HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.

LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.

LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.

Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???

You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. Each time that a new verse was due to be memorized, God led me to the specific one He wanted me to learn. Isn’t that just like Him? He knows exactly what I need when I need it. This has been a privilege learning His Word. I know that these precious words will come forth right when I need them. All honor and glory to Him…for He is worthy.

As I searched for my last Scripture of the year,I saw DeAnna’s from South Carolina, and it was exactly what God said I needed. In 2013 our family started our 3rd year of my husband’s terminal cancer. It was my first year to participate in Sista Scripture Memory. I know now why God gave me each Scripture this year. Last week we started Hospice and are realizing how God has graciously carried us through.
Out of the fullness of His daily grace we know he will strengthen our family in His time and we will by His grace, grieve while we wait, and also receive His grace in place of the grace already given after our loved one goes HOME!

    Mary from Birmingham, AL says:

I’ve experienced and observed God’s change-enabling grace both in sudden moments and in patient processes through the blessing of SSMT. As a single 40-something with wonderful but at times stressful work, I started the year struggling with disappointment. The other day I was running and going through verses when the Rascal Flats song “Changed” came through the headset. I heard the words “more smiles, less bitter, even starting to forgive myself” and I knew that this was true for me and that I had been blessed by the scriptures that I had planted in my heart and the prayers they lifted. Thank you Living Proof team and fellow siestas!

I’m choosing to end the year with a verse for the season that gives praise to the source of all change-enabling grace. “A child is born to us, a son is given to us, and authority will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful, Counselor, Might God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 (CEB)

Deborah, Bradenton, FL. Proverbs 4:23 Message: Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.

As I have memorized Scripture I have prayed it and contemplated it and meditated on it and then often in the heat of a moment when I have been asked a hard faith question by someone or tempted to sin or lose my peace or allow anger to get the best of me…pop in my mind will one of the verses I have memorized come to mind to help me! It is an awesome gift to have Scripture so readily available and be so full of TRUTH and HOPE! I have memorized while in lines at stores (by Iphone verses saved or looked up) or as passenger in cars and when walking on the beach, in between laps at the pool and even while kicking on my back while swimming. I have had some ask me what I am doing and a couple of times led to testimony about CHRIST. I have come to love JESUS more and HIS WORD better through memorization and prayer. Beth, thank you for you have helped me KNOW HIM better (through Bible Study and teaching HIS WORD in Truth and through this blog/memory work) and you have encouraged me to love Him more than anyone I have ever met. Plus you encourage me to be more INTIMATE with and thankful for CHRIST, through HIS WRITTEN WORD and to serve FOR CHRIST’s GLORY and not of my own! Thank you and MERRY CHRISTmas!

Hard year! One attack after another this year! At times I didn’t think it would ever end. But every step of the way God would give me just the right verse for my season.
