Congratulations, ladies! If you will please email [email protected] with your name and mailing address we will get these CD’s to you asap! Of course, we wish we could give away 919 copies, but since we can’t, we are hoping that the rest of you (that would be 904 of you) will go out and buy it today. The link to do that is below. I promise you will not be disappointed. We love you, Siestas!
Update: Comments are now closed so we can do our drawing. Y’all are so fun! Check back tomorrow morning to see who the lucky winners are!
Happy Tuesday, Sweet Things! Something really fun is up today and I didn’t want you to miss it. Travis’s new CD is officially out and, let me tell you, it is my favorite of all his music YET. And, I guess you know, I’ve loved all of them. The mix of music on this thing is so incredible. They’re the kinds of songs you get in your head and you can’t quit singing (and you’re glad you can’t as opposed to those times when you can’t quit singing something stupid). If you participated in the simulcast last Saturday, you heard some of it. I’m trying to resist overusing the word “anointed” but you just see if you don’t sense the Holy Spirit all over it. To commemorate the release of “When the Stars Burn Down,” we’re going to do a random drawing and give away 15 copies. Here’s how you participate in the drawing:
*Leave a comment on this post with your first and last name
*In your comment, tell us your favorite song of Travis’s to date (if you’re familiar with his music. You can be part of the drawing even if you’re not. In fact, you’re the one we’d hope to win.)
We’ll do the random drawing this afternoon and post our winners tomorrow and make arrangements to get them in the mail to you.
If by any stretch of the imagination, you are not chosen in our random drawing of 15, go here to download or purchase it: When The Stars Burn Down
If you’re like me, you love knowing about great new music out there that fills up and builds up your soul and brings you to the Throne of God. Enjoy! We love you around here, Siestas!
To pick a favorite – so hard! I have his CD, The Lamb Has Overcome, and play it all the time. All the songs are awesome and minister loads of encouragement while lifting up our Jesus!
Blessings on your day! ~Jodie
I heard In Christ Alone for the first time at a conference in San Antonio several years ago. Never had I heard it sung like that. It knocked my socks off. I’m surprised I don’t have BIG HAIR all the time because that song do make my hay-ya stand on end!! I just wish that instead of making my hair stand on end, it would cause my hair to grow luxuriously thick…
We loved having you guys in Lubbock!!! What a blessed day! I was sitting beside a dear friend (who is still in the running for being one of my BFF…jk…she already has that crown!) with whom I had shared tears the morning before. We kept looking at each other wide-eyed as Beth talked. BOOM! Nail hit on the head! BOOM! Nail hit on the head! Woo hoo! God spoke to us very specifically through the sessions.
Many, many hearfelt thanks!
cel
Er, uh…I meant HEARTFELT thanks!! {;-)
I was blessed to be apart of the simulcast this past saturday Sept 10 held at our church Crossroads in Gray, TN. It was such a blessing and very energetic. I had my 12 year old daughter with me and she had a wonderful time. What truly inspired me was when she wished the singing would stop short because she wanted to hear that funny lady talk some more. As young Chrisitians we often want to hear the music more so this was a changing moment for me as her mother. I had never heard you speak before but I am so much like you — our past seems to be alike in many ways — I am facing many challenges in my life — I have a 15 year old son who is not with me but due to some of his choices and other family members he has basically been torn from me. My heart aches constantly! My Jessica (12), Michael (10) and Carly (5) and they all miss him so very much but at the same time fear him returning home. We need Gods help because the family is just in turmoil. God has been working many many months trying to let me see what was going on but by the time I did — it was out of control. We pray each day that this relationship will heal and he will be back in our lives but we have a new challenge but one with excitement in front of us. My husbands employer will be transferring him to TX sometime early next year. During your simulcast you announced you from Houston and although we had our doubts about going that far it seemed to give us some comfort. Hopefully we’ll get to meet you in person someday. I just wanted you to know how you just flowed with your message — just being you — it was absolutely wonderful! I’m so thankful I got to share that with my daughter. Satan is constantly trying to break us down, but we will no longer stand fot it. Thank you so much for the message. Thank you for sharing your experiences and how God has blessed you. Thank you for reminding me that God sees me in the big we. My daughter actually put the 7 points on her facebook as the day went on and that was her favorite! I will keep you and your team in my prayers and I ask that you keep us in yours.
