Ladies! I think a Friday afternoon deserves a celebration. We’ve almost made it through the entire work week! Woo hoo! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is always the hardest part of the giveaway because we’d love to gift all 3,911 of you, but alas, we cannot, which I guess is what makes a giveaway so fun. With that said, join me in celebrating our SIX beloved winners for this fabulous giveaway. Believe me when I say we here at the office are coveting each of the gifts and almost threw a fit when we realized we couldn’t enter the giveaway ourselves. We love fun stuff like this just as much as you do!

DEAR SIESTAS! THE MERE THOUGHT OF YOU IS MAKING ME GO ALL-CAPSY.
It has been FOREVER and then some but I have been thinking about you. I know I haven’t been in this here blog-space much recently but I can assure you that I’m still at LPM. My days are full since I’m working and going to school part-time. AGAIN. Yes, again. Somehow even when I vow to walk away for good, I end up right back in the classroom in some capacity. This time around I’m working slowly on a M.A. in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. When I’m not researching something for a project at LPM, I’m taking a Greek class in the Septuagint and a Hebrew readings class in the Joseph narrative. Oh, and how could I forget to mention Winston Jeffrey Fitzpatrick?! A little over a year ago Colin brought home a baby rottweiler and our life has never been the same since (even when I desperately want it to be!). Winnie is SO, SO bad but we love him madly.
Here is W posing in my dining room. Or demanding a filet mignon cooked over medium, I’m not really sure.
Here he is again furious about having to wear his birthday hat:
But really, enough about us.
I want to talk about YOU and a fall giveaway we are doing because we love you and appreciate you.
Now, I should mention at this point that if you are one of those people who is SO OVER all the talk about pumpkin-flavored anything, then you will want to run for your life.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Do I have a faithful fall remnant?
This weekend we had our first legit “cold-front” here in Houston. It was even down in the forties one night. Glory be! The crisp cold air in my lungs got to me in the best way possible and, of all things, I wanted to cook. There’s just something about fall that always brings me back to the kitchen. Nothing better than listening to a little Norah Jones or The Civil Wars with the windows cracked open, cool breeze dancing through the house, while a chili or stew simmers on the stove. I thought just maybe fall might do the same for some of you so the grand prize winner will get a redΒ Le Creuset signature round dutch oven (red not orange like the one on the box).
I love it passionately and do not want to let it go. I even enjoy posing with the beloved dutch oven:
The second prize to be claimed is a $100 gift card to Pottery Barn because, let’s be honest, Pottery Barn during the fall season is heaven on earth:
Gift number 3 includes an amazing decorative pillow, fall flower arrangement, and Hill Country Home candle.
Gift number 4 includes a fun little clutch from Anthro, a scarf, several pairs of boot socks, and some gorgeous MAC makeup in fallish colors.
Here is Lindsee modeling the scarf. Love her and she can work a scarf better than anyone I know:
This MAC stuff is tough to photograph but fantastic (includes three eye shadow kits and two lipsticks in shades of Russian Red and Viva Glam III).
Gift number 5 has a bunch of fun stuff: Cook’s Illustrated Fall Entertaining magazine, kitchen towels, mulling spices, Hill Country Home candle (again this is one of my faves!), autumn cupcake decorating set, beautiful engraved silver dish, Trader Joe’s Pumpkin bread mix, and more.
Gift number 6 comes with a fun autumn welcome mat, potpourri, decorative kitchen towel, and my favorite ever mulled apple cider candle. DIVINE.
Here is Mom sorting out all the gifts. Isn’t she cute?
So dear friend, for a chance to win one of the six prizes, please leave a comment with your first and last name and tell us something you love about fall.
We love you so much,
Melissa

Fall is my favorite season for a bunch of reasons:
crunchy leaves
boots
soup
open windows
slower pace
blue skys
full moon
sipping hot tea while sitting on my front porch
all the red, yellow, and orange leaves
Fall, especially October, is one of God’s greatest gifts!!
The Fall is my most favorite of all the seasons! The leaves are warm and crisp and rich. It’s the perfect time to settle in with a warm blanket and mocha and just revel in God’s canvas of colors! Even the smells of Fall are deeper and spice filled! There’s just too much wonderful to narrow down!

