Congratulations!! You did it!!
As we wrap a bow on our SSMT year and prepare for the upcoming Celebration, we want to send along our encouragement to you to continue in this great work. Some of you have already told us you are continuing to memorize on your own, or have even formed your own local teams. We couldn’t be happier to hear it!
Beth and LPM will plan to see you right back here next Jan 2017 to link arms together to hide God’s Word in our hearts. He is worthy!

As iron sharpens iron so one person sharpens another.
This year of memory verses has made such a change in my heart. I am so glad that I had started this for 2015! I lost my father-in-law and then my dear grandmother. I had days where my June 1 memory verse was what kept me grounded.
6/1/15 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26 (ESV)
I stopped reporting until November, I had a few memory verses in between. But I came back. Thank you LPM Blog people!

“I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.””
Psalm 40:8 NIV
One of my first verses and this last verse referred to having His law within my heart. While it wasn’t intentional on my part, I know He was emphasizing the importance of this year’s efforts of memory work by speaking through these verses. How great and how personal His love is for each of us. LPM Staff, thanks for all of your coordination of this project. So much fruit!

Looking back at all 4 spirals, 2009-2015, two things are obvious. Each year reflects the seasons and challenges of that year, AND apparently, Psalms and Isaiah are my favorite books.

Thank you very much for doing this!!! The video celebrating with Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus was such an encouragement because how many of us feel it just isn’t engrained enough yet? That will take however long it takes, but how grateful I am for the impetus to keep learning and reviewing scripture.
Our Bible study did MERCY TRIUMPHS this spring, and I am still working on James—I take a “break” between chapters for any non-James I need to learn such as the above (right now am planning to begin chapter three in January while I keep reviewing one and two this month).
This has been the hardest year of my life. My amazing, godly Mama died January 13, and most of the first verses I posted at first had to do with trying to process her death (Psalm 16:6, 1 Cor. 2:9, Psalm 34:18, Psalm 147:3, Job 1:21, 2 Cor. 1:10b-11a).
You ladies out there just don’t know how much I appreciate your verses and the camaraderie (even from cyberspace) of knowing you were working on yours, too.
May God bless and lead us all to obey and trust Him more daily in the coming year.
With profound gratitude, Jennifer Mosher

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters.[a] Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. 9 Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, …
Thank you for the constant encouragement! This year is the most I’ve been disciplined with Scripture memory, though I’ve tried often in the past (and will continue working at it!) My year was full of ups and downs, and my mom’s cancer diagnosis was the hardest to take. I’m praising Him that He used His word through me (and so many others) to offer her encouragement, and to be strong when she could not. I’m also praising Him that she’s doing really well now.
I can’t wait to see how His word in me will continue to bear fruit.

Thank you so much, Beth! I can never live without SSMT again now! This was a wonderful journey. There’s no feeling like having Jesus, the Word of God, in your mind throughout the day and What a Protection against the onslaught of the evil one (like a helmet!)
Looking back, this is a book of markers of life along the trail – sometimes altars built. So much life is written with invisible ink between the pages and it has become a treasure book written by the Hand of the True Treasure: King Jesus! I cannot tell you how meaningful this was and is. I asked God for most every verse He wanted and it was like Jesus tied my hiker boots and off we went together. Looking back, I can about guess the title He had in mind.
I can’t wait to see what next year’s title will be! Glory!!!!!!!

Thank you for this accountability, Miss Beth and all of you at LPM. You continue to bless us with your ministry to us.

We hear the love and we so cherish that, need that. To be called “beloved” here in this world is unbearably wonderful.
Have a lovely Christmas!

I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. –Psalm 34:4 NASB
I began memorizing Scripture in 2009 during the first SSMT, so this is my 7th year to commit His Word to my heart and mind. My tears fall on my keyboard because it has been life-changing in the intimacy I now have with Him. I love His Word like no other love in my life. I believe Him more. I trust Him more. As I’ve been on my face in recent months asking Him to move in the life of a family I love oh so much, His Word has sustained us. He is our hope! I will never have adequate words to articulate my appreciation to Beth, KMac, and each of you at LPM. Thank you for your obedience to His calling over your most precious lives! I love you.
This is beautiful, Melanie. Thank you for sharing!

Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority before all time, now and forever, Amen.
Feel so blessed to have “stumbled” upon SSMT 2015. After many years trying to memorise scripture in my own strength, to have the encouragement of such a body of women, all relying in His Strength (John 14:26) to plant His word deep within us has been amazing. The verses I have memorised have been used by God for my teaching, encouragement and strength but also to those that I have come into contact with. A big thank you to all the team who faithfully keep this blog going. I won’t make it to the gathering in January – but will be celebrating with you.
So great to have you join us memorizing this year! Siesta all over the world are drawing their Swords!

Dear Beth,
Thank you for your encouraging words always. This is my second year with the SIESTA group and I am more disciplined in memorizing than ever. 2013 our family was divided and as a mother my heart was broken. I was encouraged by my youngest daughter to join the group to memorize. By end of year 2013 all the verses came alive and we had a reunion that I never expected. Our God is faithful even when we are not. This year it began very well but toward the middle our family took another hard blow. My regular prayer as a mother is to ask Him to help me overcome my unbelief. As the year closes we face lot of uncertainty and fear. However I am thanking Him for his indescrible gift that he has given us. I am claiming his promise that he will make everything new. So for you to share the verse from Isaiah helped me once again. Hope to see you in Houston.
Thank you and your team. May God bless you!
Merry Christmas.

God is so faithful, so, so faithful. I left a job of 16 years in retail to start a new job this past Jan 2 of banking. I’ve FULLY entrusted my grown children back into the Lord’s hands and seen prayers answered. He has been with me every step of the way, even when I could not see it. This isn’t the first time I’ve done SSMT but its the one that really has brought me closer to God, fully believing and trusting. HIS word does not return void!!
