Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I believe I would give away one of my Bibles. I think that is a like a no brainer, but that isn’t how I tho’t of it. If it is the only thing I can give to someone, I would want to give them JESUS, and giving them HIS words is the best I can give.
This is fun!!!! The book that I have given away on a few occasions is Sarah Young’s JESUS CALLING: ENJOYING PEACE IN HIS PRESENCE. This past October I gave a copy to my BFF Pam for her birthday. In November, David, my husband of almost 30 years, won his 7 year battle against his cancers by going Home to be with Jesus where he is now whole, healthy, and happy. Anyway, as I had not yet bought myself a copy of JESUS CALLING, Pam gave me a copy a couple of days after David’s passing. Every morning since then, I have begun my day with my Bible, JESUS CALLING, and a good cup of coffee! What a blessing to have such guidance and encouragement daily as I seek God and His plans for me in my “new life.” — Susan Wilson
I would give away (and I already have- for a Bible study friend’s birthday) The Journey by Billy Graham.
I love this book because it is written in a simple, straight forward style. This book presents the basic gospel truths of the Bible. A great read for seekers, new believers and mature believers.
The Greatest Thing in the World by Henry Drummond
Heather Kudla
A book to give away – well, that would have to be “One Thousand Gifts,” by Ann Voskamp. God’s used it in my life. I actually gave a copy to my best friend for Christmas, and it’s been changing her too!
Thanks for these fun giveaways!
God bless
Chantel Stevenson: I would and plan to give away a Bible. Thanks for the opportunity to win an Atlas! I am visual and enjoy maps!!
God bless!
Chrissy Myal
Oh how I would be so thankful to get this Atlas! If I could figure out how to spend all day every day reading and studying- I WOULD!
Of course, the right answer is the Bible! Always! Smile 🙂 However, I have read Francine Rivers’ Mark of the Lion series over and over. They are set in ancient Rome when Christians were persecuted for their faith after the fall of Jerusalem and it is profound and inspiring, albeit a work of fiction.
Thank you for even the opportunity to win this wonderful atlas!
Chrissy 🙂
Hi, Lindsee! Thanks for thinking of us for the giveaways 🙂 The book that first came to mind to give away would be the Bible–the greatest story ever told! But, if it had to be something other than that, I would say, Beth’s “James–Mercy Triumphs” (just finished it Monday. Absolutely, without a doubt, life-changing!Thanks, Beth and Melissa!) or Ann Graham Lotz’s “My Jesus is Everything” Hmmm…that was two books. It’s hard to pick just one!
Betty McBroom — I’d give away the Bible, there are so many assorted versions, even a comic Bible for kiddies. Did that last week on a trip 2,000 miles from home
So many books to choose from. Probably “Heaven is or Real” or “The Shack.”
I would give a Bible.
Cindy Cannon
Heaven is for Real or 90 Minutes in Heaven
These are both easy quick reads, but eye openers.
This is fun!
I would give away The Jesus Storybook Bible to anyone who would share it with a kid! Actually, I’d give it to anyone, I love the beautifully written Bible stories!
Hey!!!
Whoo Hoo another give a way 🙂
I would give away The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom-
Have a great night and thanks so much-
Steph
This is fun! And I don’t have a bible atlas. I think it could be something my husband and I share in. And the book I would give away…..Heaven is for Real. This book made me comfortable with dying, my humanity and humanity of those I love, and sadly to say that this is what it took but freedom to truly love others. Just an amazing modern-day miracle. Thanks for your love LPM!!
I would give away Heaven is for Real– hopefully to encourage a non-believer
I think the bible atlas is so very cool because there is no way you cannot learn more! If sounds like a great format! If I could share one book it would be the pamphlet, finding the words to say when you don’t know what to say. I bought these at Christmas along with cards for all occasions so I would not be without when someone I care about needs to hear words of encouragement, love and support with a spiritual reference. They are all quite nice!
If I could give away one book to someone it would be “Learn the Bible in 24 Hours” by Chuck Missler. It does such a great job at connecting the whole book together – it really gave me a new LOVE for God’s word!
Jesus Calling is a wonderful gift! I’ve given it out often and everyone just loves it!
The book that I would give away that means a lot to me is “Tramp for the Lord” by Corrie Ten Boom. This book is very inspiring of the remarkable evangelist that Corrie Ten Boom was even in the after-math of her being in Hitler’s Concentration camp. Miracles do happen and this story tells of the miracle that Corrie Ten Boom received from our Most High God!
