Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Ellen Ratcliff- I would give away a copy of Breaking Free!
First would be the Word of God. Second…hard to choose, it might be “Hinds feet on high places”.
One book that I absolutley love and do give away as much as I can….
One Thousand Gifts! by Ann Voskamp
Karen Edlund
My favorites to give away right now are “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young and “A Grace Disguised” by Sittser (about grieving losses).
Cindy Childers
Any “Straight to the Heart” Series by Phil Moore ( A Fabulous British writer). I read “Straight to the Heart of Acts and it was Amazing!!!!
You may laugh, but one of my favorite books to give away, especially to graduates in particular, is Dr. Seuss’ “Oh the Places You’ll Go”. That’s probably my favorite Dr. Seuss book. 🙂
I would give away one of two books. Fresh Wind Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala. Or the one I am currently in So Long Insecurity! Thanks for the awesome book Beth!
What an awesome book of maps. This would be a great teaching tool. To pick a book to give away is hard. If I had only one it would be the Bible. That is the one and only book ever written that contains everything we need for life. Many of Beth’s books hold a special part of my being – Breaking Free, So Long Insecurity, Praying God’s Word, and on.
Thank you for your generosity.
I love to win things! but, hten again, who doesn’t? I just read a FREE short story on my kindle called “Chop, Chop.” It made me laugh and then it made me cry. It was about teenagers going through life and growing together in the Lord. Anyway, it was a great book. And, since it’s free I would give it to everybody! 🙂
I would give away ‘A Little Pot of Oil’ by Jill Briscoe.
I would love the Holman Atlas to go with my Holman Bible. And I would love to give a Bible to a new believer.
Thanks,
Joan
Myra Smith
My very favorite book to give away, (and I’ve given several away), is Siesta Momma’s “Breaking Free” workbook. Besides the Bible, that Bible study totally changed my life. I had been through years of abuse. When I did that study, I was TOTALLY broken, and bound up to my EARS. God mercifully healed me and SET ME FREE for the first time in my life!!! I was 42 years old. PRAISE GOD, I HAVE NEVER BEEN THE SAME!!! Hallelujah!!!! Thank You Jesus!!
Linda Lundeen
Love 1000 Gifts / Great story of love, life and counting your blessings.
Thank-you for your generosity.
Wow! Tough call, Lindsee, but I’d have to say “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. He always speaks directly to the day through her writing.
This has been fun to read through the titles of books I’ve never heard of. Good summer reading ahead!
Beth Petty
I would give someone a Bible. The road map for life. 🙂
I would love to have this Atlas!
The book I would give away would be “The Hiding Place” by Corrie Ten Boom. It is such a testament to passion for others through God’s love.
Keri Jenkins
Ok, I know this is super old school, but I would give away This Present Darkness. I remember reading it as a teenager and it opened up my prayer life like nothing I’ve read since.
Dawn Sperry-I would give a Bible.
If I could give away any book today it would be Beth’s So Long Insecurity, (and I have given several away). This is such a helpful book and because it is a book I find that the late teens and 20 somethings really enjoy it.
Thank you for the book, Beth.
Rebecca Jamerson
i agree it would be tough to pick just one!! but if I had to pick, i would say Radical by David Platt.
I would give this to my husband who just gave his life to Christ this week! PRAISE GOD! I am so excited to see what God does with our life all for his glory!
HI Lindsee–
Thanks for the great give away. This atlas would be a blessing in my studies.
It is difficult to chose one favorite book. Many of my favorite books are already listed. A new favorite is HOW TO BE A HEALTHY CHURCH MEMBER by Thabiti M. Anyabwile (978-1-4335-0212-5). This book is only 127 pages long, but gives much to ponder and apply. It is also fun to discuss in Sunday School class.
Rhonda Green
I would give away “Believing God”. It changed my life.
I would give away Hannah Hurnard’s Hinds Feet on High Places. Such a delightful book!
Intimate Issues by Linda Dillow and Lorraine Pintus. Chaned my marriage! I gave a copy to a sweet lady as a wedding shower gift. I have 2 teenagers now, but when they get married I’ll be giving a copy of this book to my daughter and to my future daughter-in-law.
