Hey, Darling Things!
I am under the books, studying for our Living Proof Live in Baltimore, MD this weekend. (And if you’re going, I can’t wait to see you and to see what God has a mind to show us. The rest of you please pray for us and we will be the far better for your intercession.) I came to a point in my preparation that I needed to look up a map and my heart did this ridiculous little jump. Why? Because I was about to reach for my Bible atlas…and I love my Bible atlas. I could honestly use it for a coffee table book and thumb through it every afternoon while I drink hot tea and have a Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookie. (Of course, I’m hardly ever at my coffee table in the afternoon, nor do I often get to just sit and drink hot tea and eat cookies, but IF I DID, and if I had neither daughter to amuse me, I’d do all of those things with my Bible atlas.) I don’t know how to explain it. I just love it.
Here it is. I’m smiling as I look at it.
I love things like maps and charts. They bring some organization to the chaotic mind of BTSPTB.
Random, huh? Well, that’s when I thought of you. I thought it would be fun to hear you complete this sentence today:
I know this is so random but I love…
What, Girlfriend? What random, not-hyper-serious thing do you love that maybe a ton of people wouldn’t necessarily love with you? Do tell!
coffee nips, the smell of my husband’s shoulder when he hugs me in the morning, debates with my middle son and silliness with my oldest and helping others with my youngest, the smell of fresh mowed grass, fires in a real fireplace, the first cool fall days, ironing, driving around, Christmas lights…oh, I could go on..Thanks Beth, Fun
You seriously like ironing? I hate it! Avoid it like the plague! You can come iron my families clothes anytime you like! I’ll leave the door unlocked!!!!
I love sitting on the roof at night gazing at the night sky!
I know this is so random, but…I love the smell of a new car, the smell of fall (burning leaves, fresh air), the smell of a baby (guess I’m into smells!), the sight of my two adult (19 and 22) sons and my husband playing Scrabble together, my husbands’ arm around me as we sit in church, and…ad infinitum! So many things God created to love ;D
Oh, my goodness so many things! But I LOVE nail polish! My daughters were just shopping with me this last weekend, and observed my obsessiveness! I always made a bee line for the nail polish section! My daughter Angela, walked into one store and immediately said, “Oh, no. Distract mom!” It was TOO LATE! They were having a NAIL POLISH sale and they had every imaginable color! I thought I had died and gone to nail polish HEAVEN! I’ve never seen so many shades in all of my life! They were sure we were going to end up spending the night in the store! I didn’t buy any, because I wanted them ALL! I don’t know why I like nail polish! I hardly ever wear it in public, but I love to do my nails! I’m terrible at doing them and my nails are hideous, since I have this nervous habit of picking at them. I used to bite them. I’m not sure why I stopped. Must of got tired of the bleeding. Seriously, yes, I would bite my nails until they would bleed! I have way more nail polish than any woman should own anyway!
I just love riding in the car on a fall day with the sun shining through the colorful leaves.
Morning! So…ever since I read this post I’ve been wracking my brain to think of something. Knowing how quirky I am, there HAD to be something strange I loved. Nothing for days. Then yesterday it hit me! Pens. I have a certain kind of pen that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I am obsessed with it. I use them for work, for Bible study, for list-making, doodling, everything. The problem is, I got them as a company (Clark Nuber) promo item so I have no idea where to find them in the real world and I only have two left! (They let me take a handful once I told them how great they were to write with.) That being said, I am aware of their whereabouts at all times. I think they’re some type of Pilot brand but once they die, I may have to pay a visit to their offices…
I know this is so random but, I love the smell of wood crackling in a fireplace, the colors of fall, the cool crisp October air in NC and last but certainly not least, the taste of a good cup of coffee in the early morning hours!

I know this is so random, but I love the smell of bread, noisette coffee, musty books, fresh air….love it when I feel God’s presence surround me and catching my family member’s faces when something makes them smile.
The smell of bookstores most especially thumbing the pages of a new book just for th smell!
I know this is so random, but I love the split-second moment of anticipation just before the worship team plays the first note and begins to sing.
inexpensive pretty watches. I probably have a dozen of them and only three have a working battery right now. Since I am only willing to pay $10-12 for one, I guess they should be disposable because it costs about $10 for a new battery. But I just can’t part with them if they are very pretty. The thing is, as I age, I cannot see the time on some of them with dark faces or small numbers, but I like the watch anyway, even though I cannot tell the time on some of them. LOL
Psalms112:4
Even in darkness, light dawns for the upright.

Roxie, Jerseyville, Psalm 46:1-3 NIV
“God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it’s waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need. NASB
