Ladies! I think a Friday afternoon deserves a celebration. We’ve almost made it through the entire work week! Woo hoo! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is always the hardest part of the giveaway because we’d love to gift all 3,911 of you, but alas, we cannot, which I guess is what makes a giveaway so fun. With that said, join me in celebrating our SIX beloved winners for this fabulous giveaway. Believe me when I say we here at the office are coveting each of the gifts and almost threw a fit when we realized we couldn’t enter the giveaway ourselves. We love fun stuff like this just as much as you do!
So, without further ado, congratulations to…

DEAR SIESTAS! THE MERE THOUGHT OF YOU IS MAKING ME GO ALL-CAPSY.
It has been FOREVER and then some but I have been thinking about you. I know I haven’t been in this here blog-space much recently but I can assure you that I’m still at LPM. My days are full since I’m working and going to school part-time. AGAIN. Yes, again. Somehow even when I vow to walk away for good, I end up right back in the classroom in some capacity. This time around I’m working slowly on a M.A. in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. When I’m not researching something for a project at LPM, I’m taking a Greek class in the Septuagint and a Hebrew readings class in the Joseph narrative. Oh, and how could I forget to mention Winston Jeffrey Fitzpatrick?! A little over a year ago Colin brought home a baby rottweiler and our life has never been the same since (even when I desperately want it to be!). Winnie is SO, SO bad but we love him madly.
Here is W posing in my dining room. Or demanding a filet mignon cooked over medium, I’m not really sure.
Here he is again furious about having to wear his birthday hat:
But really, enough about us.
I want to talk about YOU and a fall giveaway we are doing because we love you and appreciate you.
Now, I should mention at this point that if you are one of those people who is SO OVER all the talk about pumpkin-flavored anything, then you will want to run for your life.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Do I have a faithful fall remnant?
This weekend we had our first legit “cold-front” here in Houston. It was even down in the forties one night. Glory be! The crisp cold air in my lungs got to me in the best way possible and, of all things, I wanted to cook. There’s just something about fall that always brings me back to the kitchen. Nothing better than listening to a little Norah Jones or The Civil Wars with the windows cracked open, cool breeze dancing through the house, while a chili or stew simmers on the stove. I thought just maybe fall might do the same for some of you so the grand prize winner will get a redΒ Le Creuset signature round dutch oven (red not orange like the one on the box).
I love it passionately and do not want to let it go. I even enjoy posing with the beloved dutch oven:
The second prize to be claimed is a $100 gift card to Pottery Barn because, let’s be honest, Pottery Barn during the fall season is heaven on earth:
Gift number 3 includes an amazing decorative pillow, fall flower arrangement, and Hill Country Home candle.
Gift number 4 includes a fun little clutch from Anthro, a scarf, several pairs of boot socks, and some gorgeous MAC makeup in fallish colors.
Here is Lindsee modeling the scarf. Love her and she can work a scarf better than anyone I know:
This MAC stuff is tough to photograph but fantastic (includes three eye shadow kits and two lipsticks in shades of Russian Red and Viva Glam III).
Gift number 5 has a bunch of fun stuff: Cook’s Illustrated Fall Entertaining magazine, kitchen towels, mulling spices, Hill Country Home candle (again this is one of my faves!), autumn cupcake decorating set, beautiful engraved silver dish, Trader Joe’s Pumpkin bread mix, and more.
Gift number 6 comes with a fun autumn welcome mat, potpourri, decorative kitchen towel, and my favorite ever mulled apple cider candle. DIVINE.
Here is Mom sorting out all the gifts. Isn’t she cute?
So dear friend, for a chance to win one of the six prizes, please leave a comment with your first and last name and tell us something you love about fall.
We love you so much,
Melissa

I love the cooler weather so I can wear boots and the colorful leaves and drinking hot tea.
