Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.

My husband has had to do most of the cooking lately, as I have had health issues. This would be an incredible gift for him. Thanksgiving is a big deal in his family, so the cooking of the meal is very important. He would never ask for this, but I know it would bless him as well as me.

This would be a perfect for my sisters and I. This is the first year doing Thanksgiving dinner together since our mother’s passing last year. Our mother always had a big feast even when years were not so financially stable. She always pointed out the true meaning for the holidays and always made them special. Whoever receives this I hope will be a blessing to. Thank you for sharing this with us all.

Praying for the winners that they would be blessed by being selected.
Thankful for the Lord’s safety and protection of my oldest son who just returned from a deployment in Afghanistan. God taught me on his very first deployment that HE could be with my son no matter where he was and that I had to trust HIM and let go of a mother’s control and let the FATHER handle what I can’t. 3 deployments and GOD is ever faithful… I stand amazed.
The only thing better in the baskets would be a message/teaching from Beth! Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your families and loved ones! Celebrate with those you love as if it were for the very last time…we just never know do we!

What a wonderful idea! One thing I really enjoyed one year for thanksgiving was making little leaves out of construction paper and having everyone write one thing they were thankful for that year. Then I hung them on a branch in a vase. It was neat; I am hoping to do something like that again.
