Ladies! I think a Friday afternoon deserves a celebration. We’ve almost made it through the entire work week! Woo hoo! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is always the hardest part of the giveaway because we’d love to gift all 3,911 of you, but alas, we cannot, which I guess is what makes a giveaway so fun. With that said, join me in celebrating our SIX beloved winners for this fabulous giveaway. Believe me when I say we here at the office are coveting each of the gifts and almost threw a fit when we realized we couldn’t enter the giveaway ourselves. We love fun stuff like this just as much as you do!
So, without further ado, congratulations to…

DEAR SIESTAS! THE MERE THOUGHT OF YOU IS MAKING ME GO ALL-CAPSY.
It has been FOREVER and then some but I have been thinking about you. I know I haven’t been in this here blog-space much recently but I can assure you that I’m still at LPM. My days are full since I’m working and going to school part-time. AGAIN. Yes, again. Somehow even when I vow to walk away for good, I end up right back in the classroom in some capacity. This time around I’m working slowly on a M.A. in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. When I’m not researching something for a project at LPM, I’m taking a Greek class in the Septuagint and a Hebrew readings class in the Joseph narrative. Oh, and how could I forget to mention Winston Jeffrey Fitzpatrick?! A little over a year ago Colin brought home a baby rottweiler and our life has never been the same since (even when I desperately want it to be!). Winnie is SO, SO bad but we love him madly.
Here is W posing in my dining room. Or demanding a filet mignon cooked over medium, I’m not really sure.
Here he is again furious about having to wear his birthday hat:
But really, enough about us.
I want to talk about YOU and a fall giveaway we are doing because we love you and appreciate you.
Now, I should mention at this point that if you are one of those people who is SO OVER all the talk about pumpkin-flavored anything, then you will want to run for your life.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Do I have a faithful fall remnant?
This weekend we had our first legit “cold-front” here in Houston. It was even down in the forties one night. Glory be! The crisp cold air in my lungs got to me in the best way possible and, of all things, I wanted to cook. There’s just something about fall that always brings me back to the kitchen. Nothing better than listening to a little Norah Jones or The Civil Wars with the windows cracked open, cool breeze dancing through the house, while a chili or stew simmers on the stove. I thought just maybe fall might do the same for some of you so the grand prize winner will get a redΒ Le Creuset signature round dutch oven (red not orange like the one on the box).
I love it passionately and do not want to let it go. I even enjoy posing with the beloved dutch oven:
The second prize to be claimed is a $100 gift card to Pottery Barn because, let’s be honest, Pottery Barn during the fall season is heaven on earth:
Gift number 3 includes an amazing decorative pillow, fall flower arrangement, and Hill Country Home candle.
Gift number 4 includes a fun little clutch from Anthro, a scarf, several pairs of boot socks, and some gorgeous MAC makeup in fallish colors.
Here is Lindsee modeling the scarf. Love her and she can work a scarf better than anyone I know:
This MAC stuff is tough to photograph but fantastic (includes three eye shadow kits and two lipsticks in shades of Russian Red and Viva Glam III).
Gift number 5 has a bunch of fun stuff: Cook’s Illustrated Fall Entertaining magazine, kitchen towels, mulling spices, Hill Country Home candle (again this is one of my faves!), autumn cupcake decorating set, beautiful engraved silver dish, Trader Joe’s Pumpkin bread mix, and more.
Gift number 6 comes with a fun autumn welcome mat, potpourri, decorative kitchen towel, and my favorite ever mulled apple cider candle. DIVINE.
Here is Mom sorting out all the gifts. Isn’t she cute?
So dear friend, for a chance to win one of the six prizes, please leave a comment with your first and last name and tell us something you love about fall.
We love you so much,
Melissa
(Lindsee not pictured here ONLY because she was out of the office when we snapped this photo)
I love fall for its quietness after a loud and busy summer and I love the colors, sweatshirts and cozying under the covers because it is cold outside and not because of my air conditioner LOL

I love fall weather! I just wish it lasted a little longer. In Tuscaloosa we seem to go from summer to winter with what seems like a two week fall!! :).
Great give aways! Looks like y’all had lots of fun getting them together!
Melissa, love your dog!!! Love the dining room picture especially with the commentary!
Hope y’all have an awesome day!!
I love the smells of Fall! They are so rich and deep, like pumpkin, pecan pie, cinnamon and coffee! Nice.

