I AM SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD DO TEN CARTWHEELS!!!!!

HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.
LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.
LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.
Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 ESV
Such emotion…. A year full of exchanging gifts with God. He would give me the gift of a verse and I would give him the gift of storing it in my heart. Memorizing is difficult for me and yet God was with me as I struggled thru each one. Such joy I can not express on this earth. Thank you my siestas! Hughughug!!!!
Maureen, St. Clair Shores, “Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: “The Virgin will conceive, have a son, and name Him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14 HCSB)
It was a harder go this time. Our lives have been turned upside down the last several weeks…a friend in ICU for 45 days; a great niece (34 yrs) passing and a brother-in-law who is homeless. I have clung to several of our SSV’s but 2 have come up time and time again: 1 Peter 1:5 from the Message “God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all – life healed and whole.” And 1 Peter 1:18 from the Message “Your life is a journey you MUST travel with a deep consciousness of God.” Thank you all for doing this journey with me…and allowing me the privilege to journey with you!!
To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, The Lord.
Luke 2:11 (NRSV)
What a wonderful journey! So much comfort, encouragement, conviction, strength, hope, and love in these scriptures!!!!

God has given me verses each month that spoke to what I was dealing with at the time. He even gave me one verse that so deeply convicted me of a sin in my life that I made a dramatic life change!! As I quote my verses now, my year comes back to me and I see God’s hand working miraculously each month – Praise His Name Forever!!! Thank you Jesus – You Alone are Worthy to be Praised!!!
…you have found favor with God. Luke 1:30 (NIV)
a simple partial verse for my last, knowing that God is pleased through all our efforts! AMEN and PRAISE Him!

What an amazing thing to have God’s Word inside! So many times throughout this year Scripture that I had memorized worked itself in my heart and mind in the car, in the grocery store, in situations that I didn’t have a Bible. Oh thank you Jesus for your Words of Life!!!

This year, with delight in the Lord and scripture memory
I have spent grand time with deep breathing: inhaling more learning about the Bible and exhaling with memory verses the worldly things I want and need to let go.

Little did I know the first verse I learned this year Micah 7:7 would be prophetic. I have been watching with hope all year. Still waiting.

“Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. “. Isaiah 44;6 ESV
All my verses this year have turned into heartfelt prayers. My Jesus knew what I was going to face and He indeed showed Himself faithful on my behalf through the very powerful truths of His Word. I memorized Psalm 25 and I was slack jawed over and over again at how each verse spoke directly into my season. This I know – my God is faithful.
This Canadian will see you in January, Mama Beth! And thank you, thank you, thank you for how you submit to our God’s leading and voice and how you have had many a word for this Siesta – just too many times to count! Much love.

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Hebrews 11:1 NLT
It is amazing the way these verses have come to mind at just the right time and helped me through so many days! We serve an awesome, mighty God!!

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (James 1:26, 27 NLT)
Memorizing James was the final push into giving up all I had and moving into the unknown to care for those without voices. It brought me from a career at Starbucks to Kenya for the Summer & then I moved from my life-long home in CA to Houston & am on one wild ride to abolish human trafficking forever. He is SO SO good. HE WORKS. He is IT.
Connie, Pickerington, OH Colossians 1:10(NASB)

Psalm 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:14
Shortly after the first verse in January, I discovered that two dear friends here in my hometown were also “siestas”. We have texted each other our verses twice a month. It has been our joy to share this with you, the community of faith at LPM and with each other. We have seen the faithfulness of hiding God’s Word – and how verses we memorized way back have proved to be just what we needed each step of the way. Bonus was having our picture taken with Miss Beth and Travis in Springfield in October! Bless you all! We love you!!!!

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. NIV
What a year it has been. I found out during the very first week we were memorizing verses that I was pregnant with our second child, and in September my memory verse was Psalm 139:14 (I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…)as I delivered our second daughter. So thankful for God’s blessings in our lives and His presence through this exciting (and often crazy) time. =) We also did this with all the girls in my extended family and it has drawn us closer to each other, as well as the Lord! GO HENCY GIRLS!

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.
2013 has been a year where I learned to take a deep breath, put my hand in His, and walk one step at a time is His love…and HE HAS PROVEN FAITHFUL OVER AND OVER AND OVER. He has turned graveyards into gardens and enabled us to do things I would have told you a year ago we could not do…BUT GOD!. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt Psalm 115:1 to be true…Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of your steadfast love and faithfulness. OH how He has proven His faithfulness to our family this year!
