Congratulations, ladies! If you will please email [email protected] with your name and mailing address we will get these CD’s to you asap! Of course, we wish we could give away 919 copies, but since we can’t, we are hoping that the rest of you (that would be 904 of you) will go out and buy it today. The link to do that is below. I promise you will not be disappointed. We love you, Siestas!
Update: Comments are now closed so we can do our drawing. Y’all are so fun! Check back tomorrow morning to see who the lucky winners are!
Happy Tuesday, Sweet Things! Something really fun is up today and I didn’t want you to miss it. Travis’s new CD is officially out and, let me tell you, it is my favorite of all his music YET. And, I guess you know, I’ve loved all of them. The mix of music on this thing is so incredible. They’re the kinds of songs you get in your head and you can’t quit singing (and you’re glad you can’t as opposed to those times when you can’t quit singing something stupid). If you participated in the simulcast last Saturday, you heard some of it. I’m trying to resist overusing the word “anointed” but you just see if you don’t sense the Holy Spirit all over it. To commemorate the release of “When the Stars Burn Down,” we’re going to do a random drawing and give away 15 copies. Here’s how you participate in the drawing:
*Leave a comment on this post with your first and last name
*In your comment, tell us your favorite song of Travis’s to date (if you’re familiar with his music. You can be part of the drawing even if you’re not. In fact, you’re the one we’d hope to win.)
We’ll do the random drawing this afternoon and post our winners tomorrow and make arrangements to get them in the mail to you.
If by any stretch of the imagination, you are not chosen in our random drawing of 15, go here to download or purchase it:Β When The Stars Burn Down
If you’re like me, you love knowing about great new music out there that fills up and builds up your soul and brings you to the Throne of God. Enjoy! We love you around here, Siestas!
Oh my gosh, this is so hard. I picked one and then kept thinking of so many more that I wanted to pick as my favorite too. I think my very favorite song by Travis thoguh is 2000 years. Gives me chills everytime I hear him sing it!
Jessica Hogue
I’m not familiar with Travis, but have been looking for some uplifting music to get into!
Stacy Rains
“In Christ Alone”
Cassandra Spicer
I don’t know Travis’ music, but would love to get to know it!
I attended the simulcast this weekend and was so uplifted by Travis Cottrell’s music.Loved every single song.
One of my favorite Travis songs is “alive”. I have many because he is so AWESOME! π
Donna Mckenzie
Mercy Seat, and there is something about the song 2000 years that makes me stop and really think.
I love his singing. I was at one of the Living Proof simulcasts over the weekend. The songs he sang brought me to tears! I wanted to shout from the roof tops that our God is so very good!!!
Love listening to Travis’ music in the video recaps you post on here.
My favorite song, and the first one of his that I ever heard, is “My Passion”. I first encountered him and his music through the Stepping Up Bible Study.
Gail Horton
Angela Hougas-no favorite yet
Dana Abee
“In Christ Alone” is one of my favs. Can’t pick just one. Also, I cannot remember the name of it, but gives me goosebumps when I hear the one he sang at Melissa’s wedding or reception…you mentioned it here on the blog I believe.
Refine me is my favorite song that Travis sings! I would love to have his new CD but if I don’t win it I will buy it for sure!!
Thank you!
New to Travis’ music as of Saturday…. loved the worship experience and look forward to finding some favorites!
Is there a Travis Cottrell song I don’t love? Ummm, no. I think Alive Forever Amen is my very fave. Absolutely love when it comes on my ipod while running. NOTHING like running with chill bumps, praising our Savior!!
I’m sorry to say that I don’t know any of his songs. I have heard him sing a few times on one of the Beth Moore studies and loved them, but have never had a CD of his.
Connie Terry. I LOVE when he does the Shackles song live. You are right..the boy can sing. I loved seeing you up with the praise team singing. If the speaking thing doesn’t work out (LOL) you could be on his praise team. Amazing Saturday. thanks for your obedience!
I am not familiar with Travis but I am VERY familiar with you Beth. If you recommend it, I know I will love it. Looking forward to the blessings this artist will bring!
WOW! Lots of posts so far. Not usually lucky at this drawing stuff but want to at least try. To be honest…don’t know his songs other than when hearing him at a Bible study. He was amazing. Hoping to win it so I can have a fave:)
Lisa Maynard – I love his new song, “I’m changed because of you”. It’s one of those songs that just gets stuck on your mind and brings a smile to your face.
My friend Debbie calls Travis a modern day David and he truly is my favorite worship leader!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, “In Christ Alone” !!! When you were in Atlanta a few years ago Travis sang “Annie’s Song” and it was incredible too ! LOVE you guys so much !!
I’d love a chance to win a copy of his new cd! I’ve heard him at a conference I went to and think his music is so encouraging, amazing and annointed!
In Christ Alone!! So enjoyed the simulcast! My m joined me, her 1st te ever hearing you and she has now decided to join our current study, Patriarchs!
In Christ Alone!
