Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

What an awesome basket! My Thanksgiving will be on a different day this year since my daughter won’t be able to on Thanksgiving Day. We won’t be at my side of the family’s dinner because… well, as we wrote on our hands last night in our last night of Children of the Day, “For not all are faithful. But our Lord is failthful!!!”

I loved the CHILDREN OF THE DAY Bible study. My husband was at MD Anderson in Houston for 3 weeks in October. I would wake up every morning and do the day’s Bible Study. My husband found Bayou City Fellowship, and it was wonderful! We went to the Sunday Service. Curtis Jones is a wonderful preacher. By the way, I would love to win the give away. Happy Thanksgiving!
All 3 of our girls, one son-in-law and 2 boyfriends will be celebrating Thanksgiving together this year. This would be so fun to use as we cook together!
I love this time of year. The fall leaves are so beautiful. They scream of the majesty of their creator. I love bon-fires and rich meals. It’s been a tough year, so I would consider winning the gift basket a blessing from God. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised because He has continually chosen to show His love for me in very tangible ways. I would be grateful beyond explanation. My daughter (5th grade) and I had fun looking at the items in the basket and we agree the little turkey would be a favorite!

I’d love to win. I will have all 34 members of my family here for Thanksgiving. The first since my mom died in 2004. Some estranged members. This is something that God totally ordained and orchestrated. I’m so excited I can hardly stand it.

I’m thankful for my family this time of year and grateful God allows me to be with some of them in this season. It is not easy being in a family. We argue, we rant, but we always still love each other. Most of the time we actually have fun together. And ALWAYS in times of crisis we are there for one another.