Robin Bleezarde
I would give away One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. I have already given it to my daughter and plan to give it to a friend.
Hideaway Community Church sanctuary and library burned to the ground on Mar. 20, after having been struck by lightning in a storm. Nothing could be saved. It would be wonderful to have Randy Alcorn’s Heaven to start all over again.
Hi! I just read this post this morning. I would really love one of the Bible Atlas’. I facilitate several studies and I try to give away whatever is mentioned in the study – whether it be biography or other book. I really enjoy giveaways!
Monique Dozer
I would choose to give away Crazy Love by Francs Chan. I think sometimes our feeble human minds have a hard time comprehending just how much Jesus loves us, Mr. Chan does a wonderful job of describing just how much we are loved by our Creator!
I absolutely love books and especially maps, they are very interesting to me. I know, I’m a nerd! ;). Much love to the LPM team!
Carol Morgan is my name and this Bible Atlas looks like a book I’d enjoy. I give away most books I read but most enjoy giving Bibles.
The one perfect book to give away is the Bible.
Mine was given away recently, kind of, it was stolen from
My vehicle when someone smashed the window out
Thinking it was a purse because of the leather case.
It had all the love notes through the years that Jesus gave
Me thru study, prayer and seeking solace.
I pray it will be a testimony to whoever reads it if it is ever found.
The other book I would give is “Woman Thou Art Loosed” by TD H
Jakes.
Hard choice but if only one book, I would give away Captivating, by Stasi Eldredge. Life-changing and freeing.
I LOVE books!!! My favorite book that I would love to give someone is One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voscamp!!!!! Life changing book!!! Love it!
Well, my name is Kelli Davis and I would give away a Life Application Study Bible if I had the opportunity. I think it is a great Bible for those learning and digging into the Bible.
Vanessa Abreut
There are too many books to pick from so I don’t know what I would give away right now. I do know that it would be something good!! 🙂
Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas – great book!
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Patty Wells
Karen Edwards. I’d give away my own book, “Introduction to the Bible, A Self Study Guide for Beginners.” Yes, that was a shameless plug! 🙂 Other than that, I’d give away any book by John Eldredge.
This is hard. Today I would give the book Jesus Calling to everyone who doesn’t have it. Tomorrow it could be something totally different.
I would love a Bible Atlas too.
Thank you and bless you all at Living Proof. You have taught me so much.
Elaine Beady
Michele Foster- I would give 1,000 gifts by Ann Voskamp, reminds me of friends I treasure that have given me the blessed gift of Godly friendships!!
1) Katie Simmons
3) My favorite book to give away is So Long Insecurity. It has really helped me to be a stronger woman of God, and I have shared it with a friend of mine who also struggled with insecurity!
I am excited about this give-away! Thank you!! 🙂
I love the small devotional “Jesus Calling”by Sarah Young!
Tammy Hursey
How do you choose one book? It would have to be the Bible – it has it all!
My favorite book to give away is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers!!
Tammie Worsham – If I could give away one book it would be Anne Graham Lotz’s updated version of Samuel Bagster’s “Daily Light” devotional.
I love the book “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. I have given so many copies out and I hope to give more!
Thanks for the giveaway and a chance to win. I am not sure what book I would give away but I look forward to reading all the comments and making a list of books for future reading.
I would love to receive the Holman Bible Atlas.
My choice of book to give away would be Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster.
Thank you, Cindy Gillis
Right now my give away book is “1000 Gifts” by Ann Voscamp. I’ve read it four times since January. I cried through the first reading, marked it up for the second, absorbed it for the third and took notes for the fourth so I could get read of all the page markers. Lest you think I’m obsessed, please know that I still do my daily bible study, but at this point in my life I need a “joy maintenance program” and the conscious effort to give thanks in all things has changed my life.–Darlene Chiasson
I really enjoyed reading “Heaven is for Real”. It was just a reminder of the wonderful things we will see when we get there, especially our wonderful Lord.
Linda McMorris
I would give away Jesus is Calling or any Max Lucado book.
I am currently doing Beth’s “James” study and it is fantastic!! Don’t know which I like better James or Esther.
Will pray Beth and Amanda’s conference is rocked by the Spirit and have a safe flight home.
