Congratulations!! You did it!!
As we wrap a bow on our SSMT year and prepare for the upcoming Celebration, we want to send along our encouragement to you to continue in this great work. Some of you have already told us you are continuing to memorize on your own, or have even formed your own local teams. We couldn’t be happier to hear it!
Beth and LPM will plan to see you right back here next Jan 2017 to link arms together to hide God’s Word in our hearts. He is worthy!

“When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.””
Judges 6:12 NIV
This journey has been my saving grace. I have been defeated to rise up. I have lacked peace and joy. I have been robbed of my self-esteem and belief in myself. This was a year of turmoil and one of the hardest spiritual battles I have ever faced. It has taken over 8 months of prayer, petition and Scripture to rejoice at what God has done. I have been sifted by Satan only to realize that once again Jesus is the captain of my ship. I have been on my knees like David, on my knees weeping at the feet of Jesus like Mary and wavering like Peter only to be washed with grace and understanding. How did I get to rejoice? I walked through these 24 Scripturs. I haven’t memorized every word but they have been my guiding light as I fought a mighty enemy. Thank you Beth for stirring us up, encouraging us and for coming to Wichita at the pinnacle of my battle. I was weary and heavy laden and that’s the scripture that was attached to my chair! I almost wept at the mercy our father has for us! Thank you to a Father who lifted His child to be a warrior. He came before me in battle and although my mountain hasn’t moved yet, I know Jesus will move it. Blessings to you and all the siestas who yearned for our Saviors heart. May He bless every warrior that believes in Him!

Then I will hold my head high

Isaiah 49:16 NIV
This is my second time to complete SSMT and I have just fallen more in love with Jesus and His Word. I can still say all my verses from the fist year…praying these 24 verses will stick like glue too and stay deep in my heart. Thank you Siesta Mama!Loved the celebration and confetti today. You are so fun!

“Remember the former things of old: For I am God and there is none else; I am God and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure.” Isaiah 46:9&10 (KJV)

“You are my refuge and my shield. I have put my hope in your word. Away from me you evil doers that I may keep the commands of my God!” Psalm 119:114 (NIV)
(Thank you, Lord, for leading me to memorize “hope” scriptures this year. You have encouraged, sustained, and given stamina to continue hoping in what seems like hopeless situations to me. You’ve encouraged others as you’ve spoken these verses to others through me. Thank you for enabling this 75 yr old brain to learn and retain. You are truly our God of Hope.)
“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Year #4 to do SSMT & God has used these passages over & over to remind me of His faithfulness & goodness! Even if I’ve gotten behind a time or two, I know that any word of His planted in me is changing my heart. So grateful to do this with you girls. Thank you for spurring us on, Living Proof team!

“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all thing. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-8a (NASB)
Note: I did not know in January that the year 2015 would see my family in the midst of becoming Foster Parents through our state. The verses on my heart have carried me through the process so far, especially when my mind cannot comprehend how we will see this through. I have been so encouraged by having my verses to counteract doubts and fears all year long! What a blessing and I am so thankful I joined this group this year! Thanks you ladies!!!
Thank you Brth & blessings to you & yours this season!!! These verses have been a “life line” this year. Xooo

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
I love being able to use the scriptures that are now in my heart to pray for myself and others. God’s word comforts, convicts, and connects us like nothing else. I never imagined that I could learn all these verses. His power within us to do all things for His glory and our good is awesome! I rest in His sovereignty and grace.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation. Psalm 91:15-16
This was my first year memorizing scriptures with you. My sister asked me to join her in doing it. I am so thankful for the comfort and peace that scripture brings. In March, my husband was diagnosed with lymphoma. I lost my first husband to cancer 8 years ago so many fears arose. I have clung to every scripture I memorized while sitting in doctors offices, chemo rooms and hospital rooms. Just last week, we got the news that he is cancer free! Praise God, Praise God!
Kim Lee, Faison, NC: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11. This scripture memory exercise has helped me SO much this year! I have opened God’s word with a new purpose and excitement. And I have experienced comfort in some times of trial this year. Thank you, Beth, for opening this door for us all!

This verse is in honor of you and your team, Beth for the inspiration and the motivation you continue to provide to all of us to know and BELIEVE that God’s Word is alive and active in us… And to live accordingly. The more of His word that I plant in my mind the more JOY I am experiencing in this mess of a life I built.
Catherine Lisle, Albuquerque NM. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst,a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing” (ESV). I have loved looking back over verses I memorized during the year and seeing how God has provided. My scripture memory became my prayers and my quiet time during a few hard months (new baby, moving, loss of loved ones) and God always made it so rich. I took the advice to write on the back of cards why I chose each verse– doing so has helped me realize I’m no longer under the stronghold I was at the time (fear, loneliness, and doubt). This process has been so good for me to focus my thoughts and truly memorize scripture. Thank you for all the encouragement!

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them we may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption of the world caused by evil desires.

“In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ”

The study of the Word always gives me a serious push towards less of me and more of Him. I have suffered life without the gift of God, Living Water, and I never want to be without it again.(John 4:10)
In the natural all things shrivel without water. But Living Water shrivels the carnality of man and refreshes, builds, and strengthens the spirit in man.
I do not know whether I will be able to attend the January gathering but it has been a blessing to gather here on these entries. I was always amazed as I read the entries posted during the same time period as my own. More often than not, the word written before and after my own entry would be a comfort or a word spoken in due season for me.
Beth Moore, thank you for providing this learning platform for your sisters. Sisters (Siesta’s) thank you for the fellowship of Gods word shared in your own journey. It blessed my journey.
We are lifetime learners of the grace of God. As I typed my entry just now, I saw my daily/ year planner in front of me on my desk.
I am going to transfer my scriptures from this memorization time to a single page in my 2016 planner. Each of these scriptures were quickened to my understanding as a word in due season throughout this past year.
His Word sews up the broken places and knits me anew. And like a favorite sweater, I want to wrap up in the comfort and beautiful tapestry of His Word given, as I continue to pursue my relationship with Him.
A blessed new year to all.
May the LORD bless us, keep us, may His face shine upon us, be gracious unto us, lift up his countenance upon us, and give us peace. In Jesus name. Amen.

Again I’m late in logging in, i have falling behind months ago.
Although it’s been a crazy (good) year, with my husband coming down with shingles, (he’s doing much better) and there was 3-4 weeks I wasn’t able to apply my scripture But for me this has been such an eye opening season too much to share it all
But it truly has been a fun/scary/adventurous/exciting/frustrating. Thank you for this time it’s been quite a journey!