God Bless you.
Missy
I was blessed to hear him at the Salt Lake Conference. Between your study and his music, The Spirit moved in that place! My all time favorite is In Christ Alone. He has such a way of singing it that is so amazing that you just want to praise Jesus!
In Christ Alone is my favorite song by Travis. No one sings that like him!
Cynthia Hamilton
Gosh…I love so much of his stuff. I really loved that version of Annie’s Song he did, but my favorite is probably
“In Christ Alone”. That is by far the best I have heard. Love him!
I heard Travis at the simulcast and his music is great. It was something that I was going to check into at Lifeway the next time I was there as I currently don’t have any of his music. I will diffently check out this new cd.
Thanks for being willing to follow God’s plan for you.
I have the “Beloved Disciple” CD and have played it to death!! It skips something terrible. My favorite off of that CD (not sure if Travis wrote/compose it) is ~ sing along with me~ “I have found Your love feeds my soul, I have found your love feeds my soul…It’s better than life so I’ll glorify You, Spirit within me cry out your Name.” Thanks for doing a give away!! XOXO
Kelly Bollman
…don’t have a favorite, but would love to have one!
Casey Cody
2000 Years!! So good, so good, so good!!
I have had the great blessing of singing with Travis several times in productions at my church. His voice is tremendous, but beyond that is his personality, his love for the Lord and for the people he ministers to. And he is so funny!
I can not pick just one favorite, but did manage to narrow it down to three:
Forevermore (Psalm 145) from Found CD
You are Forever from The Deep CD
Once More from Ring The Bells Cd
IN CHRIST ALONE !!!
I love Travis’ live version of Jesus Saves….it gives me the chills everytime I hear it and I almost alway break down in tears listening to it…I”m so excited to hear the new CD!
I love hearing Travis at your conferences…and I love how he uses the old hymns and makes them beautiful again. Such powerful music…but my favorite is “Your Word is Life to Me.” I still get goosebumps everytime I hear it!
Karen Tabler
I’ve heard you speak so highly of Travis, but haven’t heard his music yet. I’ll definitely check out this CD either way!
I was blessed to be able to attend the LPL in Lubbock! I went alone, BUT, my WE was big,I sat with a wonderful group from Brownwood. I was so excited to learn about Luke, and what an awesoome man he was. Worship with Travis was so moving. I purchased a CD,at a previous simulcast, just for the song,”In Christ Alone”, and it is still my favorite. All of Travis’s music is special to me, because I know he feels it in his heart. Thanks to everyone that is involved with LPL events.

Travis Cottrell’s music helped me make it through a very serious illness several years ago. I have seen him with Living Proof Live six different times and my all time favorite is “In Christ Alone.” His holiday music was a welcome addition to our holiday ritual in my family and “In the First Light” is constantly hummed and sung in my head. Hard to pick a couple of songs – his music is a true blessing to us all.
Am not familiar with his music but have heard it is great.
Rene Thompson – I have to agree with the “In Christ Alone”. My 20 year old daughter and I know the Newsboys version of the song so when Travis started that we both cried and stomped and sang so loud and proud that we were dizzy!! Oh, Beth, thank you so much for Saturday. My Beth (daughter) and I needed it so much and the last part was the most priceless – when you forgot to mention the last point. You said it – just didn’t tell us it was number 7. We in Claremore OK were in a panic! May God bless and keep you and all your most anointed staff!
Lauren Raber
I remember hearing and loving his Christmas album once, but don’t have a favorite song!
christina moore
This weekend I found the lyrics to “The Word of God Has Spoken” very profound and encouraging. There were lots I liked, but that one was new to me and therefore sticks in my mind.
