Congratulations!! You did it!!
As we wrap a bow on our SSMT year and prepare for the upcoming Celebration, we want to send along our encouragement to you to continue in this great work. Some of you have already told us you are continuing to memorize on your own, or have even formed your own local teams. We couldn’t be happier to hear it!
Beth and LPM will plan to see you right back here next Jan 2017 to link arms together to hide God’s Word in our hearts. He is worthy!

I am so thankful that I did the scripture memory this year. This is my first time. You never know what a year will hold and you can never go wrong when we put the “Living Word” within you. My testimony of how the memory work weaved into my whole year would be to long for this post. But, thank you…thank you for this wake up call.

The last two memory verses for December 1 and 15. I have been in a battle for three months with my husband dealing with lung cancer and being in and out of the hospital throughout. On Friday he saw the heavens open and receive his spirit celebrating this season with Jesus…and what a celebration. Tomorrow we will be having his Celebration of Life at church and look to Him to do great and mighty things in the heart of those who attend.

I thank you and praise You, O God of my fathers, for You have given me wisdom and power; even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter. Daniel 2:20-23 NASB
I end the year with Daniel as our Bible study group is in the middle of Beth’s Daniel study. My SSMT memory verses are like a journal of how God has been working in me this past year and His faithfulness. January was Deut. 31:8 for direction for my young widowed daughter, Heb. 11:1 as we continued to process grief, many weeks in Col. 1:9-12 for wisdom for me and each of our family members, praising Him for answered prayer in Ephesians 3:20, and in verse 21 praying for our wonderful church family. Praying for our nation with Is. 45:22 and Joel 2:13. God’s teaching me about my words in Ps. 141:3 and Ephesians 4:15, courage in II Tim 1:7, and my pride in Ephesians 4:2. And now Daniel, the wonderful verses 2:20-23 that become increasingly personal as he prays. Thank you, Beth and all at LPM. For years I’ve asked for a Scripture Memory partner and now I have many. 🙂 The accountability is wonderful and when discouraged, I would just read through the verses other women were memorizing and just be washed with God’s Word. He is so good.

This has been a big challenge for me. I have always wanted to start memorizing scripture and to be able to do this with some wonderful ladies from my church was just a huge blessing. I made some new friends and am excited to travel down to Houston with them to see Beth for the first time and to worship together.