Fall favorites-the smell of a wood fire, the brilliant colors of fall, raking up a giant pile of leaves and jumping right in the middle of them(over and over and over),apple cider, the crispness of a fall morning.
oops! just put this comment on the wrong post…do over!!
I LOVE watching our sweet 2 year old daughter discover that leaves “crunch” when she walks thru them…and then hearing her say “wow” as she walks along! π
All of the F’s are my Fall favorites – faith, family, friends, football, fires, and Fritos covered in chili!
Love that my family comes inside and
settles in for board games and some
fun family time!
I love the changing weather and the deeply rich and warm colors of fall.
LOVE the colors and the crispness. Oh, and the golden afternoon light. Oh, and football. Oh, and….
I love the time I get with my family.
Oh fall. My favorite thing about this season is getting all bundled up to walk my dachshund through the gorgeous fallen leaves and splash in the puddles (with rainboots on, of course).
My favorite thing about fall is being able to drive around with my man and look at all the beautiful fall colors! I also love to sit on the back porch and just enjoy the crisp fall breeze (along with a divine cup of French-press coffee)!
My name is Sheryl Dean. I love the beautiful colors of fall. Oh, and the cool weather. I remember while I was growing up that my Mom would open the door to the cool air and say one word, “Invigorating.” She loved fall weather and I do too.
Dawn Russell – I love fall because it means I get to look forward to spending holidays with beloved friends.
So much that I love about fall! I got married on the first day of fall. Sept.21 1996 to my best friend, the person who proved there is men out there that will love unconditionally and have total faith in God. I love the variety of God’s artistry in the changing colors of the leaves. The crisp air in the morning. warming fires and cuddling under a warm blanket with my husband and two little boys with Hot chocolate and marshmellows.
I love the crisp cool breeze of the morning, so that I can snuggle in my cozy robe, sip my coffee and read my Bible on my front porch chair. Sooooo refreshing.
I love everything about fall. Fall is my favorite season. Well, next to Christmas which starts at my house around the 2nd week of November… We celebrate Thanksmas (instead of Thanksgiving) π
I love watching Swarley my son’s five month old beagle chase wind blown leaves.
I love once again enjoying the feel of the warm sun as the cool air harmonizes with it.
I love everything fall! Here in Florida we had our first coldish spell this week, too and I loved that I could wear my favorite sweater and drink a hot drink without having to crank the AC!
Growing up in California, I didn’t get the leaves falling and changing colors like I do now that I’m in Iowa. Gorgeous even in a drought year!
Crunchy leaves, frost on the pumpkin, applesauce on the stove and crisp Adirondack Mountain air. Since I’ve now lived in Florida for three years — those I are things I MISS most about fall. Here in Florida, I am still wearing shorts!
My favorite thing about fall is the colors. My grandmother lives in the country and has a beautiful pond and trees everywhere. It just makes me miss being a kid like crazy, rolling around in the leaves!
I LOVE fall because of the crisp, cool mornings and beautiful, sunshine-filled days. Just love watching the colors of the trees changing from lush green to vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges. Favorite time of year!
My favorite thing is pumpkins in the fields against a backdrop of fall color! And Thanksgiving π
Katie Taylor – I love the nostalgia I always feel around this time of year, and the promise of the holiday season always brings back childlike giddiness. There is also something about the beauty of the changing leaves that has always been magical to me.
I love the smells of fall.
I love the bearable fall temps in Oklahoma…I’m an Okie but lived 12 years in Kentucky and THAT, people, is a state whose trees know how to do FALL!! Nothing like a fall KY drive!!
I love everything about fall…but especially the beautiful colors we have here in Wisconsin!
The three best things about fall are college football (WPS!), cool crisp fall weather w/the trees changing colors, and Thanksgiving Day!
my favorite thing is the Lord showing off his love for color in the changing of the leaves. so beautiful.
I love fall for many reasons: the beautiful colors of changing leaves; sweaters, boots, scarves & hats; I also enjoy the pumpkin awesomeness of it all!!!
