Happy Tuesday, Sweet Things! Something really fun is up today and I didn’t want you to miss it. Travis’s new CD is officially out and, let me tell you, it is my favorite of all his music YET. And, I guess you know, I’ve loved all of them. The mix of music on this thing is so incredible. They’re the kinds of songs you get in your head and you can’t quit singing (and you’re glad you can’t as opposed to those times when you can’t quit singing something stupid). If you participated in the simulcast last Saturday, you heard some of it. I’m trying to resist overusing the word “anointed” but you just see if you don’t sense the Holy Spirit all over it. To commemorate the release of “When the Stars Burn Down,” we’re going to do a random drawing and give away 15 copies. Here’s how you participate in the drawing:

My fave song is “Lord You’re Holy”- at least I think that’s the name of it! I love the part where they start breaking down all the names/description of Him–have to take one hand off the wheel and raise it up on that one!
If I ever get married, this is the song I will walk down the aisle to! Glad you love it too!
I’m not familiar with his music, but having looked at the link I’m guessing I’ve heard it on your Bible study DVD’s. And if so, it’s great! I’d love to have a CD to listen to!
Hands down… favorite song of Travis’ is Jesus Saves! Praise God, Jesus does save!

I don’t have a favorite song by Travis as I don’t know much about his music. However, I listen, time and again, to all of Travis’ music that is provided via Vimeo at your visits to each city around the country. I love all of his music!

The Saturday simulcast was the first time I have seen and heard Travis (don’t stone me). I don’t know the title but the song that really spoke to me goes something like this “I come wounded to be healed, I come empty to be filled.”

My absolute favorite song of Travis Cottrell’s is “In Christ Alone”. When his voice comes up out of the praise team’s singing the words “Up from the grave HE rose again” the music just FEELS overwhelming! It’s as if my whole body understands what that amazingly significant act means for me as a believer in Christ. Thank you Travis for making Christ’s resurrection come alive for me in such a tangible way.
I don’t have a favorite! I just love them ALL! I could sit and listen to him sing and sing and sing some more. He is very talented in getting a message across that God wants us to hear.

Mercy Seat is my favorite. When a health crisis forced me to get healthy I downloaded this song and placed it at the end of my playlist so I would hear it as I was finishing running. Made me remember I wasn’t getting healthy to be healthy but to serve that God!
