Thanksgiving is just days away, Sisters! Since this particular holiday, like no other on our annual calendar, centers almost entirely around a meal, it brings a whole passel of us to the kitchen. So, your friends here at Living Proof thought we would have some fun with you by wrapping up a few fabulous items for the family feast.
We have prepared two identical baskets, enabling us to do a random drawing of TWO WINNERS among the commenters to this post. That’s all you have to do to enter. Just leave one comment and on Thursday morning, we’ll close the comments and draw our two winners and announce their names at the top of this post.
The goodies from these baskets contain items from the two largest kitchen stores in Houston: Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. When it comes to cooking, it doesn’t get better than that. [You will see each item in a separate picture so you can get a good look at them.] I so hope the baskets end up in the hands of a couple of women who could really stand to feel a little extra-special right now or perhaps are on such a tight budget that these items would feel like a fantastic splurge. I’m looking today for entries of some women who’d slap the table with joy over ending up with these. You are all so loved and esteemed here at Living Proof and you are valuable beyond price or description to the Kingdom of Christ.
Thanks for bringing a smile to my face (and a giggle too). This inspired me to do the same thing for one of our precious Special Needs family in our church who just said good-bye to their dad who battled a brain tumor for 9 years and had his homecoming last week.
Those baskets are beautiful! I just got a cancer diagnosis and will start chemo the Monday before thanksgiving… Bummer. The basket would be a fun surprise

This is so beautiful! My favorite times with my family are spent in the kitchen. As long as I can remember (actually as long as we each have been old enough) my 2 brothers and I have helped my parents cook the holiday dinners. Everyone has their own “specialty” we always are in charge of making, and all year long we all keep our eyes open for recipes that put a new spin on a staple. On TG morning, we get an early start when my dad and I make the Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls, and this fuels the rest of our cooking while we watch the Macy’s parade. My youngest brother WAS my assistant… Until he became a teenager and didn’t want to get up! We’ve had a lot of seasons of tension/ friction between the various relationships over the years, as all families have, but there’s something about cooking in the kitchen- or sitting at the dining room, table that brings about a truce, for at least that time.

Hello Mrs. Beth – I came across this post on Facebook. I am not entering for myself as I am currently living in Uganda on the mission field. But I am entering on behalf of my mom. This will be the 3rd Thanksgiving in a row that I missed with her since my husband and I went into full time ministry. Don’t get me wrong, it’s truly an honor to be serving Jesus here but it does get difficult during the holidays. Would love to put a smile on my Moms face!
Ps – the missionary wives/moms of Kampala Uganda meet every Tuesday for one of your Bible studies. Currently doing Revelation. Thanks for feeding us the Word!

I would be thrilled to have this! My parents were in the process of moving last year and my sister was in the hospital with a new baby…I had a four month old and took on Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family! What a blessing ya’ll are in so many lives! You love Jesus and it shines out to all of us. Thank you! Thank you for loving our Lord so much and showing that love through sharing and teaching God’s truth and spreading His truth to the ends of the earth. My life, my heart has been forever changed because of Jesus love and forgiveness. And much of that is do to your blood, sweat and tears. Love ya’ll! This Thanksgiving will be the first Thanksgiving neither of our boys will be home. Our second son just moved down to Spring, Tx in April. Please, pray for him. He has had a very difficult transition. He’s been sick and had to have surgery. He is now waiting to hear back on more testing to see if they can find why he is having pain in his said. He needs to feel the love of God’s people around him and to meet some loving, friendly, caring people. My heart is breaking that he so far away and may be alone on Thanksgiving. We live 1013 miles apart. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. I am praying for you….as I type this. God Bless you ALL.
This festive Thanksgiving gift would serve as a special reminder of a road trip my oldest daughter and I took this summer from CO to Lubbock, Texas to meet friends & attend our first Living Proof Live event to experience Beth Moore in person!
