Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen.ย So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table.ย When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.]ย I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.
Thank you! We will have a house full of family, friends and 6 dogs that come along for the feast as well. It’s one of the last holidays that actually honor God and we are looking forward to the fun.

God Bless you Beth. Thanks for all you do.
Thanksgiving will be a very special at our home this year. Our one and only child, a son- Storm Alexander, will be coming home from college. He was our miracle baby. We had been told for 11 years we could not have children and then he came. For 18 years, we tried to squeezed quality time with him into every moment. So many of my friends have said that our close relationship as a family would not last once he left home. The loss of that relationship, has been our greatest fear. That “false sense of truth” has not proven to be true. God is so very good! He knows our hearts desire and love does cover a multitude of sins. My guilt perhaps, comes from the times I did not stop work on time or obsessed with house work or other non family projects on the weekends, allow the mundane to steal my precious time with our family. He doesn’t seem to even remember those times. In fact, our relationship as a family of three, has grown even stronger. This Thanksgiving, we plan to wrap our arms around him and hold him close for a little while. We will snuggle together in our home and have yet another family night, devotions, a movie, and snacks followed by his favorite cappichino, once again thanking God for his unforeseen blessings. Then we will watch as he leaves to return again, to his own journey.

Israel is an incredible nation. So thankful for this study.

Oh my goodness!! I’m a total FOODIE – LOVE both of those stores – and am so THANKFUL to God for you and your ministry! What a generous thing to do for us! (I don’t believe in luck – but I’m crossing my fingers anyway!) ๐ hehehehe!
I am so thankful that my daughter will be with me this Thanksgiving. Being together is important this year after the recent passing of their father/my husband. Looking forward to sharing time in the kitchen and at the table!
This Thanksgiving season I am so grateful, thankful and blessed to be part of this community of believing women….since September I’ve sung “Blessed is she who believed” and enjoy the thought of winning a fabulous prize like these fun baskets of goodness!
Thankfulness! Thankfulness? Thankfulness has given me more than I could’ve asked for. In the midst of large amounts of deficit Jesus didn’t give me all the things I was asking him for instead he gave me what I really needed. He begin to show me how to be thankful for the things that were already present in my life and as I began to think him I realized though there still was the deficit I had asked him to reverse the deficit was really nothing in comparison to what he has given me. A selfish, abused, and deeply lost woman that should’ve ended up dead or in prison or thrown away was found, cleaned up, & made right before him and given an incredible marriage and four children who are approaching adulthood and our family doesn’t look like it came from the gutter!! A humble abode, food always, and thought sometimes in trying ways – bills that get paid, (what a privilege to have bills, think about it we have bills for a good reason there are those that would love to have a bill they have to pay because somehow that means they’ve had services rendered) vehicles, Bibles, computers, Internet, appliances and niceties that aren’t necessary for survival, a voice, worship, redemption, hope, prayer (oh precious prayer, how we overlook that we even have the ability to pray! Jesus help us remember what a privilege it is to pray) friends, health, and the list continues and never stops.
This year in preparation for Thanksgiving Day I’m utterly thankful for thankfulness!!!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