Natalie medina – I live Travis’s voice. I was in lubbock at living proof & worship was amazing. When we sang amazing grace tears flooded from within. It was the best time & a much needed girls outting. I tried to buy his new cd that was on sale there but by the time I got to te front of the line it was sold out π I bought his Jesus saves cd & have listened to it every morning to start my day. I repeat it & just love it all.
2000 years. ’nuff said!!
Diane Rice
Oh my – I LOVE everything that he opens his mouth to sing – BUT – I can’t get enough of him singing “In Christ Alone”. Anointed is not an understatement. Can’t wait to own it – (or win it)
I was soooo happy to see the album was out!!
From this album I love…Refine Me, I heard it for the first time this morning…speaks to where I am right now- a prayer that I hope is very real in my life.
I also love singing The Word of God is Spoken!!
Favorite of all time…hard one. I do LOVE, In the First Light, which I will never tire of hearing at the live events!!
Candice
My favorite song was this one, I dont know the name…
“The Word of God has spoken, we are changed forever, the power of sin is broken, we are free! We are running to salvation, we have been delivered, the Word of God has spoken, we are free!” -Travis Cottrell.
I love “In Christ Alone” awesome song.. uplifting music!
I love all of Travis’ music. But “In Christ Alone” is my favorite.
My name is Krystal Metcalf and I just heard of Travis for the first time and found his music online. I LOVE the song Faithful God!
Nikki Routh
Until this past weekend I had not heard much of Travis’ music. But am truly looking forward to purchasing this album!!
By far my favorite song is “Jesus the One and Only.” It moves me so much every time I hear it…and I hear it often!
Heather Kudla
#1 would have to be “Jesus Saves” and a very close second is “I am Persuaded” Both are very close to my heart and have seen me through some tough times and some wonderful joyous times…
Love it though when my 5 yr old daughter sings along with me to these songs in the car when we are driving (the Jesus Saves Live CD) π
“Jesus Saves” from his Christmas album is my favorite but I play it all year long!
I love all of Travis’ music. I guess if I’d have to pick one it would be “We Long For You”.
Marianne Foriska
Becky Rovenstine – In Christ Alone is absolutely one of my favorites. We sang so many of Travis’ songs when I was on praise and worship team and I loved every one of them. They just have a way of ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit and allowing people to enter into worship with Him! I was so happy to be able to sing ALL of those songs on Saturday!
Heather Smith, Lewiston, Idaho! π
I think my favorite was actually when he sang “God Bless the Broken Road” in the middle of the Steppin’ Up series. That may sound odd, but it was at a hard time for me, and thinking about the song in the context of Jesus was very special! π
I totally enjoy lots of his other worship songs, and when he and his team led at Living Proof Live in Spokane, I was very blessed!
Elizabeth Mullins.
My favorite song of his is “Do It Lord”. I first heard it at the Simulcast for So Long Insecurity. π Would love the chance to win his new CD!
“Mercy Seat” is at the top of my favorite’s list! I cry every time I play it and I play it over and over again;). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the music Travis Blesses my ears with:)! Keep on singing crew!!!
xoxo
I loved his worship at the conference in Lubbock on Saturday. I was not familiar with him, but he is definitely anointed. That was an awesome experience to be there with 9,000 women worshiping. I would love this CD.
Thanks to all of you.
Anna Smith
We love Travis!! Our favorite (right now!) is the first track on his last cd. I believe the name is “To the King” But have yet to hear one I haven’t loved!!
old favorite is In Christ Alone/The Solid Rock; newer fav is I Will Sing of My Redeemer.
I like “Jesus Saves”!
Susan Brown
Jesus Saves
I actually really became familiar with Travis’ music at the simulcast in Atlanta last year, April 2010. Prior to that I heard and loved his song, “Ring the Bells”, which is a gorgeous song! I direct a creative ministry team, Hands In Motion, and we used this song in our Christmas musical. Since attending the simulcast in Atlanta last year, I have “I-tuned” some of his songs. I love “Jesus Saves”, “Do It Lord”, “Victory in Jesus”, “In Christ Alone”, and this past weekend I really liked his version of “Just As I Am”. I would agree that his music is annointed! God would have it no other way with this partnership – annointed music, annointed teaching! π
p.s. I must say I love the ladies that sing with him also.
OHhhh i hope i win π Love his music!
I love Travis’ voice and all of his songs. One of my absolute favorite songs is “In Christ Alone” and I love to hear him sing it. The music at the simulcast Saturday was awesome. He and the rest of the group did a fantastic job and they are even better in person!
I have 2 favorites: Just as I Am & we Will Dance. I play them over & over
& re-live that day. It is helping me so much with the issues I’m struggling
With. I lay on my bed & cry knowing GOD is my strengthre!! Until He returns or calls me home. Here in the power of Christ I stand! It was my first
Time hearing Travis & have so much fell in love with his music I bought 3 CD’sthere & will be buying more & for Christmas presents too.
