its sweet spot for the occasion.

In the middle of Believing God for the 3rd time. Yes, I need the reminder! Have a blessed day!
We finished Children of the Day this week and the word ” grace” – undeserved, not expecting anything in return” has been fresh on my mind. Yesterday I met a lady trying to sell her home bc her 56 yr old husband had a stroke. She has 4 boys and was having to go back to work to support them. Her home was a meeting place for 20 boys she said and she hated to lose that but was upbeat- a Christian. I would love to give her a basket and talk more with her abt the love and grace of Jesus
I would love to surprise my sister Debbie with a Thanksgiving basket. Every year she graciously hosts our family for Thanksgiving and Christmas because she enjoys hosting but also because she has a handicapped son who is wheel-chair bound and she doesn’t want him to miss any of the celebration. This year she is preparing for a huge crowd because my niece is bringing some children who are in foster care.
This year’s holidays are going to be rather hard for me. My younger brother was killed in a car wreck on September 21. My youngest son is in Bahrain (Navy) until next year. My oldest son is stateside, but he is Navy, too. That means any plans he makes could easily be jerked out from under him.
I could use something to lift my spirits. 🙂

I am looking forward to cooking Thanksgiving in my house here for the first time. I hope to be spending it with a brother and sister I haven’t had Thanksgiving with since we were kids.i’ve been baking sugar pumpkins and making pumpkin pies as practice for the perfect pie on the day. I have so much to be thankful for!!!! I just wish I could be sharing it with my kids and grandkids who are all the way across the country. I am thankful for them. I am Thankful for my family of origin, and I’m thankful for my family have Bible study ladies!! We are almost finished with children of the day. What a wonderful Bible study!! Thank you so much Beth, for your faithfulness.
