Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

As a military family, we spend most holidays apart from our extended families. My in-laws are traveling to spend Thanksgiving with us this year, and I would love to share this amazing basket with them.

My grandson is old enough to begin to get an idea of what family and thankfulness is all about this holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. What I would do with the basket if a winner is to take him and the basket to the Nashville Rescue Mission for women and let him give the gifts to the ladies one at a time. He loves to take this out of a container and give them to people.
What an indulgent give away! Those would be such a nice treat!

What a beautiful reminder of Thanksgiving. With my 11 year old cousin battling cancer, my 20 year old daughter choosing someone to marry that is not a Christian, I could use a special gift.

Wow! How lovely. We are really scaling back on Thanksgiving this year. Our son is getting married a few weeks later so time and energy and money are allotted for that.
And Thanksgiving was always the time my sister and I were together. Since she is spending Thanksgiving with Jesus this year, I’m having a hard time looking forward to the day.

Have just spent the week with a sick granddaughter in Children’s Hospital. Friday is her first birthday and Praise God she is on the mend. God is so good and He is our Rock. Even if I don’t win one of the baskets, I already am a winner. praise His Holy Name.

Thanksgiving is a nice time to visit with family. Right before we pray, we all take turns sharing why we are thankful. It is very encouraging and we always end up crying and laughing. I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving.

Hi Beth! About two weeks ago, I landed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My husband committed to a two year assignment in a corporate transfer. So, my two girls (born on the same day, five years apart!) are celebrating Thanksgiving together where they live in Florida. They will be with my older daughter’s in-law family. The “in-laws” are Pastors of a church in Destin, Florida, and they open their home every Thanksgiving to “any and all”. It will be a wonderful gathering that I will celebrate from afar! 🙂 I would love to be able to “give” this gift to them! thank you!
