I AM SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD DO TEN CARTWHEELS!!!!!

LET YOURSELF FEEL THE HOLY NOD OF GOD THIS WONDERFUL DAY, MY BELOVED SISTER.

YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT HE ESTEEMS AS TREASURE BEYOND PRICE.

HE HAS LISTENED INTENTLY EVERY TIME YOU’VE SAID A VERSE OUT LOUD AND RECOGNIZED THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE WITH DEEP AFFECTION.

HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.

LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.

LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.

Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???

You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. This time when you leave your verse, you get to leave a comment with it. Testify! Boast in the Lord! Tell us a specific way God used this year of Scripture memory in your priceless life.

Hallelujah Chorus

Beth, Houston. Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2b-3 ESV

I love you so much I could cry. Thank you for the privilege to serve you.

    December 1 verse–verse 23
    Psalm 36: 5-7– The Message
    God’s love is meteoric,
    His loyalty astronomic,
    His purpose titanic,
    His verdicts oceanic.
    Yet in His largeness nothing gets lost;
Not a man, not a mouse slips through the cracks.

Beth you have so blessed me and Arelis, age 15, my sponsored child from Colombia with Compassion. She has sent me some of the verses for us to learn and I have sent her some. It has brought us much closer. Always remember Jesus Loves You and I love you. Thank you.

How do I wrap up my first year in the Lord’s word? How do I describe the new feeling of being a part of the family of God?

Simply, “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

Thank you Siestas for letting me share with you this year and I hope, if the Lord wills it, to meet you face to face in January.

What a blessing hiding his word in my heart has been to this young mama. I didn’t know when I started that I would be battling cancer again while caring for my young son but what solace and strength I have found in my memory verses! Praising God for each great think he has done and will do for me!

“Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O Lord. They rejoice in Your Name all day long; they exult in Your righteousness. For You are their glory and strength.” Psalm 89:15-17a NIV

As I look back over my scripture memory verses, they remind me of what has happened over the last year and what the Lord and I were going through. From stress at work, to a mission trip, dieting, Priscilla Shirer conference I attended, Bible studies, and a family member with a very sad diagnosis. But God is faithful and His Word brings such comfort and peace. Thanks for challenging us once again to persevere. Hugs! 🙂

This was the first year for me to participate in the SSMT blog. This has been a life-line for me over the past year. I recently moved to Utah from Virginia-from the Bible Belt to an area that is in desperate need of the gospel. In Virginia, there was ALWAYS a Beth Moore study somewhere close by to attend….not so much in Utah!

Most of my verses my four year old daughter has memorized too. It has been wonderful to do it together. I am amazed at how her mind soaks it up, and saying it over and over to help her has made it much easier for me!

This year has been a little more difficult for me to memorize but I am so glad I did it! Two years ago my mom and I came to Houston for the celebration from Seattle (two of only a few to make it because of bad weather). Unfortunately we won’t be able to come this year, but I would recommend to anyone who can make it to go. You will be blessed! Thank you, Beth, and team for doing this, I hope to do it again next time.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

    Isaiah 9:6 NIV

Memorizing scriptures has been a wonderful tool for me to keep God’s word active in my life. I love how memorizing scriptures makes me so much more aware of God’s word–as I read my Bible or hear a sermon I will jot down verses that I think would good to memorize. I’ve been able to share a verse when someone needs an encouraging word not just say “somewhere in the Bible I think it says. . .”

I’m actually going to miss this special time. This is the first time I have ever committed to memorizing scripture. I carried my little spiral note cards with me everywhere I went whether at home (where my puppy really did chew on the scriptures), in my purse (where my 3 year old granddaughter added her drawings – everytime she could get it) or at work when on my lunch hour I would clutch it close to me.  It’s almost like a special friend I’m going to miss. After reading your post Beth I did cry, but happy tears for  I look forward to the next time we will do this again.

    Karen says:

Karen, Dover, NH “Take heart, my child, your sins are forgiven.” Matt. 9:2 (NIV)

Every verse this year, except the first, had the word “heart” in it. God gave me the idea to do this, I believe, because He wanted to teach me about my heart and how important it is to Him. It has been a very rewarding time! Although this last verse is fairly easy to memorize, I couldn’t pass it up as it sums up everything my relationship with my Savior means to me.

  37. 387

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

The Lord blessed our family with baby #2 this summer, and having His Word in my heart and mind was the best preparation for childbirth and adjusting to life with two little ones at home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Praise God. I know that is a funny verse, but I stumbled across it the other day, and thought it fit this time of year:) What a blessing this memorization and blog community has been to me this year. After four kids I didn’t think I would ever be able to memorize anything again. I prayed and asked God to help me memorize verses, and then I somehow found this wonderful blog and memory team. How I have loved every minute of it. What wonderful verses I have discovered this year, and how His word has ministered to my thirsty soul!! Love ya’ll so much.

When we get together to practice there is always a time of sharing ~~how a verse has come to mind in a particular circumstance or how the Spirit has prompted one of us to share a verse with another person. It’s been a wonderful, faith-building year!
