Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.
Happy Thanksgiving!! This year I’m so thankful for my family. Yesterday I witnessed my Great Aunt bury her beloved husband of 70 years. If I am picked, I would send the basket to cheer up her broken heart.

Thankful for LPM and the BM Bible Studies that have been very instrumental in my spiritual growth!
This week I have felt pretty nostalgic and trying to get back to German heritage cooking. I’ve dug out church cookbooks and found my great grandmother’s recipes for cabbage burgers, butterballs, and rivel kuchen. I’m so blessed to have my great aunts alive so I am able to call them and ask for help. They are so proud that I want to learn how to cook/bake like their mother. Can’t wait to go back and have a day with “the aunts” to learn our heritage and cook!

I’m very grateful this year for God’s grace and for bringing my children and I closer together through his love. Your words have been a strength to my family as I transitioned to being a single mom. I’m living my dreams that were put on hold for so long. God is great and his words are powerful. He has opened my eyes to the possibilities for me and my family.

I want to slap the table with joy already! This is the third year my husband and I will be away from family and friends for Thanksgiving… budget is tight so we’ve already decided on chicken, macaroni & cheese and green bean casserole. We don’t even have a real oven, just a toaster oven! I would really love to win some holiday treats but if not, my heart will still rejoice in the Lord always 🙂

Here in Romania, we don`t have this hollyday as a hollyday in our home.We are celebraiting in church but not in our families. I would love to start celebraiting in my family as a new tradition giving thanks to the Lord for all his spiritual and meterial blessings He had poured over us all year long. Last year, I had to quit my job to move in with my mother and take care of
her. She has Alzheimer’s Disease. Oh, the joy of Christ to be blessed with the offer of such a beautiful gift! I pray my mom can smile and have some sense of joy this season! Thank you for even the thought of this blessed gift! It gives me hope of something good this year!

A basket full of blessings!
I have had a total reversal of destiny these past 2 years. My husband and I both lost our jobs, home, car and our pensions. Though we are not down and out, I wouls love to be chosen for the Thanksgiving basket. By our hardshios we have found joy in Jesus and our relationship has deepened.
My life is devoted to Him and even now with my husband on chemo we appreciate our Jesus more and more. Our life is simplier now, but our Lord
is always with us.

I wouldn’t get to use these goodies this thanksgiving.I’m headed home to mama’s kitchen. Get to spend Thanksgiving with my nephew who’ll be coming home from his freshman year at Westpoint. This will also be the fourth Thanksgiving since my Dad was diagnosed with stage iv kidney cancer. This is particularly awesome since they thought he Wouldn’t live to see two more! To God be the glory!
I have my husband doing your new bible study Children of the Day along with me and I am loving it and he now sees why you were the one who taught me to love to read my Bible and all the treasures found there! Feeling so grateful!
