Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Cheryl Cannon – Concord, NC
If I could give away one book today I would give away, “Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard” … simply because I love the beauty of redemption in the story of “much afraid’s” difficult but joyous journey and her transformation into “Grace and Glory”.
Hey Cheryl!
I love that book also.

Hi Ladies!
Great idea!!! I love books! Feeling them in my hands. Marking
Them up with hi-liters!
My absolute favorite, inspirationAl book to date is…..
One Thousand Gifts By Ann Voskamp
Crossing my fingers.
If I could give away any book it would be the Jesus Calling daily devotional by Sarah Young. I love the simplicity of reading any daily devotional. Yet this one is special because of the depth of intimacy and love any heart can quicken to by hearing the tender voice of
Christ speaking right to them
.
Besides God Word it would be Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World. It really changed my life during a very trying time.
Erin Breth Such a great give away! Thank you for that! My favorite book that I would give is ”Follow My Leader” Always looking for new books for information and guidance.
My most recent read has been A Prayer to our Father: Hebrew Origins of the Lord’s Prayer. I highly recommend. And would love to have in my hands the Bible Atlas.
Susan Jobe
Besides the Bible, I’d love to give away Beth’s “Praying God’s Word – Day by Day”.
If I could give a book to someone, I would give them “The Hiding Place”. It is a book about Corrie ten Boom, an amazing evangelist who survived Hitler’s concentration camps. Her faith is jaw-dropping.
The one book I would give away is Heaven Is For Real. This is a captivating book of hope. I must say though if I had a Holman Bible Atlas I would be compelled to give it to my friend Sabrina. She is an amazing women who loves to study the bible. She shares her knowledge of scripture in such a loving way with those around her! (Big smile). I am not kidding when I say,to her, getting a Holman Bible Atlas would be way better than the best deal on an amazing pair of shoes!(Laughing out Loud!!!)
I would give away the Bible! The latest book I gave away was “7” by Jen Hatmaker. Stacy Buckley
I love books. My very favorite one to give away right now is Sarah Young’s “Jesus Calling”. It is a wonderful devotional book written as if God is talking straight to you. Speaks to me every morning.
Tiffany Anderson

