Congratulations, ladies! If you will please email [email protected] with your name and mailing address we will get these CD’s to you asap! Of course, we wish we could give away 919 copies, but since we can’t, we are hoping that the rest of you (that would be 904 of you) will go out and buy it today. The link to do that is below. I promise you will not be disappointed. We love you, Siestas!
Update: Comments are now closed so we can do our drawing. Y’all are so fun! Check back tomorrow morning to see who the lucky winners are!
Happy Tuesday, Sweet Things! Something really fun is up today and I didn’t want you to miss it. Travis’s new CD is officially out and, let me tell you, it is my favorite of all his music YET. And, I guess you know, I’ve loved all of them. The mix of music on this thing is so incredible. They’re the kinds of songs you get in your head and you can’t quit singing (and you’re glad you can’t as opposed to those times when you can’t quit singing something stupid). If you participated in the simulcast last Saturday, you heard some of it. I’m trying to resist overusing the word “anointed” but you just see if you don’t sense the Holy Spirit all over it. To commemorate the release of “When the Stars Burn Down,” we’re going to do a random drawing and give away 15 copies. Here’s how you participate in the drawing:
*Leave a comment on this post with your first and last name
*In your comment, tell us your favorite song of Travis’s to date (if you’re familiar with his music. You can be part of the drawing even if you’re not. In fact, you’re the one we’d hope to win.)
We’ll do the random drawing this afternoon and post our winners tomorrow and make arrangements to get them in the mail to you.
If by any stretch of the imagination, you are not chosen in our random drawing of 15, go here to download or purchase it: When The Stars Burn Down
If you’re like me, you love knowing about great new music out there that fills up and builds up your soul and brings you to the Throne of God. Enjoy! We love you around here, Siestas!
Thank You, Travis for allowing us to purchase the CD early at Lubbock. What an awesome time of praise and worship at United Spirit Arena as you lead us to the Throne of God! It was so wonderful to be able to take a part of that experience with me as i traveled home from the most amazing weekend with friends and family at the event and throughout the weekend. God ordained such a wonderful time of renewal and refreshment for me. Thank You, Lord for this Living Proof Ministry. My new, favorite song…”Just As i Am”…i can’t get it out of my head. Thank You, Jesus that You meet me “Just As i Am.”
Angie Wilkinson
Travis’s version of In Christ Alone is my all time favorite, also love his version of Annie’s Song.
Hi,
My favorite is “Holy”, heard in the LPL – Charlotte video posted on the blog in July 2011.
Jo Ann Rodgers
I just saw “O My Soul March On” is in the CD! That was our March memory verse! 🙂
Bethany Thrower
I’ve never heard his music, but I’m always looking for new music to remind me of God’s love and push out all the junk I’ve put in my head.
Lauren Parker
I loved Travis’ music at the Living Proof Live I went to, but I’m not familiar enough with his songs to come up with a favorite. Several others have mentioned “In Christ Alone”, which I like a lot.
I’m not familiar with his music also, but would love a copy for my IPOD. Anything centered on Christ helps my day and daily walk for exercise go better.
Rosa Fleming – My favorite song of Travis’ is “In Christ Alone”, but I also really like “To the King”. But in truth you really can’t go wrong with his music.
My favorite song is I’m change because of you! I’m not sure if that’s the name but I believe is in this last CD, since the conference in Lincoln this year I can’t get it out of my head! Excited about the release!
Woohoo!!! I already pre-ordered the cd at MOPS Convention and have just about played the three-song preview cd to death. Would love to win another for a gift.
My name: Kristi Brokaw
My favorite song so far is his version of “Just As I Am.” So beautiful and I was so excited to hear it live in Lubbock this weekend.
I’ve only heard him through Beth’s posts. He sounds awesome!
My favorite is “Holy” from the LPL Charlotte video posted on the blog in July.
Jo Ann Rodgers
“In Christ Alone”, but I love them all!!!!!
Connie Head
I just heard Travis for the first time at your simulcast last Saturday and fell in love with his music. I would love to win his CD and get to hear more of him! Thanks for the opportunity Beth.
Hope I win. I’m not yet familiar w/his music, but it sounds like I’d enjoy it.
Congratulations, Travis! I love Travis’ music, but when I think of him, my very favorite is “Come Home’. It speaks to me of Travis’ heart in reaching the lost one or the one who has strayed, not to mention that God’s heart yearns and reaches for the same!!
Thanks Travis and Beth for offering it!
I would have to say that my favorite song (so hard to pick…I think they are all my favorite) would have to be “Found”…became so special to me after the ‘deliverance’ simulcast a few years ago…this song ushered in such a sweet and special time with my Lord…that ‘so sweet’ that is of the hpyer and lavish sort…
I don’t have a favorite yet but loved everything that was sang Saturday! So uplifting!
Wanda Wise – I like all of Travis’ music.
Sandi Hanson
Deb Weaver
I am embarrassed to say I am not familiar with his music. I shall have to check it out!
I love Travis’ music but honestly can’t think of a song name off the top of my head! Thanks for even considering me…but, rest assured, 15 recipients will be extremely happy and beyond blessed to get it.
