Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I can’t pick just one. I give away Sarah Young’s book Jesus Calling, but I recommend Townsend and Cloud’s book, Boundaries all the time. 🙂
If i could give one book away to someone it would be Sheperding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp. I’m a mommy of two beautiful girls (3 and 10 months) and this is the book that I am currently reading (again)! It’s great!
Ashley Carter
WOW, unlike Beth I am not a reader, but I work hard at it because I need what is out there! I would have to say not really a book but the Beth’s study on Esther was some of my best reading material in awhile!
This would be such a fun resource to share with my children! My oldest would especially love it!
Crazy Love is one book I’ve given to everyone in my family and my two best friends have also gotten Jesus Calling. Those two have definitely changed my life!
OMG as the kids would say, I hardly know which book to choose. Yes I do..it would have to be Me and My Big Mouth by Joyce Meyer. As the mother of 4 kids ages 12 to 17 this book has changed my life. I qoute “Is your mouth busy telling about all the troubles in your life? Does it seem as if it has a mind of its own? Put your mouth on a crash course to victory. You can take hold of the words you speak and make them work for you!” Ladies this REALLY WORKS! Especially when counting to 10 doesnt cut it.
And if that book is not enough try her book titled “Battlefield of the Mind”..Did you know that just because a thought comes into your mind, you don’t have to entertain it, but can actually kick it out and say..not today buddy..I am not thinking like that today!
No fair Beth..for us voracious readers choosing just one book or even 2 is just not that easy!
Darlene Caughron

A Shepherd Looks at the 23rd Psalm
It really brings home what God does as He cares for us.

Hi Girls,
I guess the one book I would want to give away would be the Bible….but not just any Bible, but one that is all marked up with things underlined and highlighted and footnotes. I would give it to anyone that God laid on my heart to give it to. (probably with some sadness for my loss) My husband has a bible from his grandmother like that. Although, I never had the opportunity to get to know her well, I feel so connected to her as I read her bible.
If giving away a novel it would be ‘The Debt’ by Angela Hunt…a very moving story of redemption.
Annette Peterson
I would give away the Bible. But if that were not an option, I would give a book by Colleen Coble. All of her books are good.
I think the book I would give away right now is 7. An Experimental Mutiny against Excess. Thought provoking and convicting!!!
Julie Elrod–If I could give away (and have given this book:-) one book (that is hard to narrow it down to one b/c I love books), it would be “The Resolution for Women” by Priscilla Shirer. It is rockin’ my world!
Ruth Duerrmeier from Geneva, Switzerland..
If I could give away one book, right now it would have to be “The Jesus Storybook Bible” – I’m reading it to our son but have given it away to so many others, adults and children.. a wonderful tool to get a glimpse at the heart of God, especially for new Christians.
Tara Hollingsworth
Oh my sweet savior in heaven how awesome, awesome that THIS book is the next give-a-way!!! I’ve had this book (every since that delightful blog post) on my Amazon wish list!!!
If I could give a way one book to someone it would be the book CAPTIVATING: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul by John Eldredge. This book is truly, truly beautiful & life changing!!
I would give away Pride and Prejudice…just because it’s a classic fave!
I am mother of 4 adult children…a couple of weeks ago 3 of the 4 children were all home visiting. As I walked in the house there were all these shoes taken off at the front door and I just smiled realizing our house was full of love and we would spend the next few days laughing, joking, eating, and reconnecting. At that moment I realized the blessings that God has given me over the years. The hard times was a road to the moment that shoes piled up at the door would make me smile and realize how much God loves me!!
Oh Beth, you are such an inspiration and encouragement. Thank you for modeling such generosity in every area of your life. Your entire ministry team is amazing. If I could give a book away, it would definitely be the Bible, along with a Bible study book of yours. Seeing God at work through His word makes such a difference in everyone’s life. Winning that atlas would be exciting too. Just another way to see the Bible in action. Blessings to you all! Kris

I love my family, 87 year old mom, 64 year old handicap sister. Both moved in with me last October, and never been happier.
Every morning I have coffee with my mom. She always has her bible open and is so excited to tell me something she found out in God’s word. Her Bible is worn, as well as the maps. I hope to win the Bible Atlas for her.
Thank you for your ministries.
I would have to say my Bible.
