_____________________________________________________________________________________

Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen.  So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.

We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.

The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table.  When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.]  I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

I sure would like to win. Just want to share also around 45 (plus/minus) ladies at Vonore Baptist Church are
studying “Children of the Day”; we just finished week 6 and it’s sooooooooooooo good and convicting. Thank you for all the study, writing, etc. you do to get the Word out there for us ladies to study. We’re a small church with three classes studying. Our pastor is Dr. Doug Sager, who
retired, but God wouldn’t let him retire. After 20 years pastoring a bigger church in Knoxville, TN (around 6000 members), he felt called to this church by God after much prayer when they sought him out. And the people are so hungry for the Word. When he teaches/preaches one could hear a pin drop they are so awed by his teaching the Word. Praise God! If ever in our area, come visit with us at Vonore Baptist. We’re about 35 miles from the
Knoxville Airport. Our parents have passed away and we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving alone this year, but that’s fine as The Lord will be here with us. Best wishes as you continue to study and write Bible Studies for us. Praise the Lord for Beth!

I am so thankful for your ministry! Just TODAY I finished Children of the Day! I cannot tell you how blessed I was, especially by the last week of study. My life has been changed by your studies, most of them I have done more them once, some as many as 3 times. God just uses you and your honesty to get through to me. I am thankful for all you do, your sacrifice for Him that changes lives!

This will be the first thanksgiving without mom busying up my kitchen. She had a stroke this month and we will be celebrating at the rehab facility. I will be most grateful to see my sister as she is coming for the week. It goes without saying that I am very grateful to have my momma here to celebrate thanksgiving with and spend time hugging her neck. I am a blessed woman, a very tired one but blessed none the less. We will need many mercies to get through the days that lie ahead of us. Prayers would be appreciated. My mom’s name is Barbara. Thank you Beth for always keeping us close.

    Dear Beth,
I love your give aways and I am never blessed to win at random drawings BUT if I did perchance win this.. I know exactly what I’d do.
There is a family who just started coming to our tiny church they have two little girls 7 and 5 they are so well behaved and I love teaching them. Their father has cancer and is not doing well on the chemo. He has an allergy for it so can not work and the mother is trying to work full time and raise the family.
This would make a wonderful gift for them. The mother just had back surgery too now that the father just finished his last regimen of chemo, and this week started back to work. They have quite a struggle so I would give this to someone like those whose needs are so much right now.
Otherwise, I am so blessed this year the blessings are just pouring like a summer rain so I really do not need it.
    Blessings to you all there!
    Still feeling blessed by Billings!

My dear sister in Christ just accepted my invitation to come to my home for Thanksgiving. She was my boss for several years and then when we both were retired I invited her to come to my home for a women’s’ Bible study, “To Live is Christ” written by Beth. She came and surrendered her life to the Lord!! Her journey has been difficult these past years, but filled with great faith. Her precious husband went home to be with the Lord this past June when they were visiting their daughter in Hawaii. I am honored to have her come for our time of thankfulness to the Lord and would like to share these special gifts with her from Beth Moore, whose love of the Lord brought us together as sisters in Christ.

But on the top of my list is finding the peace and joy that I have finally realized is from my savior Jesus Christ. I didn’t know what I was missing until I accepted His Grace.