Andrie Baker
Andrea Porter
Random thing I love, twist ties from the grocery store or from large garbage bags. I hoard them. I have a ziplock sandwich bag stuffed full of the little green paper with the thin wire, that you use to close bags of fruits or vegetables at the grocery store. Love ’em 🙂
One book I would give away. Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mocking Bird’. I don’t always re-read a book, but this particular book, I have read countless times since I was first introduced to it in High School english class, my sophomore year. Still brings tears to my eyes every time I read the story.
I can’t pick just one book…I think I would give away…Heaven Is For Real or Jesus Calling, or Not A Fan…all have made a pretty big impact on my life!
Shanon Best
This is so kind! I had no idea you guys did things like this so often! I SOOOOOOO want me a Bible atlas! We home school and that is one thing we haven’t added to our shelves yet! How sad is that?:-)What book would I give away?….Hmmm…..probably the book of James all by itself to anyone willing to read it. It is changing my life….
Janet Lescalleet
1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp to someone who feels overwhelmed and needs to learn how to slow down and thank God for each moment.
I would give away God’s Word.
I would give away Joanna Weaver’s book…having a Mary spirit in a Martha world!
Juliana Pickford – I would give away my marked up Bible to a new Christian woman. Initially she may be fearful, as I have the hand writing of a serial killer, but eventually she would begin to decipher my notes and hopefully be inspired by the Word of God!
I agree with so many of the suggestions ive read. But i’ll pick Sacred Marraige.
I would love to win this book. :o)
If I could give any book away, I would give “A Praying Life” away by Paul Miller. Life changing!
I would LOVE to have a whole library full of books just like this:) I’ll work on that when my babies go to school I suppose! I just finished the James study. AWESOME.
If I could give one book to somebody it would be a dear person I know who is struggling with depression and the book would be “Get Out of That Pit” by a certain blog mama.
Problem is, I haven’t felt the right way to bring this tender topic up. So I”m kind of just waiting on it.
Have a good day!
Angel Varney
The book I have been buying to give away this year is One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Her writing is lovely, the book is beautiful and points us toward the giver of all good gifts.
I would give away the ‘Jesus calling’ devotional book. It was given to me by a friend and has been such blessing.
Rachel Dugger
Thanks for this fun give-away opportunity! I think I would give away A Severe Mercy. It’s the best book I’ve read in a long time.
Jesus Calling
Heidi Bennett
Too hard to choose- I love books!
Tiffany Barker
The one book I would give away would be “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp, it’s so good!
Kelli Smith
Jennifer Swift
I would give away Esther as well, God used it to bring such healing to my life from a choice I made over 20 years ago. Now I am able to help others who have made the same choice or try to keep them from it.
Beauty for ashes…
Ten years ago, when God first used Breaking Free to “bring me out so that He could bring me in”, I actually began what I jokingly called my “Book of the Trunk Club”. I would purchase additional copies of whatever book or CD God was using to speak to me at the time, keep them in the trunk of my car, and give them away to friends, family, and anyone else who would stand still long enough for me to gush about my latest treasure. Once, I gave a copy of the new Lakewood Live worship CD to a woman at the checkout register at Lifeway Christian Store. Praying God’s Word was definitely a favorite selection, so was The Purpose Driven Life, The Power of a Praying Wife, The Power of a Praying Woman, Come Away My Beloved, and several different translations of the Bible. I had grown up with the KJV, and was thrilled to find translations that I could not only use for Scripture memory, but that were a joy to read!
Right now I would have to say I would love to give (and retake)Beth’s Esther study. God used it a couple of years ago to prepare me for a very dark season that I was about to go through, a terrifying one in which I could not feel His presence, but by faith still knew that He was there.
I would love to have a Bible Atlas!! I am crazy about maps. I even laminate the maps that come with our church resource material! I would rather have a subscription to Bible Illustrator than a fashion magazine!! Hee Hee!!
Besides my favorite book, THe Holy Bible, to give away, I think “Believing God” or “Praying God’s Word” by our Siesta Mama.
The Purpose Driven Life – Rick Warren
Crazy Love by Francis Chan
Kathleen Akridge
“The Princess” by Lori Wick…I’m a sucker for love stories and this is my fav!
I would give away Pain, The Gift Nobody Wants.
Jeanne from Conway, AR
I love giving away Jesus Calling by Sarah Young these days. It is a peaceful, pointed daily devotional book. I have one I am giving to my dr. and all of her team members who helped me through my recent surgery.
I am loving the Patriarchs study right now with a group of ladies in my home. We are so thrilled with going deeper into the WORD of YAH, our God.
I have given away lots of Bibles and I suppose that I will continue to do that.
I have so many books I love and recommend to people. The one I’m thinking of now to giveaway is “Traveling Light” by Max Lucado.
Would just love the book and I have a dear friend that I am mentoring that would be thrilled to have it. Thank you
This would be an awesome resource! I would (and do) give any Francine River book 🙂