I LOVE the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks!!
Thank you for doing this, what fun!!! This is embarrassing to admit, but the summer months depress me, I’m 61 and summer clothes don’t hide enough. LOL. And the heat and dryness (sometimes we get little rain) turn everything a dead brown. BUT THEN fall comes around and it’s as if God takes out His paintbrush just for me!!!!!!!!!! My whole family gets into fall, I love this time of year!
cool mornings with coffee on the veranda
I love soup of any kind!!!! Yummy!
Happy Fall Y’all!!! I love everything about Fall…the colors, the weather, the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. But, the best thing I love about Fall is the baking!!! I love everything pumpkin and chocolate, and even more when you combine the two! Hope you gals have a great fall!!
I love the crisp cool weather and the beautiful colors of the trees. What I also love about fall is a chance to dig out all my warm winter sweaters (only because I’m tired of all my summer clothes)!
I love Fall! I live in southwest Florida so we don’t quite get all the beautiful effects of this change of season. We do however, get a little tease of that cooler air which makes me want to sit out on my porch and just enjoy the quiet, peaceful outdoors while I reflect on all the blessing I have in my life. It’s my favorite time of year to sit outside in a comfy chair and read my bible, devotional and a good book! I love to read! I absolutely would love to win any of your fabulous gifts, you have great taste! I have 2 teenagers and a fifth grader that I am blessed with and would love a special treat from you all. Thank you for doing this. Blessings!
I love fall drives with my husband to enjoy the colors.

Being in Houston, the fall season doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s cold enough to break out the scarves and riding boots (or UGGs) just yet! However, what I love about the fall in Houston is that at the tiniest taste of cooler weather, even if it’s only 60, you best believe that I am wearing my favorite scarf and riding boots to church on Sunday!
My sweet son was the first to comment on the scent of fall. . .the smoke from a nearby chimney. And he asked me to get his flannel moose sheets on his bed. . .I love when the geese fly overhead in a great big “V” and honk. It’s like Jesus passing by and honking “Hello” with a “V” for Victory π
~ I LOVE the fall…because I have vivid memories of when I was a little girl…walking in the gutters of the sidewalk so that I could “kick” the fallen leaves…and AS I walked…I talked with the Lord…praising HIM for these fun, colored leaves! π
My favorite thing about fall is seeing my 10 year old daughter Lilly who has the most beautiful bright red hair wear fall colors. She’s just breathtaking!
I love the sound of crisp leaves crackling under my feet!
I love fall because it’s when I have a birthday and Thanksgiving and I get to start pulling out Christmas–hooray! π
I love the fall. It smells of family get togethers. The air is cool, sometimes here in Tx too. But I have lived in 7 different states and appreciate the fall in all of them. The “feeling” is the same.
Oh yes, and the oranges are my favorite color, so I get to decorate with them π
I love fall because it looks like God took his paint brush with the most beautiful colors and painted everything around me. My beautiful daughter was born in October so I thank God for one of the most beautiful gifts in my life!
We are having a beautiful fall in Arkansas as usual…trees turning thanks to the late rains we received after a long dry summer! God is so faithful! It is a chili on the stove kind of day!
Just finished our last lesson in “James: Mercy Triumphs!” and it leaves me a bit sad. I cannot wait to meet James in Heaven…lots to discuss!

