Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Karen Baumgardner
I just finished Beth’s (and Melissa’s) Bible study on James. It was eye opening! Everyone should read this!
Sara Pasterski
The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer
The book i would give away is “Jesus Calling, Enjoying Peace in His Presence” By Sarah Young. I read a bit every morning as a devotional, and it speaks to me every day. I love you all!!!
A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken
Courtney Yantes
Oh it would be wonderful to receive this book. As a SUnday School teacher of adult women I need a lot of aids!!
There are so many books that have touched my Walk, it would be hard to decide. “Things Pondered” is always fun to give and the Frances Chan books are good too, Sooo many, hard to choose!
I would love an Atlas Bible…I would give this to my Dad whom I’m desperately trying to accept Jesus as his personal saviour. i’m probably too late on this but thought i’d try anyway. God Bless Beth and her ministry.
I would give away the devotional, ‘My Utmost for His Highest’ by Oswald Chambers. That book has been a definite game-changer in my walk with the Lord! =)
I would give the greatest book every written the Bible, to whom ever is hunger to receive the wonderful word of the Lord.
Connie Capps, North Carolina
The book I would give away first would be the Bible! I love reading and there are just so many wonderful books but I guess the one I would give away to someone would be
“Heaven is For Real” by Todd Burpo and also the James Bible Study by Beth Moore. Our ladies have just finished this study and it is life-changing!
In the Grip of Grace by Max Lucado. A dear man gave me the book when I was in serious need to know I still had God’s grace. Thanks for the fun giveaways!
Pamela Callahan
This atlas looks great. I would love to win it.
I would give away either Crazy Love by Francis Chan or One Thousand Gifts by Anne Voskamp. Or both!
Wow, this atlas looks so cool!
Wow! I would love, love, love an Atlas.
I’d give away ‘His Needs, Her Needs’ to every couple before they get married. It’s so full of great information and really puts things into perspective. I remember getting it several years into my marriage, and thinking ‘I wish someone had given this to me years ago!’
Oh, it’s so hard to choose just one, but after a good paragraph Bible I would have to choose Ablaze by Pam Gillaspie. It’s filled with great tips and ideas to get you into the word – it’s been a great help to me and encouraged me to pick up my Bible more and more this year.
~ Hannah Kosek
sarah birmingham, Lambertville, MI. I love books so much! I always think it is a perfect gift 🙂 Sometimes I think my friends might wish I preferred other things to give out. Other than the Bible….. I think the perfect book depends on the need of the individual. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful books to chose from. Having said all of that, yesterday I gave one of my great friends Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts, so I will say that one. I love these kind of questions because we can learn about other books we may have never known. Thank you 🙂
If I could give one book to anyone it would be the Bible as well as a Beth Moore Bible Study Guide for David to every woman I know. This study has blessed my life so much just as the many other studies I have done. God is so fairhful!
Lisa Krumm
The Shelter of God’s Promises by Sheila Walsh – like Breaking Free it was life changing.
If I could give away any book, I would choose first Breaking Free. But another book that has so impacted me this year is “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp. Such a powerful book. I would so love to win this book to help me as I lead Women’s Bible Study! Thanks for all you guys do to help us grow in our Faith Walk!!
My name is Rhonda Bilbro. I love so many of Beth’s books. She is my favorite author, of course. I would have to say my favorite is the Daniel study. It was my first and I fell in love and haven’t stopped wanting to study since.
I would give away “Facedown” by Matt Redmon. It has taught me so much about how to worship the One we serve or “God’s Guest List” – it is a book about the people God puts in your life for a reason. I would love that Bible Atlas. I am a visual leraner and that would help me out so much!!!
What a great giveaway:) Thanks so much:)
If I could give away one book, It would be “One thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp.
I can’t think of just one book I’d give away–but I know the one I use the most is the Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes. My daughter loves the pictures and we can look at the book for a long time.
Tabitha Bonilla Worsley
the one book i would give away to anyone and everyone (and i have) is Breaking Free by Beth Moore! it is such an awesome book and i and others that i know have recieved such freedom from Jesus in that book!!! i give them as birthday presents!!! best gift ever!
Oops!!! I have a typo in my name LOL!!! I corrected it 🙂
This is my first time on this blog and I’ve never done this before, but just the other day I gave the Book Breaking Free to my Daughter, that book struck me in every aspect of my life and has placed even a deeper want in my heart to know and love my Lord even more.
