LET YOURSELF FEEL THE HOLY NOD OF GOD THIS WONDERFUL DAY, MY BELOVED SISTER.
YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT HE ESTEEMS AS TREASURE BEYOND PRICE.

HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.
LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.
LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.
Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???
You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Memorizing scripture for this past year has been a literal lifeline! I had no idea when I signed up for this challenge how desperately I would need God’s Word hidden within me as never before. I began the year with a Word of hope, and hope was my theme for the year. I end the year with a beautiful reminder of where my hope comes from, and I long to be bound to it forever.

What a blessing it has been to memorize His word this year! Some were a challenge and some were easy. I tried to be aware of His guidance as to which ones to memorize, and what a variety He gave me. I can look through them and remember how they met each need I had at that particular time. What fun! What delight! What love! Thank You, Lord Jesus!

This is my second time particapting the Siesta Memorization and it has been a blessing both years.
Sometimes the verses I choose are from a Bible Study I am doing or from a Sunday School lesson I am preparing. At other times the verses are ones that speak to me as I read the Bible through in my Chronological Bible. All are special to me as I see God’s presence in my life as I study them.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
Heb. 12:1 NIV
So difficult to choose a final verse for this year, but this one is fitting because I am convinced that perseverance is key in experiencing the fullness of God’s goodness here on this earth! I am AMAZED at how the Lord has helped me memorize all my verses, AND how He’s given me opportunity to speak the verses into peoples’ lives all year long!! His Truth is so powerful – and I’ve been able to see how it literally transforms someone’s mind in the midst of awful trials. Peace, hope, joy, strength, endurance, resolve – they all can “appear” at the moment His Word is uttered/read! Praise God for His perfect, abiding, unchanging Word!!! And thank you Beth, and all the Siestas for your encouragement and commitment to this SSMT! You inspired me to go for it – and we did it!!!!