I love the fact that people are more receptive to being touched in the Fall. It’s as if we’re willing to huddle together against the cold instead of wanting our own space to suffer through the relentless heat of Summer.
I love the refreshing change of seasons that fall brings! And (more importantly this year), I love the fall because it brings me closer to my February 23, 2013 wedding!!!!
I love the colors: eggplant, crimson, deep emerald, all sorts of lovely, rich colors!
Pumpkin EVERYTHING!! And of course football, tailgating, etc…cheering for the NCSU WOLFPACK!
Fall in our home means enjoying lots of homemade soups. We look forward to big bowls full along with crackers or buttered bread. It doesn’t have to be fancy just steamy. MMMMM!
Besides the beautiful fall leaves I love the reintroduction of the Pumpkin Spice Latte! π
I love smell in the air outside. The grass doesn’t need cutting as much, but there is a certain smell when outside in the crisp afternoons, mostly reminds me of high school football! I love playing in the back yard with my kids, throwing the football with my son. I don’t get so sweaty in the fall! AND of course, LOVE fall Bible Study with my girls at church. We get to decorate the food tables in all the fall stuff and I just love it.
I love PUMPKIN! Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin brownies, pumpkin fluff dip, pumpkin tortellini… What’s not to love?!?
The beautiful colors! And white chicken chili!
Fall is my absolute favorite! I love carving pumpkins, decorating my home and having my coffee by the fireplace! Fire pits outside roasting marshmallows is another top favorite!! Love the giveaways and LOVE your sweet dog! That face is just too cute!
Fall is a wonderful time of the year……finally we get a break from the Dallas temps and can enjoy being outside without sweating to death!!! Also, my dog just loves it when a rake up a big pile of leaves for him to jump into. He could do that for hours.
Oh, to say or not to say! That is the question! I love Fall and we don’t really get a lot of it here in the Houston area BUT we make an annual trip to see our very, very best friends (Best Man at our wedding almost 50 years ago). He and his beautiful wife live in the Northwest corner of Arkansas. It is absolutely heaven on earth this time of year. The colors are magnificent and the hills are glorious! This trip makes me very, very happy and it lasts until the very dull and dreary days of winter in Southeast Texas.
The sun is shining after a devastating Frankenstorm of a weekend..We saw God’s power in full force
I love the color of the leaves as they change as it lets us know that change is in the air…I love cool nights and warm cocoa…I could go on and on…
I love that in the fall I feel like I’m coming alive again. The hot, humid weather of summer makes me feel like a human blob or sloth, some bad sounding word. In the fall I feel more energy, feel like better feeding my family, and for some strange reason, feel more hopeful. I like all the fall things most people do (fires, soups, sweaters, etc.) but when the temps start to fall, I know my spirits are going to go up. God bless you all – what a wonderful giveaway! xxoo
“I LOVE THE FALL BECAUSE LIKE SPRING, IT GIVES US A NEW LEASE ON LIFE. THE CLEANSING OF NATURE, LEAVES FALLING,
PRECIPATATION CLEANSING, FRESH BRISK AIR TO BREATHE, CALMNESS IN OUR SOCIETY AS EVERYTHING SLOWS DOWN A BIT.”
Even though I live in Florida, every fall I long for the mountains of Kentucky – home – and the beautiful colors of the leaves on the trees. It is so wonderful to just be able to sit on the front porch of the old home place on the farm and gaze at God’s beautiful handiwork. AMAZING!
I love the colorful leaves outside the window at my office.
I so love fall due to the cooler weather, crisp apples, football games and long walks with the dog.
Fall is when God sends new carpet for the earth. I love it when he sends the wind to vacuum his carpet while I sit inside and sip cider. π Fall is a time when I count again my many blessings of which all are gifts from our mighty God.
Fall = return to routine, pumpkin bread, football, and the birthday of our oldest child. Love, love, love!
I love everything about fall! But mostly I love the sense that things are slowing down, (which really isn’t the case) and the sense of refreshing and promise that comes from the first breath of cool air that lets you know you have made it through the worst of the inferno that is called summer in Texas!
I love the first cool mornings of fall. It helps me pause even when rushing kids to school, take a deep breath & thank God for another beautiful day. I love my girls’ laughter as they jump in leaves, competing to find the brightest & most beautiful trees & working on snuggly crochet projects. And I really love getting back in my boots!
Crisp clean Michigan air and golden leaves knee deep in the yard. Sun beaming through the parlor window reminding me of God’s blessings and thankful for the change in time and seasons.

Fall is such a wonderful time of year in Colorado. The beautiful green leafed aspens turn to such incredible shades of yellow, red, and orange. The crispness in the air is invigorating. The beauty of the fallen leaves dots the grass with incredible shades of yellow. As the leaves fall it brings me back to the memories of raking up piles of leaves to jump in! I love stepping outside and smelling and feeling the crisp morning air and breathing in the change in the season!

My favorite are the fall leaves! We live in the Smoky Mountains and just adore this season…and I’m so blessed to get to hike and walk and explore with my children!
Love the scents of fall and leaves changing – and a good pot of chili.
I LOVE fall for SO many reasons…the clothes, creations colors, college football, the warm comfort foods, the backyard firepit, really just stop me, the list goes on and on!
I love the gorgeous fall color palate, the crisp temperatures, the start of all the holidays, picking apples, and other fun traditions and times with family.