Thanks for the chance for a great treat. I love fall ,it brings all my girls in for dinners and restful weekends of movies and naps
I love EVERYTHING about fall!!!
I love hiking in the fall! Our metroparks offer a fall hiking spree, which we have completed the past two years. So fun!
I love the beauty of the fall colors, the reds, yellows, oranges.
Everything! Especially the colors.
Having moved to FL about 11 years ago from CT, I have such an appreciation for fall in New England. The foliage is breathtaking!!! I also love sweater weather and meals that can cook in a crockpot all day.
I love the way every color God ever created can be seen in fall. From the yellowing aspen leaves to the orange scrub oak to the fire red maple leaves….from the golden sunrise set against the deep blue of night fading away to the lucious pink and purple sunset bowing behind the deep green Colorado mountains.
The thing I love about fall is that in the part of the country where I live the tree leaves turn all beautiful colors of gold, orange, red and many shades in between. It is such a glorious picture of God’s handiwork. It is, too, a reminder of the winter to come, a time of dormancy and a time to rest…maybe even hibernate a little. A wonderful time for staying in and being in God’s word.
I just love the smell of fall! π Thanks to you all for thinking of us!!
Hey, I’m Janice Impson. Fall is a time of year I start slowing down from all the gardening and yard work of the summer. A time to start enjoying all the fruits of my labor. A time of festivals, seeing old friends and meeting new ones as I travel around the festivals with my jewelry booth. A time to reflect and count all the many blessings that I have received through out the year. This fall I have been especially blessed, I had my very first grandchild, a grandson named Jensen and what a blessing he has been. God’s blessings are abundant. Reflecting on them blesses me even more!
What do I love about Fall? Our state has experienced extreme drought now for two years in a row and this fall the cottonwood trees were such a brilliant, golden color. Their leaves just shimmered in the sun.
Kelli Cox- LOVE anything pumpkin and especially love the gift of actually finding canned pumpkin in a store over here- usually have to cook it myself which is fine but the convenience of the can is a fun surprise!
Fall reminds me of crisp cool North Carolina mornings and evenings that would last until the streetlight came on.I can still smell the burning wood from our fireplace. I still like good cocoa and a big sweater to take me back.

My favorite thing about fall this year is bundling up my sweet 2 week old baby! Best Fall ever!
I love the cool breeze, fall colors and hearty food. π I couldn’t pick just one. π
I love the Fall! It stirs memories of my father who has gone to be with
Jesus ! He always took the dogs out to coon hunt!
Sometimes he’d turn them loose and we’d listen to them
Crunch through the leaves, with a chill I’m the air and listen to
Them trail . Hayrides! Beautiful pumpkins, apple cider
And the beautiful colors! Favorite season (second to beach season
My name is Keturah Garner and I love Fall! One of my favorite things is soup cooking in the crock pot all day : )
I love everything back to school! And pumpkin flavored.
I love the cooler weather, the beautiful colors, football season, the great clothes – layering, boots, scarves, and the hints in the air that Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner.
*sigh*…Fall. I love fall because it’s the changing of another season…it’s refreshing, colorful and I love to watch the leaves dance across the yard. Thanks so much for all you ladies do in serving our Lord!
Fall is fun because we finally get to drink those hot drinks without overheating! And gloves and scarves…well, they’re just so much fun! Thanks for the fun giveaway!
My favorite thing about Fall is the cooler weather, a holiday every month, and the time off my husband takes to spend with our family.
Fall is my favorite season for many reasons but I love LPM more!
I love the changing colors of the leaves, and the crisp cool air.
Rachel Whitmore
I love everything fall, but my favorite thing is the weather. I love the crisp, cool morning and the break from the oppressive heat of summer.
Melissa P. I love fall because I love fall clothes! All things leopard, jeans with heels, heeled boots, sweaters, big earrings, bigger hair than summer! What’s not to love??!?! I’m even thinking of trying smokey eye makeup this year. π
I live in Kentucky so we have so many beautiful fall colors on our trees. Every gorgeous color you could imagine. I love looking at our trees and also enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
I love you and your family, Melissa, and all the wonderful folks at LMP.
Thanks for sharing your lives with us.
I love fall decorations (especially pilgrims!), Thanksgiving and the beginning of the holday season!
I love fall for the beautiful leaves and that it is almost Christmas!!
Even though Fall is the busiest time of the year for our family, it’s my favorite season! I most love the colors of the leaves and the way the sunlight seems that beautiful warmer color of orange as it shines through the leaves. I love driving and seeing the mountains in all their glorious colors! How creative is our God! It also means its time for fun things like chili, jeans, and boots!
I love fall beacuse it is crisp and cool weather and I also love all of the different colors of leaves. My children love to rake the leaves into a big pile and play in them.
My favorite thing about fall is pumpkin bread. I worked with a woman who made the best pumpkin bread but she would never share her recipe. When I found a new job she gave me a card and told me I couldn’t open until I clocked out and was on the parking lot. In the card was her pumpkin bread recipe! I make it every year near the end of September until Christmas and then I pack the recipe away until the next year.
Are you serious? That is a LOT of goodies all piled up in one giveaway party. I’m IN!
Suzanne Taylor and I love Fall because the weather is finally pleasant and the flies all die. If they don’t die, don’t tell me. I like living the fantasy. Happy Fall, Y’all!
Fall mornings are special to me because I love to turn on the fireplace while I have coffee and devotion in God’s Word. Beth’s book Praying God’s Word Day by Day has been a part of my devotion time for 1 1/2 years and was the beginning of my daily walk with The Lord Jesus.
Fall is the best season because it brings relief from the hot, hot summer, it begins a fresh new school year, it provides pumpkin flavored everything, and cozy evenings with the fire pit and a cup of hot chocolate!
My favorite Fall Happenings are leaves changing color, the crunchy sound they make as they tumble down the sidewalks and the laughter when our five year old jumps in them!
I love that we get to see family we haven’t seen for a while!
Today I am quadruple exited to be in the middle of your James Bible Study and am moved and inspired!
God bless you for teaching by God’S DIRECTION!

