Congratulations, ladies! If you will please email [email protected] with your name and mailing address we will get these CD’s to you asap! Of course, we wish we could give away 919 copies, but since we can’t, we are hoping that the rest of you (that would be 904 of you) will go out and buy it today. The link to do that is below. I promise you will not be disappointed. We love you, Siestas!
Update: Comments are now closed so we can do our drawing. Y’all are so fun! Check back tomorrow morning to see who the lucky winners are!
Happy Tuesday, Sweet Things! Something really fun is up today and I didn’t want you to miss it. Travis’s new CD is officially out and, let me tell you, it is my favorite of all his music YET. And, I guess you know, I’ve loved all of them. The mix of music on this thing is so incredible. They’re the kinds of songs you get in your head and you can’t quit singing (and you’re glad you can’t as opposed to those times when you can’t quit singing something stupid). If you participated in the simulcast last Saturday, you heard some of it. I’m trying to resist overusing the word “anointed” but you just see if you don’t sense the Holy Spirit all over it. To commemorate the release of “When the Stars Burn Down,” we’re going to do a random drawing and give away 15 copies. Here’s how you participate in the drawing:
*Leave a comment on this post with your first and last name
*In your comment, tell us your favorite song of Travis’s to date (if you’re familiar with his music. You can be part of the drawing even if you’re not. In fact, you’re the one we’d hope to win.)
We’ll do the random drawing this afternoon and post our winners tomorrow and make arrangements to get them in the mail to you.
If by any stretch of the imagination, you are not chosen in our random drawing of 15, go here to download or purchase it: When The Stars Burn Down
If you’re like me, you love knowing about great new music out there that fills up and builds up your soul and brings you to the Throne of God. Enjoy! We love you around here, Siestas!
I love Travis! Our choir did a series of his songs for a special several months ago. I’m still blown away every time he sings “In Christ Alone”. I know it’s not one of his songs but it gets me everytime.
i was in Lubbock on Saturday. I LOVE LOVE the song “the word of God has spoken” I have been singing the chorus all weekend. I would love to win it for my commutes.
Debbie – MA
I love Travis and the heart he has for the Lord. My favorite song from him is In Christ Alone.
See you in January.
Rebecca Saiz
My favorite Travis song In Christ Alone is a song that gets me everytime!!! I love that song. But anything that comes from his lips I love.
Haven Charlo.
Thank you very much!
Iloved all the songs saturday, but I think my favorite was the one he sang alone. ” In Christ Alone” has been in my head since the april conference in LR.
Cannot remember the name, but the song Travis sang alone Saturday was my favorite of the day. though Gods Spirit spoke to me in all the songs. Beautiful worship experience.
I love “Mercy Seat”
Happy Tuesday Beth,
I was at the simulcast in Eau Claire, WI last Saturday. I was the Event Coordinator for our church. What a blessed day! Every woman who came was blessed in a mighty way. Go ahead and use the word anointed. I would use it to describe both you and Travis. I bought the CD. I love it and can’t stop listening to it. Yes the music gets into your head and you can’t stop. I especially loved I’m Changed, Word of God has Spoken, We Will Dance, Just as I am…oh I guess I loved them all! I want to go to another and another!! We will definitely host them again!!. Hey Beth I sent a email to LifeWay especially to you about a powerful thing God did in my life on Saturday. You experienced something similar too. Can’t wait for you to read it. I have Texas blood in me too!! Bless you Beth! Karen
I love Tavis’ “To The King” and “Forever”.
I listened to/watched the video recap of LPL-Salt Lake City a few times because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the song in the background!!! Don’t know the title but it says, “The WORD of God has spoken, we have been forgiven…” I get Holy Ghost goose bumps just thinking about it!! 🙂
I’m not sure of the title, but he sang it at the simulcast…something about being changed by the Word. I loved it. HOPING I WIN THE CD!!! HAPPY DAY TO ME!
We love Travis. He used to be my worship leader way way back in the day! Nothing of his we don’t love!
I heard Travis last Fall in Houston when Beth had her 3 part series. He was fantastic.
“Do It Lord” is my favorite. It’s so inspirational. I want to stand up & give God the glory. And don’t we love for God to “do it”?
🙂
Some of my old favorites: We Will Dance. Salvation Belongs to Our God, Come Bless the Lord
Thank you for this opportunity! I am not familiar with his music; however, I have been curious since you mention it from time to time. 🙂
Love love love “Jesus Saves”. Gets me every time. 🙂

I don’t know that I can pick a favorite. After the Scripture Memory Celebration in January of 2010 I got his new CD (the one that had just come out then) and have practically worn that puppy out listening to it. My favorite is any one that my then newly-2-year-old would try and sing along to. SO precious! Thanks for the great giveaway.
