Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

The baskets look wonderful. I would love to bring one to my son and his family, especially since he is out of work and has a new baby. Everyone is gathering at his house on Thanksgiving and bringing the food. It would be a well appreciated gift and would brighten the day for his family and everyone else.

Thanksgiving was the one and only holiday that my mother celebrated to the nth degree. We (all 11 siblings and I) all moved heaven and earth to be at the farm in the mountains of Virginia for that festive day. And, there was always room for one or two more.

Oh I’m praying I get this! Needing some encouragement this Thanksgiving season since we just moved into the mountains of New Mexico far from family. My first Thanksgiving serving my husband and children solo for the holidays. I’m used to a full house of guests and family right down the road! 🙂 Even through change God is still GOOD! I will slap the table and do a happy jig!!! You are all so loved here in Chesterfield VA & prayed for every Tuesday night at our ladies bible study.
I would not only slap the table with joy to win but also cheer and do a little dance. I love to cook and set a beautiful table! I joke that I have the spiritual gift of feeding people. Plus it would totally cheer me up – family vacation was cancelled due to by daughters bad cold and my bronchitis.

Thanksgiving in a basket! How wonderful. We’ve been living overseas for the last 2 Thanksgivings (this will be our 3rd away from “home”) and it’s always such a bittersweet time, but we do what we can to create sweet memories and forge new traditions.

Our bible study group just completed “Children of the Day”. Our group has kept up with your studies now for the 14 years of my salvation, and we have completed all the DVD bible studies as well as some smaller ones. They bring joy to my heart and I am so thankful to Jesus for him to give you the strength, energy, and pursuit that you share in all of these. We are sisters in Christ wherever HE may take us. I did get to attend the BOK Center group in Tulsa, OK that you referred to in this study and it brought tears to so many of us that were there that day. You are so dear to us sister, you and your family and we do pray for you as you pray for us all. Keep sharing HIS word and we do press on as well spreading His Good News… from Broken Arrow, OK.
Thankful for changed hearts and the way the Lord has moved in our family this year !

What (a) beuatiful basket(s)! My family and I have had a couple of (really) rough months. It is so difficult, as a mom, to watch your child hurt & struggle, BUT I am so thankful for God’s presence in our lives. Sometimes it truly is a matter of a simple prayer: “Ok God, you pick my feet up, and I’ll put them down.”

Thanksgiving has ALWAYS been my favorite holiday, even as a child I loved waking up and watching the Macys day parade with my grandma and mom and then admire their cooking all day for our small family. Today at 34 I love hosting Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for! This would definate give me confidence in the kitchen (a place I normally avoid like the plague). After thirteen yrs of single parenting, I finally made a friend who loves to cook and share her secrets. I have mastered fresh bread, chicken, and pumpkin pie from complete scratch -there is hope for me yet. My growing boy is finally eating like a king 😉