Donna says,
I don’t know his music, but love all Christian uplifting songs that teach while they sing.
I LOVE the new song we learned this past weekend at the Simulcast…..”The Word of God has spoken”….and Travis’s version of Just as I am….so good!!!
Kelley Lorenz
I don’t have any of Travis’ music so I really hope I win. I can’t wait to hear the new CD!
Pam Allensworth
I love My Passion!!!
Nikki L’Hommedieu
My favorite song is Praise The King, but not sure that is actually “his” song. So maybe To The King, but it’s SO hard to pick just one.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Danielle Anderson
I was introduced to Travis Cottrell at the Living Proof Conference in May in MN, and again during the simulcast last Saturday! I love the song “I’m Changed”…It has been stuck in my head since Saturday. 😀
Sarah Baggett
I do not know any of his songs.
Love Travis Cottrell! I like In Christ Alone. Congrats on his newest addition!
Cassie Pulley, I don’t have a favorite, but loved Travis leading worship at Deeper Still in Louisville and at the simulcasts that I’ve attended!
I was so wishing to hear more of those precious songs from Saturday’s simulcast – the LORD heard my heart!
I love “Made Me Glad” from “The Lamb has overcome” album.
I do not know his music but have heard it at one of the conferences and love it!
Heather Wiginton
My favorite song is “IN CHRIST ALONE”
Just a perfect, annointing song that God is our Everything
and NOTHING CAN TAKE US OUT OF HIS HAND!!! LOVE IT!!
Janice Parent
I don’t have a favorite, but I have loved having Travis as our worship leader at the simulcast and Living Proof live this last year. I’d love to win his new release.
Cheri Windley
Not completely familiar with his music, but I have heard him at a Beth Moore Living Proof Live in Raleigh a couple of years ago! I hope to win!
Nicole Dalrymple…Many favorites but have to go with ‘Jesus Saves.’ I also LOVE ‘Praise the King’ with Cindy Morgan but I don’t think that’s a Travis original.
“JESUS SAVES” !!!!!! (so hard to choose just one!)
Marie Davis
Byhalia, MS
OH, OH, I heard Travis this weekend and he sang a song near the end that was breathtaking, but I can’t remember what it is. You, Beth also commented on the song. Do you remember? One of my favourites from his albums is “Christ alone”.
Waiting for the Lord to do a good thing!!
When I heard Travis sing “Victory in Jesus” at a Beth Moore simulcast, I immediately went home and downloaded it on my iPod. It was the favorite song of Dr. Adrian Rogers and I remembered so many sweet spirit-filled services with our Bellevue congregation claiming in song our victory in Jesus!
My favorite has to be “in Christ Alone”, when we sang it at the United Spirit Arena this past Saturday I had chills!. My sister was there also, this was her first event and she hasn’t stopped talking about it.
I’m not familiar with Travis’ music, but your description sounds like the kind of music I enjoy!
I have many many favorites, put mostly, In the Sanctuary, Awesome God and The Power of the Cross, (That is just a few, really all of them are my favorites)…
Name: Molly Summer
And my favorite song (right now) is Abandoning Myself…but I also LOVE WORD of GOD has spoken!!!
Oh Beth – Do I get what you are sayin!
Annointed indeed!
I love edifying music that display’s love for the Lord and praise toward what HE has done. A lot of music can be very simple I believe in an attempt to just bring the simple person to Worship. And while that is great and has a huge purpose…Travis has a way of letting GOD bring out the GRANDUER of WORSHIP. We are worshipping a BIG HOLY GOD…lets make it BIG. I love it. The intensity of instruments, the layering of voices (especially the live cds) it adds to such a ‘HOLY PARTY.’ The sort of passion I imagine we will have around the THRONE of GOD in Heaven. We have a glimpse now. I adore it.
I also love We long for you!
Mercy seat. I will turn it up loud and sing to the Lord on my way to work. I have been known to play it over and over. 🙂
Kimberly Cumby
IN CHRIST ALONE or LORD YOU’RE HOLY…can’t choose between those 2 songs which is my fav….both help me to refocus on Jesus no matter what situation I am in.
I hadn’t heard him until the event in Lincoln this past summer, but I loved the song “The Word of God Has Spoken”. I think that song stood out because that was when when I felt the Holy Spirit move most that weekend!
I absolutely love Travis’ album, Found! My favorite song is Forevermore-I think it is the Kingdom of God perfectly described. And because it’s completely about who God is and His attributes it is definitely anointed! 🙂
Denise Perkins — In Christ Alone!!!
First time to hear Travis sing was Saturday at the simulcast… the solo later in the day was AWESOME, but I don’t know the name of it. Just not in the loop about many songs. The simulcast was just the best thing that I’ve done in a long time. Thank you, Beth and thank YOU, Lord.
I absolutely love “You Changed My Name.” I can totally relate to the words of this song. Just love to hear Travis sing. He has a set of pipes!! I came to FB Woodstock for his CD recording there and I can’t wait to get my hands on this CD.
