I AM SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD DO TEN CARTWHEELS!!!!!
LET YOURSELF FEEL THE HOLY NOD OF GOD THIS WONDERFUL DAY, MY BELOVED SISTER.
YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT HE ESTEEMS AS TREASURE BEYOND PRICE.
HE HAS LISTENED INTENTLY EVERY TIME YOU’VE SAID A VERSE OUT LOUD AND RECOGNIZED THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE WITH DEEP AFFECTION.
HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.
LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.
LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.
Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???
You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. This time when you leave your verse, you get to leave a comment with it. Testify! Boast in the Lord! Tell us a specific way God used this year of Scripture memory in your priceless life.

Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I love all of Beth’s ministry for Christ but especially the SSMT. I attended the first two celebrations in Houston but knew last January I would not be able to attend this one. However, that did not deter me from posting my verses 24 times and have memorized them all and can quote them with just a bit of refreshing. I love Scripture and praise Almighty God for giving me the ability to memorize at my age of going on 74! I have memorized a fair amount of Scripture including the Book of Philippians so next on my list is the Book of Colossians and Psalm 119. Thanks, Beth, for the encouragement you provide for me.

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living Psal 27:13 NKJV
Deb, Pelzer, SC
Hebrews 12: 2-3 (NIV): “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful man so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
So many of my verses this year had to do with not losing heart, and in the process of waiting and beating the temptation to give up, I’ve seen God do a mighty thing in an area that seemed impossible. NOTHING is impossible with God! To Him be all glory, majesty, power, and authority!
For unto us a child is born, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

… stop doing wrong.
Learn to do right…
Isaiah 1:16-17 (NIV)
At the beginning of this year, I desired to do as Psalm 1 (MSG) says “chew on Scripture,” but I didn’t know how. Then I “stumbled” across this SSMT challenge. (I knew it wasn’t a true “stumble,” but a God-led find.) When I thought about it I loved the idea, but I admit I thought, “A whole year… God, that is a very long time. How in the world will I make it all year?” Here we are a whole year later and God proved to be faithful once again. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to continue memorizing Scripture regularly next year, too.
Lisa, Huntsville, AL:
My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.” – Song of Songs 2:10, NIV 84
My first time to participate in the SSMT as well; what an incredible journey it has been. I have no idea how many weeks the verse that showed up in my life for that week’s choice was a much needed word in due season for me at that moment. This has been an awesome year and I’m so glad to get to participate!

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
“You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 26:2 NKJV
This year, the Lord told me, “Prophesy to your year.” I was in a pit at the start of the year. I obeyed Him, and He has totally brought me out of that pit. Heck, I’m excited for the next 2 weeks what He’ll do (which I suspect is top it off with a nice, big bow!)
This verse seems anti-climactic, but the portion that says, “…reverence My sanctuary” gets me. I am His sanctuary. Earlier in the year, during the restoration process, He exposed self-rejection and self-hate. I am trading in my self-condemnation for reverence, because He lives in this sanctuary, and He is the Lord.
(Thanks, Miss Beth! Love you and your family!)

The master was full of praise. “Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful servant…Let’s celebrate together!”
These verses have kept me from out of a cycle of fear, have brought me to praise my God over and over, and have brought me truth upon truth. God is good, patient, and so faithful. Amen!

This is my first year to do SSMT and it has totally transformed my spiritual walk!!! I have seen the Spirit reveal Himself to me through the Scriptures and seen the Lord take me step by step through what He has been teaching me, one revelation at a time. I have tasted and seen that the LORD IS GOOD!!!! Thank you for giving me this opportunity for accountability and Scripture memory! I am eternally grateful!

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NASB
God’s Word has helped me to speak truth when lies have come at my heart. The Word has helped me through many moments of anxiety, fear, and dread. My view of God has changed much since the beginning of this year. There have been a few verses I’ve not been successful at memorizing. Some I memorized well and some were memorized, but have had difficulty recalling when I wanted to. One night, however, the Holy Spirit brought almost all of them to mind while I was having a difficult time with thoughts pressing in on my mind. I’m thankful for His loving care and faithfulness and so grateful to have participated in Scripture memory this year.