If I could give away one book it would be Financial Crown ministry book. So many people have been caught in the world’s view of “Keeping up with the Jone’s” and have really gotten in trouble, myself included. I have made it to the other side and it is such a great freedom. I wish that for more people.
Besides the Bible, I love the book “Psalms 91; Real-Life Stories of God’s Shield of Protection.” It is by Peggy Joyce Ruth and Angelia Ruth Schum. I have given this book to a soldier going to Afganistan. There is nothing better than to know God is able to protect us in all ways; spiritually, physically, and emotionally, if we stand on His Word.
My name is Linda Casmus and I would love to win the Atlas, thanks for the opportunity.
I would love this book!
Jennifer Weigt
April Holder – I think I’d give away Miss Suzy. 🙂
Hi my name is Kimberly Power. Yep, just like the Power Ranger : ) I was so excited to see this giveaway because I actually saw a bible atlas for the first time at Barnes and noble last night, and I thought how cool that would be. I’m a visual person, so seeing the places that things happened makes them more real to me.
If I could give away a book it would be “The Screwtape Letters,” not because it’s my favorite book to read, but because it speaks truth about the devils wicked ways. I can only read a little bit of that book at a time, because it’s so overwhelming. The things that C. S. Lewis suggest that demons think is terrifying and relieving.
I would LOVE to get a copy of the Atlas. What a great tool to use with a Bible Study, to actually see (through pictures) where events actually took place.
We would love to use this in teaching our children and also to use in teaching Sunday School.
I don’t know that I could pick just one!!! Probably so long insecurities!
Amanda Watson
I would give away The Good Life by Charles Colson.
The Bible – hands down. Other than that, for a Christian walk, The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. A close third would be The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. My Dad went to a class in his early life and, after I read the book, I saw the principles in how he lived. I already knew my Daddy was doing his best to live out Biblical principles. I have been very blessed with Christian parents.
Hmmm, my one book to give away would have to be, “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers. I believe I have read it myself upwards to about 10 times now. Definately something for everyone’s library:)
I would give away Beth’s “So Long Insecurity” simply because it helped me SO much! I’ve always been an avid reader, but this was the only book I’d ever read twice. It has been a blessing for me and I’d love it to be a blessing to someone else! 🙂
I would love to give a Bible to my husband, if he would read it!
Cindy Pettit
Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis
Love looking at atlases and imagining all the history that took place on the land. One of my favorite books to give away is “The Freedom of Simplicity” by Richard Foster. By the way, it is hot here in Ft. Myers, Florida where we are vacationing, and also hot – like summertime – back in our home of Michigan.
Gerry Crawford
The book I most like giving away is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. It is so helpful, no matter what the situation is, I have given this to many with cancer and they always tell me what a blessing it has been.
Many blessings to you. LP I love all of you. Mama Beth has blessed my life so much, and I still love the Believing God series that transformed my walk with Jesus.
I would give someone Jesus Calling or Daily Light.
Rebecca Coffee
Just one book??? Oh dear…..
I would give The Help to my book buddy Kaelin.
hhhm Favorite book to give away? My favorites are always those from Beth Moore and Sheila Walsh. You can’t go wrong with either. I also keep copies of Jesus Calling and Jesus Lives by Sarah Young around to give as gifts or thank you gifts to friends.
Kimberly Moore
I would give away, ‘The Story’ written by Randy Frazee and Max Lucado. A wonderful book for someone who has not read through the entire Bible or someone who’s read through it a thousand times. It’s written where the Bible reads like a story. And the best part is there are versions created for adults, teens, and young children to be able to read through and discuss as a family.
I’d like to be able to give a good study Bible to someone who needs a Bible. The other book I would give is the Jesus Calling devotional. It’s great.
Rhonda P. of Delmont, PA.
Circle Maker by Mark Batterson (cause I’m in the thick of it right now and it is rocking my prayer life – soooo good!)
Melissa Polanowski
I would give away Strong’s Exaustive Concordance of the Bible. I can’t imagine studying without it! Even my mobile apps have to have a Strong’s!!
Grace and peace to you from CT, where it too is a beautiful warm and sunny day – downright different from what our typical March days are like.
If I could give away ONE book, it would be The Holy Bible, THE WORD of God 🙂
