Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I’m not sure what I’d give away…
I would give away the book Heaven is for Real. It is great for all ages!
The one book that I would give away (besides the Bible 🙂 is “Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. In fact, I have given her devotional to many people and recommend it. It is as if Jesus is talking to you,, personally, and knows exactly what you are going through. Thanks so much for all of your Bible studies and this blog. Love it! Blessings on your day! You are loved!
My favorite book to give away right now is iChoose2 Love My Life! by Kelly Gore and the iBloom team.
Lisa Wight, St. George, Maine
I’d give away a Bible! I love to match up the “perfect Bible” (translation, cover, pictures, features, etc.) with just the right person.
Christina Sears
The book I’d give away to anyone besides the bible is Breaking Free. What a great book that is applicable to all walks of life.
I would give away Praying God’s Word by Beth Moore. This book has opened my eyes.
So fun! I am an avid reader, so am always up for a book conversation. The devotional “Jesus Calling” was given to me as a gift and I have in turn given it to others too. In fiction, I have read and reread the “Yada Yada Prayer Group” series. The characters are so real that they feel like your friends by the end.
Every female of any age should read “Do You Think I’m Beautiful: The Question Every Woman Asks” by Angela Thomas to help them understand God’s definition of “beautiful!”
Sara Heppermann
The Bible
Besides the Bible, (I’m assuming that’s a given!) I would give away Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers – amazing story of God’s love for us told via an old west version of the book of Hosea. Did I say it was amazing? 🙂
Would probably give a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird.
I would give away Breaking Free. I have so many friends who went through the study with me and they love it. It has made such a difference in my life and others!!
Kelly Cotter, Austin, TX
I’d give away “The Traveller’s Gift” by Andy Andrews. Such an awesome read for all ages!
I guess it would have to be the Bible…the living, breathing word of God that never ceases to amaze me with its application to my life…even verses I’ve read before will sometimes hit me over the head in ways it never had before.
I would love to win this book! I love learning about the places the Bible refers to as much as learning the Bible.
If I could give away one book it would be: Same kind of Different as Me
Love and prays to all.
I would give away one of Beth’s Bible DVD studies. I would love to have set so I could use it for a home group for some neighbors and friends who can’t go to a church study. Maybe her latest one, James. I have friends who are in cancer treatments & can’t be around large groups. Thank you!
I would give away “Where to Find it in the Bible” It’s a great reference tool.
The one book I would give away would be the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Especially in my college years thie book was such a guide for me. Thanks for the great blessing!!!
Hello LPM,
I would/have given to a few of my prayer sisters the book by Ann Voskamp;
One Thousand Gifts: A dare to live fully right where you are.
One of Ann’s blog posts let all of those that purchased the book know that as a result of this book we received the blessing of helping poor into the Lords bigger plan. It is HIS way to unite us a give us such gracious opportunity to be a part of His plan. I love Him so!
Thanks for the opportunity to throw my hat into this ring!
Blessings,
Celeste Hill
The book I’d like to give away is always the latest good book I’ve read. I read a lot of books for my job and and am always recommending them. Two I’ve been recommending lately are Paul Miller’s “A Praying Life” and Kyle Idleman’s “Not A Fan.”
Jessica Robinson

I have found myself giving out “A Jewel In His Crown” by the very on Priscilla Shirer. I found this book when I was going through a time where I thought the world was going to end. My boyfriend of all throughout my college career up and decided it wasn’t me he wanted anymore. Needless to say the world didn’t end and God brought me a wonderfully and amazing husband that I am forever more thankful for. However this book brought me back to reality, reminding me that no matter what God still loved me and I am deemed royalty because my father is the King of all Kings. 🙂 Now, I know God loved him too, but I have to admit thinking of myself as a princess with fabulous attire and a little crown made it a lot easier to determine it was the ex’s lost. LOL….
Kimberly Cumby, (ID)there are so many books I’d like to give away. but as I am looking forward to Secret Church Simulcast with David Platt I think I’d give out RADICAL by David Platt.what a great challening book for our present days.
Heather Worrell, I’m a bookworm, so thinking of just one book won’t work for me. I pass on many. One I’m reading now that’s quite interesting is Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus.
Wendi McPike from Maine!
Beyond my obvious and first choice of a Bible, there are too many other books come to mind. My top two today, off the top of my head, would be the “Secret Garden”- I think it is just a great story, for most ages, with a great message of hope and new life, or Og Mandino’s “Twelfth Angel”. There are so many great books out there. If I picked one, today, I think it would be Og Mandino’s. Now I need to go see what books others would give! Love this!
Thank you for the gifts you give us, beyond the give-a-ways!
I love my World Atlas and have warn pages on the map section of my Bible. I would love one of these. I think I would give someone one of Beth’s books…just don’t know which one…guess it would depend on what I thought the person needed. 😉
I would give away MY Bible, with all its markings, highlighting, etc. Just gifted my daughter with mine…now on to marking up another!