Jaye Hammon. I maybe to late to enter my computer crashed. I do want to share about fall. It is my favorite time of the year. I love the trees turning different colors. They are so beautiful. I love watching them fall. I like to play in the leafs. I need a grandchild to play with me but my six are ages 13 to 9 so they just think Mimi has lost it. Fall just makes me smile and as you are looking at the trees you can’t help saying Hi and thank you to God.
Lindsey Harris – one of my favorite things about fall is the Crock Pot! I have used mine four or five times in the last few weeks, and it just excites me to come home and know dinner is ready!!
Fall reminds us that things change and blessings are new EVERY morning. So THANKful for:
T – Two GREAT kids! I’m so proud to be their momma.
H – Husband who is awesome beyond measure (he even irons).
A – Adventure. I live in my passion zone. I’m a family law attorney and every day brings new challenges as I remind my clients that there are many things to be thankful for, even during a tough “season.”
N – Nieces and Nephews. Last week we were graced with nephew #15 and we are expecting great-nieces #11 and #12. A growing family is a pleasure to be daily counted.
K – Kristi (me). I turn 38 on Thanksgiving and GOD IS FAITHFUL, even with my additional grey hairs and liver spots.
S – Sisterhood. My lady friends are the bomb. Made some great new friends this year when the ladies in my neighborhood did Beth’s study on Esther. Great girlfriends can make chiastic structure funny. π
I love the cooler temperatures that fall brings! It’s been a long, hot, dry summer here in Kansas.
Oh. And I bought a case of pumpkin last week. I love anything pumpkin, too.
I love the leaves as they change color. The smell of apple or pumpkin pies baking. Cuddling up in a quilt. The warmth of the house as I leave the chilly outdoors.
Favorite thing about fall??? CLEAN FRESH AIR!!!! I love to ride a back-road (thats what we call it out here- lol) windows down and music loud!!! LOVE IT!
I am enjoying the crisp, mostly cooler, air! Sunshine and blue skies, but still COOL! And, my birthday is in the fall. Grateful that my 42nd is coming soon! Happy Fall!!!
October is my favorite month of the year because of the cool, crisp days. The smoke from summer’s fires is gone and the skies are blue; the trees are brilliant shades of gold, red and yellow. I love going down to the orchards and getting apples to make into applesauce. The routines of school and daily life are back to normal and we can start looking forward to the holidays. The crockpot has something warm and yummy in it. I love fall!!
I love fall, the colors and the cool weather give me a sense of anticipation. There is excitement in the air, fireplace and hot caramel cider, Yum!
I love going on walks with my family in the fall. The weather is just right and the scenery is beautiful.
Melissa,
Have you considered being a college proff? As much as you love research I think you’d be great! Plus you get a clean slate of students each semester. It’s one of the few jobs where that happens.
Christie Leveille. And I love wearing dresses with tights and riding boots to work! So comfy!
I’m in South Carolina and we have this maple tree that LOVES when Autumn shows up. I know that because as soon as the air gets crisp, this tree turns the most spectacular shade of orange I’ve ever seen. Crayola eat your heart out! There’s probably 100’s of them in this area and every single time I pass one…literally, every single time…my foot finds the brake and I slow down so I can take it in and enjoy it. I never, ever, get tired of those maple tree’s color in the fall.
The eye candy of that tree and homemade chili on the stove (I save chili for fall and winter only!) means that Autumn is my absolute favorite time of the year!