My first into to Travis was at Saturday’s simulcast! Spirit filled worship!!! So amazing! The song he taught us (maybe called We’re Free?) was the hi-light for me!
My favorite song is “In Christ Alone”
I’ve only heard Travis Cottrell’s music on one of the Beth Moore Bible studies when he played the intro or at the end, so would love a copy if it can be mailed to the UK!
My favorite Travis Cottrell song is Jesus Saves. I have been blessed and encouraged by this song.
Laura Clontz
My sons (5 & 8) and I love his rendition of Victory in Jesus! Love it! Love it!
No sure what happened there…that smiley face was supposed to be an 8!
I’m sure my favorite will be on his new album! 🙂 I loved the music at LPL in Montana a few years ago, but gave away the cd I bought then.
Lindsey Fescoe
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Travis and his music! My favorite song is Jesus Saves! 🙂
Julie Brierley
“Your Word is Life to Me”! First heard it when doing the Daniel study and downloaded it as soon as I could find it. My husband, kids and I would ride around listening to it as loud as we could!
Jennifer Millett
My favorite of Travis’s songs is “Mercy Seat”.
I participated in the simulcast on Saturday, and loved the music. I wasn’t however familiar enough with his songs to pick a favorite. Thanks for a great time for worship, and for sharing His message!
I am not familiar with Travis’ music, but I do love to worship the Lord in song. I would love to learn about the talent the Lord has given him.
I love all his songs, but to choose one I would choose In Christ Alone. Beautiful!
Thank you for all that you do. I just started your study on Revelation last week. I’m praying for great things to happen!
I was in our Easter choir year before last and we performed Travis’ Run to the Cross. All of the songs are AWESOME but the one that threatened to bring me to my knees every time we sang it was “Blood of Jesus Be My All.” God bless you, Travis!
one of my very favorite Travis song’s is Psalm 40. My deaf choir did this song and it was beautiful and very worshipful.
of course, i love ALL of travis’s worship music and yes, the word annointed if very fitting.
Melissa Meserole
I’m not familiar with his music but I LOVE music especially worship music!!!
Elizabeth Conner
I love “Do It Lord,” there were days I listened to that on repeat, but I love them all!
“Do It, Lord” and “In Christ Alone.” Love those!
I love, love, love Victory in Jesus. Heard it for the first time on one of the LPL recaps and then had the enormous privilege of hearing it live in Charlotte, NC.
Don’t have any of his CDs (yet) but love his version of “In Christ Alone”.
Blessings to all
I do not have a favorite song, but I was blessed to be in Charlotte NC in July for LPL and was blown away by his music. Can’t wait to check out his new CD!!
I Love, Love, LOVE Travis’ In Christ Alone/Solid Rock (Medley) and Jesus Saves! Can I have two?!
I only have one CD of his–I came home from the Siesta Scripture gathering last time and bought it right away. My favorite song on it is, “Do It Lord”. Such a fantastic prayer. Thanks for the chance to win more!
Amy Storms
I am very sorry to say I am not as familiar with his music so if I don’t win, I will go and buy the CD. I so enjoyed all of the music during the Simulcast – very blessed.
Laura Wainscott
In Christ Alone is my fav; The words are taped in the back of my bible!
Sharon Craft, Griffin, GA
It’s almost impossible to pick just one, but if I never heard another song again it would have to be Mercy Seat. Actually Travis doesn’t sing (and I’m not even sure he wrote the song?) but I just fall apart every time I hear it. And I picked that over Sandy Patty and Larnell Harris singing “Ive Just Seen Jesus”!!!!
I “loaned” my copy of Travis’s last cd and would love to have this new one.
Thanks so much, Beth.
Carla Tambrino
I just heard Travis for the first time this past Saturday at the Simulcast! Really enjoyed the worship time.
Sheryl, PA – I love all of Travis’ music, but “In Christ Alone” takes me into His presence every time.