I enjoy giving away Jesus Calling.
Linda Runnels Evans, GA
my give away “One Thousand Gifts” Anne Voskamp
Jodi Carosone from Iowa says:
I’d give away “Heaven Is For Real”. I just LOVE it! 🙂
1) Victoria Milam, Greenbrier AR
2) This is my first and only comment to this giveaway post 🙂
3) If I could give away one book to anyone, I think it would be “I Will Carry You” by Angie Smith and I would give it to my friend April. I LOVED that book and cried through almost every single page!
4) This comment enters me to win the Bible Atlas and that just makes my day! Thanks for the opportunity!
Have a super blessed day ladies!!!
Love my NIV/Message Bible and think it would be a good give away. Of any of Beth’s Bible studies of course!
My name is Mary Hughes. I would give the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus!!!!!
Theresa Ebrey
I’d give Love You Forever to all expectant moms. Was read to me in Lamaze class 21 years ago when I was expecting my baby boy. It still brings a tear to my eye. I have the Hallmark recordable version to give to him when he is expecting his first child. I know I will cry again then. I’m such a marshmallow about my kids.
I wish I could give this book to every woman I meet, “Calm My Anxious Heart” by Linda Dillow. It is well written and full of practical application for all anxiety-prone women.
Jessica Klepac would absolutely love a Bible Atlas. I have been reading A Lineage of grace and Sons of encouragement by Francine Rivers lately. She has been able to make these bible characters come alive in fictional stories! Having the atlas would only further my knowledge and love for the history of where we came from!
Ah this is hard! I have 2 books that I can’t live without! I would (and have) given away So Long Insecurity, read it several times and led a group. And I’d also give away Redeeming Love, my all time favorite Christian fiction.
Thanks for this fun give away post! Love keeping up with all of you! xoxo
Hi
Liz Hinze
I guess the book I’ve been enjoying for the second year is Jesus Calling
I am not sure what I would give away, I am the person that is always asking others for a good read/book advice!
When I was a young mother, someone at church gave me a Children’s Bible to read to my young sons. Today, I love to give away Children’s Bibles to young families.
Andrea Lehman
The book that I would give to someone is ‘Jesus Calling’ by Sarah Young. Great for all in all stages of life!!
Spring has officially sprung in central Illinois!Everything is blooming (especially my allergies) and I am enjoying the beauty of God’s creation even in my own small yard. Being an official “Maphead”, I have looked at this atlas at the bookstore and have thought of adding it to my collection. I know that those that win it will greatly appreciate it. Now about books…for a child, a colorful, pictorial children’s Bible. Also “The Boxcar Children”, by Gertrude D. Warner, and “A Wrinkle in Time”, by Madeleine L’Engle. For an adult, of course, the Bible, and anything by our very own Siesta Mama! Now, I’m off to prevent the cat from further destroying the house. The spray bottle method is just not too effective. Has anyone tried a Super Soaker?
If I had to give any books away, they would have to be my big books, like “The Boy who loved dumplings” and “Yellow boots” but only to my granddaughters, Ariel and Jazmine. Even though I love reading these books, over and over to them, I would part with them, knowing that they love them as much as I do. The joy that reading these books to my granddaughters bring me, would or could only be matched by the fact that I would be giving them to these little girls who truly would continue to enjoy them.
Sheila Carey , Newport, TN
My favorite book to give is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.
Donise Hall
Really hard to choose what I would give away but the book that has impacted my life most recently is Dannah Gresh’s “what are you waiting for? The One Thing No One Ever Tells You About Sex.” And yes I am not the target audience….been married for 13 years and have 3 kids but wow!
Besides the Bible I would give away the book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”…I recently read that and was so inspired by the characters in the book. Their courage and faith was amazing. It challenged me!
Angela Rouse. I love to read and just read the book “7” by Jen Hatmaker which challenged me in so many ways!! Definitely the book I would give away.
Night by Elie Wiesel
Besides the Bible and Feather From My Nest by Beth, this is the book that just sticks with me. The person is a survivor!!
My name is Mary Saul
I love books. The smell and the feel of a brand new book, but nothing is better than the touch of a brand new study Bible. They have so many neat covers for them now also. So I would give a study Bible.
Man so MANY books but if I had to chose one non-fiction and one fiction (I just can’t chose one), It would have to be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers for fiction. If you have a broken past at all it is a MUST read and get ready to bawl through most of it! Wow, we truly are beloved to Him. Non-Fiction would probably be Same Kind of Different as me or Hole in Our Gospel (okay that’s 3). Both amazing books about reaching this world for Christ!!
Misty Ansted
Dawn Hendrixson
Breaking Free is the book I would give to someone because it is a great book to have.
