Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

This will be our family’s first Thanksgiving with out our mother. Our mother went home to be with The Lord on the evening of December 23, 2013. We have several tough holidays ahead of us but we know that God is faithful and we feel his presence daily. Mama would not want for us to be sad, she would want for us all get together, have fun and fellowship. This year we are planning to have our Thanksgiving meal in our church fellowship hall, after our meal is over we will all go and visit her grave. So we will all be together that day. Our parents were married over 60 years and they had a love that some people search a lifetime and never find. Our family has been blessed beyond measure. Hope that you and your family have the most blessed Thanksgiving!

So glad to find your blog. Delightful. I found it quite by “accident” because when googling “cardinals” (the birds :), up popped a blog called Just Julie in which she had blogged about her Birthday in September, on which God gave her the special gift of a cardinal early that morning, where cardinals are rarely seen.
After enjoying a few posts, I looked at blogs she enjoys and found yours.
I haven’t had the privilege of attending any of your events, but have friends who have. I downloaded a few of your books when you offered them free on Amazon, I believe early this year. Had to download them on my husband’s iPad, then he had problems, and they were lost. So, I’ll be buying some of those as soon as I can. Had just read part of one, and it was just what I needed.

I can never thank God enough for your study and teaching of the Word of God and the encouragement and refreshment it brings my soul. It is the way I “gaze upon the beauty of the Lord” Psalm 27:4 as our pastor described last Sunday in his sermon. The more we look at Him, the bigger He gets and your studies have showed me this truth. Giving thanks for your ministry.

I have had a really tough year this past year. My Mom went to be with Jesus and almost exactly one year later, my BFF and sister went to heaven. This year more than ever, I’m thankful for Jesus! He made a way, when there was no way! I love Him with all of my heart!!

Oh my GOSH this would be such a blessing as my sister in law (who usually hosts thanksgiving and we do Christmas) just told me last minute that she will be out of the country!!! This leaves it to us to host! This would be an amazing gift!