I love sweatshirts! So glad that it is fall. But of course, the fall leaves are my favorite when they are that beautiful bright orange. They are getting close up here in NE Oklahoma near Grand Lake!
Old favorite: Cooler weather, finally! New favorite: A wedding anniversary to celebrate.
Fall,my all time favorite time of year! Childhood memories of jumping in leaves, harvesting the last of the garden goodness, family drives to see the colors of God’s creation, and watching sons and grandsons play football. I treasure those memories of Fall. Fall is also the season we buried our mother, the last vist with a college age adult who died to young, and the last season of my father’s active life before cancer claimed his vitality.
Amy Beres – My favorite things in the fall are apple orchards, farms and corn mazes…all three in one is perfect!
What I love about Fall…I celebrate my wedding anniversary in the fall (this year is 27 years), the changing colors, football, wearing scarves, making soups and stews and sitting by the warm fire. Julie Burke
The thing I love most about fall: watching my two little boys role in leaves (Ezra-6, Levi-4). Raking leaves into piles and having leaf fights. Sitting with them and enjoying the wonder in their eyes as they find leaves with so many colors and hearing them say, “Mommy this is beautiful. Did you know God made it?” Its the little things that welcome this thanksgiving season into our lives that remind us what we should really be thankful for. Sharing this season and every season with the ones we love, enjoying the beauty in each season (because God so lovingly gave us things to enjoy in each one), and remembering all the harvests I have seen and still are yet to be seen…these are the things I love about fall.
Ok…I’m going straight to the food. I love all the pumpkin “stuff”…pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin pie, etc. Not much Fall colors in Las Vegas but I do enjoy the cooler temps with the windows open and the a/c off.
My favorite thing about fall is how people seem to be more loving toward one another and want to be with family more (even if the only family you have is your church family).
Oh what lovely giveaways. Thanks for the chance to win! I love this time of year and everything that comes with it. Hands down, though, my favorite thing about fall is the changing leaves. This time of year is just gorgeous.
I love everything about Autumn, but high school football is #1, followed closely by college football! Our little town is undefeated, with just one game left tomorrow night! I’m feeling “state championship” coming on!!!! I LOVE all of the prizes, hoping I win one! Love you all for all you do for us siestas!
Fall bible study!
My favorite things are red and orange trees, bonfires, and spiced apple cider!
Sherry – I LOVE FALL for many reasons, not the least of which is the cooler temperatures, especially when there is a true CRISPNESS in the air. I LOVE FALL colors, especially when you see them as little BURSTS OF COLOR on trees/bushes as you’re driving around. I love THANKSGIVING, and the ANTICIPATION of CHRISTMAS just around the corner. And, this just occurred to me as i was writing this: it’s also the season when my family/i have the most GOD-STOP ANNIVERSARIES (Sept. 28-29, Oct. 15, Nov. 18).
A few of my fall favorites are sweaters, boots, football and kids coming home for the holidays.
WOW! What an amazing and generous gift package!
What I love about Fall: Pumpkin Spice Lattes (at Speedway gas stations where they’re only 99 cents and the 7th one is always free! Great for us “thrifty gals” on a budget! π
Why do I love the fall?!? Ah so many reasons. As the air gets cooler and the colors around us begin to change I am reminded that my God is faithful in all seasons. My favorite thing about fall will have to be the way God paints the skies. And how the trees change from a vibrant green to reds yellows and oranges. I am reminded of how God makes all things new and how that process of sanctification, though difficult at times, is beautiful! Fall is hands down my favorite!!
I love the fall colors and cooler temps. And it brings my birthday! Thankful for each year God has given!
I love the watching the leaves change color in the fall! I drive a lot for my job so it is something that makes me smile as I go about my day.
Leah Bunger
My favorite thing about fall is that first cold front that comes thru and you can finally pull out the jeans, boots, and sweaters!!!
One of my favorite things about fall is the SMELL!