If I could give away one book, other than the Bible, it would be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.
Thanks!
Giving a book to someone would certainly depend on the circumstances, but one at the top of my list would be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.
Meggie Kornelsen
I just gave away my favorite Bible last week to a sweet sister. If God had not been so bossy about this, I probably wouldn’t have done it. But he insisted. And it was so fun to see her face light up when she received it. But books are my go to give-away all the time.
I have given Believing God out and recommended it many times. I believe everyone should do the Believing God study – Christian or Non-Christian. If we would only Believe Him what a difference it would make in our lives and our world! I also love and recommend often, What Do I Know About My God? by Mardi Collier.
Angela Young
Jane Munoz
Traveling Light by Max Lucado
Karen Goodwin
Would love to win!!
I would give away Redeeming Love…every time.
Diane Willson
I would give “The Circle Maker” because it really opens your eyes to how big and holy God is and it makes you want to dream big for His kingdom!
Laura Harris
I would so love to win one!
Just a few months ago, I gave my sister-in-law, “The Love Dare” by Alex & Stephen Kendrick (Fireproof Your Marriage.) My brother and his wife are in a difficult place right now in their marriage. I was in a bookstore one day and the Holy Spirit took me right to it. I knew I had to send it. Lucy Elias
I had a “Smile out loud” moment as I read your post becauseI have printed 2 of Beth’s blog posts that I occasionally look at, and her post about the Holman Bible Atlas is one one of them. If I were giving a book to women, it would probably be “Simple Abundance” by Sarah Ban Breathnach. THe book is not a christian publication, but it speaks about the beauty and blessings all around us if we have eyes to see, and encourages us to join in the celebration of life. (I have given this to most of my close women friends–love it!)
I gave away 1000 Gifts this Christmas to my 2 girls. I would give to every woman if I could!
I would so love to be able to add this Holman Bible Atlas to my Bible study aids! I have taught our ladies Sunday school class (small church…only one class for all the ladies) for the past 7 years and am always looking for ways to improve my lessons.
I can’t pick one book that I would give away I don’t think because so many have touches and impacted my life through the years! One of my favorites though is “The Hiding Place” about the life of Corrie ten Boom. She was a great influence in my life as a young wife and mother many years ago.
May God continue to bless LPM for all y’all do!
Marilyn…in Mississippi
I would give away my “Daily Light” devotional. It’s nothing but Scripture to be read day/night, just to give someone a taste of how wonderful His Word is.
I would give away “The Shack” for a non-fiction read and “Sacred Marriage,” for those who are engaged or already married. Both are great books! 🙂
There are so many but I think a copy of the Bible would have to be my first choice, then, if I could do a second one it would be “Heaven is for Real”.
Wow, that is generous! I don’t think I’d give this one away! Although, I might share it with my family. If I were to give another book away though, I’d probably give ‘Redeeming Love’to some of my girlfriends – loved that one!
I love to read and there are many books that I have given away to both friends and acquaintances. The book I have given away to the most people has been Josh McDowell’s “More than a Carpenter”. It is a easily understood apologetic tool and a great witness for Christ. I love seeing the suggestions and choices of the others on this blog!
I would have to say the Bible, because it is the one book to meet all your needs.
I would give away The Help!
Would LOVE to win the Bible Atlas!!
The most recent book I have given away to a friend is called “Get Married” by Candace Watters. Such an encouraging, biblical perspective for singles. Loved it. I am excited about the biblical atlas. It would be a great addition to my Christian school classroom. I just may have to buy one even if I don’t win!
Jill Whitmore
I would give a Bible …
🙂
I would love that Atlas!! If I gave away one book right now it would be Jesus Calling by Sarah Young!
Thank you!!!!
So many great books to choose from…. but I’m currently hooked on anything by Terri Blackstock (great Chrisitian fiction author)
Having read many books that are great it is a hard choice. I think a lot depends on the person I’m giving it to. It would probably be a devotional such as “Moments with God” by David Jeremiah or “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. Something that actually speaks to the heart of the reader.
Paulette Carson
Would give away REES HOWELLS, INTERCESSOR by Norman Grubb.
Have given many away over the years. Best book other than Bible!! :o)
I confess I hope I win an Atlas. I have sooooo been wanting one. Hope that doesn’t sound too whiny. :o) Congrats in advance to the ladies who win. Blessings to the Siestas today!
Oh, how I would love to win that Bible Atlas! This big nerd can’t get enough maps to suit her.
Twila Baker
I love giving away the devotional “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. I love it so much that I keep a supply in my car for whoever God directs me to share with. I also post it every morning on my Facebook page. Awesome!

Other than the Bible, I would give away Jesus Calling, a devotional by Sarah Young.
Thanks for all your hard work for LPM and the Blog, Lindsee!
Hi Beth,
If I had a favorite book to give away it would of course be my Bible! I have a new Bible that my husband bought me a few months ago in our church bookstore and I love it. It is The Woman’s Study Bible by Thomas Nelson. Love it, did I say that? I would also love to win the giveaway to help in my Bible studies. I am also looking forward to seeing you next month at Gateway church. See you there! Blessings and love – Linda
I would give away “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers. It has got to be one of the BEST books ever written!!! So powerful!!
I have too many to name just one:)
Evonne Aeilts Lincoln, IL
I just finished the James bible study and it was amazing, I would definitely pass that on! I also am giving away Bibles for Easter to loved ones.
I would love this atlas, Thank you!!
Over a year ago a young native mamma asked me if I could get her a Bible. I purchased a woman’s devotional Bible for her the next week but have not seen her since. I’m still waiting to give her that Bible and I trust that somehow God will put her in my path once again. 🙂
I would give away “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers. I could read it over and over again and never get tired of that story of unconditional love!
Hmmm…I love to read..today it would be Choosing to See by Mary Beth Chapman. I’m a readaholic! And, this was one Awesome book!
