Congratulations!! You did it!!
As we wrap a bow on our SSMT year and prepare for the upcoming Celebration, we want to send along our encouragement to you to continue in this great work. Some of you have already told us you are continuing to memorize on your own, or have even formed your own local teams. We couldn’t be happier to hear it!
Beth and LPM will plan to see you right back here next Jan 2017 to link arms together to hide God’s Word in our hearts. He is worthy!

“So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”
1 Peter 4:19 NIV
When I found this blog and decided to make the commitment to memorize 2 verses a month, I had no idea how God would supernaturally direct me to each and every verse He knew I’d need for what was ahead! This past year has been a very difficult one in many ways, but especially in ministry. But God knew just which scriptures would be the right ones I’d need for my aching heart. Praise His infinite wisdom! Praise His amazing love, grace and mercy! Praise His unfailing faithfulness! For He has sustained me through His Word and has upheld me when I was faint! Glory be to His name forever!
Thank you Beth and K Mac and staff! Loved the Hallelujah Music and your festive attire. Yes, how many friends would do this for us? You have blessed us so with God’s Word, your enthusiasm, joy, wisdom, fear of and LOVE of LORD! Thank you so very much.
Deborah Mott, Bradenton, FL. Matthew 1:21 KJV: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
This year of Scripture Memory has been a blessing in countless ways. Here are a few: I started off the year with Ephesians 4:32: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. That really is the Gospel in practical living to me. This verse’s admonition has had deep impact in transforming me as I have prayed it and meditated on the Truth and transformation it brings as I purpose to obey it trusting GOD to make it real in my heart and life. There is MUCH for me to forgive myself and my husband and many others for and this verse has been very instrumental in helping me live out the POWER OF GOD”S FORGIVENESS not because I deserve it or my husband or others deserve it but because CHRIST EARNED OUR FORGIVENESS! He paid for our debts! FOR CHRIST’s SAKE GOD FORGAVE US! The work of God through Christ for our behalf because God so loved us, brought our forgiveness! He calls us to forgive and made the way of true forgiveness possible. Forgiveness is hard work but starts with the WORK OF CHRIST. This verse kept taking me back to why I forgive: FOR CHRIST’s SAKE He hath forgiven me! This verse defined my year and helped me immensely.
Verses on LOVE like John 13:34-35, Matthew 22:37, John 15:13, 1 John 4:16 were the next set of verses that helped me. Living Forgiveness and Love = foundational to truly living IN CHRIST and FOR Him and as “living proof” of Him in my life. Meditating on these Truths have been dynamite to destroy unloving thoughts and feelings. It has been a break through in my accepting the Gospel to myself and extend it to others.
Thank you all.
I would love to offer youth at Youth for Christ a similar program.
Thank you for the example and life giving breakthroughs that come with seeking God and knowing, meditating, believing iN HIS WORD!

This wonderful, healing word of God that I’ve hidden in my heart over this past year has meant so much to me. After having my Mom and my sister, who was also my best friend go to heaven, I needed His comfort in a big way. When Beth shared Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints,” I used it as my memory first some months back, and it brought me such peace i cant explain! This has been an amazing and healing experience, and I thank God for it!

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life — whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

God has been so faithful! I can’t say I have been, but this accountability has really helped. As I help my AWANA girls memorize, they’re always interested in what I’m memorizing and even listen to me say my scriptures. What an encouragement it is to me AND to them to do this together. Thank you, Beth, and the team for giving us the outlet and encouragement to hide His word deep in our hearts and let it pierce even to the marrow of our bones! The last scripture below is my prayer, my desire for this new year.
“How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” Psalm 84:1-2 NIV(1984)

My testimony: Nov. 28 a cash sale of our condo/home was to close, but on Nov. 17 a huge Douglas fir on the slope behind our condo had to much rain, etc. and it fell from the roots up to over our condo, breaking at the top of our roof and the rest of it falling to the front to damage a front eave and knock the side mirror off my husbands truck(it was dangling and he strapped it back on with a bungee). As the condo shook, we were in the front of the condo. We heard and saw the walls shiver! Thank the Lord Doug & I are safe!
At this point our buyers are waiting for a new roof since 6 cross trusses were broken or cracked. Where faith also comes in – that Ameriprise’s Insurance Agent Kia will approve to send us funds in time to pay one of the condo payments on January 1st – #1 for the damaged condo or #2 for the rental we had just put deposits on the day before the tree fell. Am writing from the rental, and I read my verse with tears in my eyes because the Lord’s strength has carried me and my husband through the falling of the tree and the “postponement” of the sale of our condo! God is the “portion” I need!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast–it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is to self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.”

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned… For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonder Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will e no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
Scripture has grounded me and tethered me in a year of hardship and upheaval. I don’t know how I would have survived without the Lord sustaining me. Thank you so much for creating this place where the opportunity to share and be encouraged and accountable has kept me coming back and being diligent about my memory work. Without deadlines it would have been easy to push it off and never get it done.

I have seen through this experience that if I really want to meditate on the Word it comes through memorizing it because I go over it and over it through words, phrases and sentences, emphasis, etc. It has been a blessing beyond belief. I’m bringing 5 ladies with me to Houston and we can’t wait. Thank you Beth for providing a fun, inspiring and workable way to accomplish this very important spiritual discipline. We will be forever changed for His glory.

If your law had not been my delight, I would perish in my affliction. Psalm 119:92
I testify to the greatness, love, and mercy of Papa God!!!! 2015 has been filled with anxiety unlike anything I have every experienced on many levels. About the time I would get relief the hammer would fall again. My brother-in-law died in April from early onset Alzheimer’s at 56 yrs old. The very next night my husband’s baby sister fell, hit her head and died. Her funeral was on her 41st birthday. And 2 days ago my sister that her husband passed away in April was told she has breast cancer. I have found myself in home with no children and friends who don’t call anymore. But through it all my scripture has given me relief! And then Beth’s simulcast felt as if God had given her those words just for me. And then Audacious has reeled me in to show me that Jesus is it! The missing piece to all my anxieties, grief, and now the strength to walk through breast cancer with my dear sister. All my scripture has been like salve on my heart this year. I wish with all my heart I could come to Texas for the celebration! If anyone were to read this please pray for my sister to get a miracle in Jesus Name!! Love to all!
Praying for you and your sister.

Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:8-9 NIV
Joining this group of ladies has been a life line to me this year. My husband and I are youth ministers at an army base here in Texas. The battle rages around us in the lives of military families as well as our own family. Satan is coming against our children with a vengeance, and there are times when the battle is overwhelming to me. I stumbled on this memory team for the first time this year, and was immediately drawn to it. I had not memorized with any structure in so long, and I desperately needed to start again. I had many verses kind of memorized, but his year has helped me to be lazar focused in memorizing and praying as God has taken me on a journey with the verses he brought me to each time. They have dramatically impacted my life, and I am so thankful. I was so looking forward to coming in January, and because of something that has been scheduled for the same day, I will be unable to attend. I’m so sad, but still so thankful that I have spent this year with you.

And, yes, at times I chose one “out of the hat”, but God was faithful to show me THAT week that verse in action! His Word is truly food for our spirits! We will see you at the conference next month! Can’t wait to be in that assembly of God’s daughters praising Him!
