I AM SO PROUD OF YOU I COULD DO TEN CARTWHEELS!!!!!
LET YOURSELF FEEL THE HOLY NOD OF GOD THIS WONDERFUL DAY, MY BELOVED SISTER.
YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT HE ESTEEMS AS TREASURE BEYOND PRICE.
HE HAS LISTENED INTENTLY EVERY TIME YOU’VE SAID A VERSE OUT LOUD AND RECOGNIZED THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE WITH DEEP AFFECTION.
HE HAS BEHELD YOUR RADIANT FACE, DAUGHTER OF GOD, AND FOUND YOU SO LOVELY.
LET YOURSELF HEAR HIS COMMENDATION THIS DAY.
LET HIM SAY “WELL DONE” TO YOU.
Oh, Jesus was so worthy of all this work, wasn’t He, Sister???
You have been a stellar group and you’ve kept to the exact instructions with every single entry, limiting them to the verse alone. This time when you leave your verse, you get to leave a comment with it. Testify! Boast in the Lord! Tell us a specific way God used this year of Scripture memory in your priceless life.

God brought us through so many tough events where He protected our hearts and minds when I would’ve fallen apart if I’d been alone, without His presence and strength. We were evacuated from our home due to a forest fire, for three weeks (and all our critters too-pony, ducks, geese, goat, Border collie and two kitties- one later rescued) and then moved across the state for my husbands new job, which my sons (Michael 5, Stephen 9) and I were delayed for 5 weeks from joining him. We love our new location but it is always hard to be further from ones you love, even if closer to others. So many other things too this year, and still going on, but He is so faithful to go through it all with us and keep our hearts focused on Him. I am still working on a few of my verses, but they are in my little book and my heart as a blessed reminder of this year. His Blessings I pray for you all my sisters, Sandy

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
Isaiah 43:1 ESV
I have learned that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength, which was my first SSMT verse! This is the first year I have participated in the memory work; in years past when you all have done this I have skimmed that introductory blog and felt this was something I could never do. This year I felt the Lord say, “This is your year!!” Don’t get me wrong, I am still stumbling over some of my verses and their addresses, but I know more than I did before and I am so grateful to have more of God’s word in me then I ever have before! Let us continue to run this race in 2014, ladies!!

I can’t begin to share how often my scripture verses have come to mind during the past year, or how many times I’ve purposely called them up to encourage, inspire, strengthen, or simply remind myself who God is and what He has promised. Looking forward to continuing on in 2014!

The Word of God is the Truth and the sooner I can recognize the “lying thoughts” in my mind and replace them with the truth (i.e. the Scripts I’ve memorized), the more I can love God and my family! 2014 is the year for me to LIVE IN LOVE! Thanks for holding me accountable, Beth, LPM, and siestas!! Merry CHRISTmas to you all!!!

This year’s program continued to be an anchor for me. A few times during the year I lost track because of crises, but it was always there to come back to and get me grounded once again. Each year I do this, the verses are like my journal; they reflect my journey with my Lord. I love you Jesus.

I am still working on many verses but this scripture memory has enriched my life! In the past, I have often avoided scripture memory or at least not prioritized it. I really enjoyed this year and I want to keep on learning verses! There are so many great reminders of truth in my memory verses! Thanks for your help!!

Proverbs 9:11 (The Voice)
Lady Wisdom: Through me your days will be lengthened,
and years will be added to your life.
This has been an extravagant peace of heaven
amidst the steps of what seemingly seemed to be a waging hell upon earth. Like The Words
printed out upon this blog, our GOD has been faithful to
carry us through some very difficult times. Through all the tears,
screams, fears, and laughter HE would strengthen me as HE
would graciously fire up the scripture HE had birthed n my heart.
At times, when n all my flesh, I couldn’t recall anything (probably
the worst of times) He would lead me to this blog and I would sit
reading every scripture I could.
Thank you so much for opening your doors to everyone. Undeserving
of such privilege, but am humbled with a forever joyous spirit of gratitude.
Thank you Mrs. Beth and family of LPM for your leadership in the ministry of Christ Jesus.
Thank you to all of you.
“Thank You, Jesus.”
May God extravagantly bless each one of you and Merry Christmas to all.
“Fear not for I bring you good news of GREAT JOY that will be for all the people, Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ, the Lord” Luke 2:10-11
This year of memorizing scripture has equipped me to fight the devil when he places thoughts of being insufficant. My battlefield is my mind and I have filled it with scriptures, (weapons of war that the devil can not win against) this year. Praise the Lord. For with God ALL THINGS are possible. Thanks so much for encouraging me Beth. Thank you thank you! Merry Christmas to ALL of you dear sisters.

Luke 2:13-14
King James Version (KJV)
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…..”
(2 Chronicles 16:9a NIV)
Thank you so much for the accountability Siesta Sisters…… I wouldn’t have stuck to memorizing without you! God’s Word is truly POWERFUL. This has been a crazy and stressful year of change for me and my family. God knew I would need His Word in my head moment by moment this year to give me strength and encouragement…….and to smack down the Enemy when he wanted to mess with my head!!! I am so grateful ❤
Cindy, Beaumont TX: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

This project was a real challenge for me. I always thought I could not memorize scripture. Thanks to you, Beth, I now have the confidence that I really can memorize scripture, and I intend to continue memorizing. First I need to get these 24 scriptures down pat. Some of them have proved to be elusive. Many sermons at church have used one of the scriptures I memorized, and I was so excited that I could recite the scripture from memory rather than looking for it in my Bible. I love this group of Siestas! Because you give this blog a personal touch, including us, and challenging us, I have been truly blessed through this group of ladies. Thank you all!

You’ve been such a blessing to me this year! Merry Christmas!
Cindy, Rochester, MN (finishing up memorizing Psalm 145) verses 15-21 (will continue into 2014!) The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them. The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked. I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever. (NLT)
My comment: My prayer is that more and more people sing with joy of God’s righteousness, and bless His holy name forever and ever! He is most worthy of praise!

“Today in the twon of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Praise God! I have a great new Bible memory partner. God provides!

I’ve been walking with the Lord for over thirty years and have always encouraged my kids and Sunday school classes to memorize scripture. But, I considered myself a memorizing “loser”, unable to do it.
This year has taught me that with God, nothing is impossible. 24 verses! I’ve used them time and again to encourage others and myself. All glory to Him!