Blessings,
Shana
I loved “The Word of God Has Spoken” from the Live Event in Lubbock on Saturday! The Authority!Trust it! All of the worship was beautiful! In fact, “Victory in Jesus” was an amazing thing to be a part of! Dancing to Jesus!
My favorite song of Travis’ is “In Christ Alone.” I first heard it at your conference in Little Rock a few years ago. I have the CD it is on and I cry every time I hear it. The best part is my husband likes it too!
I have loved every song I have heard through your recap videos, but I do not have any cds….yet!
Jeannette Phillips
Shiloh Hewitt
I loved the Victory in Jesus performed at the Rapid City, SD event last November. So much that we now sing that version in our Praise and Worship group here in western SD! All Travis’ music is amazing!
Thanks!
In Christ Alone!
Thank you for giving these away! I’ve only heard Travis Cottrell live once & that was years & years ago when you were in Memphis. I’m really not familiar with his music but I remember his music was so moving & sincere I would really enjoy hearing this cd!
In Christ Alone
Love all his songs, God Bless Travis!!!
My favorite song is probably, “O Little Town of Bethlehem”–is it too early for Christmas music? ~Bonnie Sanders
Eva Lawhorn – “Do It Lord” is right at the top, however, “Jesus Saves” and “In Christ Alone” are also way up there! I heard Travis in concert here in Knoxville a while back and LOVED every bit of it.
Ashley, thanks for the youtube video of Travis. That was a blessing.
I am fairly new to Travis’ music. What I have heard is wonderful.
Hi Beth,
I was at the simulcast in Ontario, Canada and LOVED the music. I am not really familiar with Travis’ music but the truths expressed in it really resonated with me. I know I don’t listen enough to worship music and I would love to listen to Travis’ new CD. Thanks for spreading the word!
Angie,Toronto
what a hold dear is the testimony of lilly and how and his wife prayed psalm 91 to be delivered…
a little 2 year old…..knowing the presenceof Jesus because of praying parents.
that’s music to me.
I didn’t hear Travis until I went to Rapid City last year to a Living Proof Live event…his music and heart for our awesome Lord and Savior was amazing!! Now I’m looking forward to seeing him (and Beth of course) in Casper, WY in Nov. I’d love to hear his new C.D. before that!
oops! In Christ Alone!
Jesus Saves.
In Christ Alone and Mercy Seat AND Jesus Saves! My daughters (9,7, and 5) often request Mercy Seat…I gladly play it for them every time they ask 🙂
Misty
I don’t have any albums but I did hear Travis in San Jose a couple of years ago. I would love to have his new CD!
It is too hard to pick a favorite, but I have to pick “In Christ Alone.” We sang Travis’s arrangement of it w/ The Solid Rock at my mom’s memorial service. His CD “Alive Forever” I’ve played so many times (like, almost every day for 18 months in a row) that I just call it “Security Blanket”!
I love his version of “In Christ Alone” better than anyone else’s and it’s one of my all-time (sing it at my funeral) favorites. But “Longing (Abraham’s Song)” always reminds me of The Patriarchs (still one of my very favorite Beth Moore Bible studies). “Made Me Glad” reminds me of worshiping together at LPL. I hate picking favorites! Okay. I’m sticking with “In Christ Alone.” Done.
My Favourite ( at least one of!) by Travis is “He Changed my Name”
My favorite song that Travis sings is with out a doubt In Christ Alone. His version is the best I have ever heard. I love the instrumental parts as much as the words. I do have to say though, I like so many of his other songs a lot too.
Kim Burk
I have yet to hear one of Travis’ songs that I don’t like! “In Christ Alone” has to be one of my favorites and the one he sang alone during the simulcast Saturday is right up there, too!
Not sure I ever heard of him. Tracy In PA
I’m sad to report that I don’t have one single song of Travis Cottrell. 🙁 But I heard him during the simulcast for the first time. Amazing!
I absolutely loved “The Word of God Has Spoken” from the Simulcast Lubbock on Saturday! A… MAZ… ING!!!!!
Of course… In Christ Alone is always close to my heart.
“The Word of God has Spoken”
Rachel Holland
I absolutely love Travis’ music! One song that stands out for me is “In Christ Alone.” It just speaks of such hope!
Shackles is my favorite.
My favorite song so far is “Your Word Is Life To Me”.
I’ve only got to hear Travis twice. Each time I hear the song “If our God is for us”, I am taken back to our worship with Travis. The worship was outstanding. Sacha, Missoula, MT
My favorite is “We long for you”
“In Christ Alone” is my favorite, but right up there is “The Word of God has Spoken”….this one’s been in my head since the simulcast! I LOVE It!! Thanks, Travis!! 🙂
Allyson Neighbors
Favorite song lately is Forevermore (Psalm 145)
April Swafford 🙂 My brain is fried at this point. I do have two of his CDs but for the life of me, I cannot think of a single song.
