Ladies! I think a Friday afternoon deserves a celebration. We’ve almost made it through the entire work week! Woo hoo! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is always the hardest part of the giveaway because we’d love to gift all 3,911 of you, but alas, we cannot, which I guess is what makes a giveaway so fun. With that said, join me in celebrating our SIX beloved winners for this fabulous giveaway. Believe me when I say we here at the office are coveting each of the gifts and almost threw a fit when we realized we couldn’t enter the giveaway ourselves. We love fun stuff like this just as much as you do!

DEAR SIESTAS! THE MERE THOUGHT OF YOU IS MAKING ME GO ALL-CAPSY.
It has been FOREVER and then some but I have been thinking about you. I know I haven’t been in this here blog-space much recently but I can assure you that I’m still at LPM. My days are full since I’m working and going to school part-time. AGAIN. Yes, again. Somehow even when I vow to walk away for good, I end up right back in the classroom in some capacity. This time around I’m working slowly on a M.A. in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. When I’m not researching something for a project at LPM, I’m taking a Greek class in the Septuagint and a Hebrew readings class in the Joseph narrative. Oh, and how could I forget to mention Winston Jeffrey Fitzpatrick?! A little over a year ago Colin brought home a baby rottweiler and our life has never been the same since (even when I desperately want it to be!). Winnie is SO, SO bad but we love him madly.
Here is W posing in my dining room. Or demanding a filet mignon cooked over medium, I’m not really sure.
Here he is again furious about having to wear his birthday hat:
But really, enough about us.
I want to talk about YOU and a fall giveaway we are doing because we love you and appreciate you.
Now, I should mention at this point that if you are one of those people who is SO OVER all the talk about pumpkin-flavored anything, then you will want to run for your life.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Do I have a faithful fall remnant?
This weekend we had our first legit “cold-front” here in Houston. It was even down in the forties one night. Glory be! The crisp cold air in my lungs got to me in the best way possible and, of all things, I wanted to cook. There’s just something about fall that always brings me back to the kitchen. Nothing better than listening to a little Norah Jones or The Civil Wars with the windows cracked open, cool breeze dancing through the house, while a chili or stew simmers on the stove. I thought just maybe fall might do the same for some of you so the grand prize winner will get a red Le Creuset signature round dutch oven (red not orange like the one on the box).
I love it passionately and do not want to let it go. I even enjoy posing with the beloved dutch oven:
The second prize to be claimed is a $100 gift card to Pottery Barn because, let’s be honest, Pottery Barn during the fall season is heaven on earth:
Gift number 3 includes an amazing decorative pillow, fall flower arrangement, and Hill Country Home candle.
Gift number 4 includes a fun little clutch from Anthro, a scarf, several pairs of boot socks, and some gorgeous MAC makeup in fallish colors.
Here is Lindsee modeling the scarf. Love her and she can work a scarf better than anyone I know:
This MAC stuff is tough to photograph but fantastic (includes three eye shadow kits and two lipsticks in shades of Russian Red and Viva Glam III).
Gift number 5 has a bunch of fun stuff: Cook’s Illustrated Fall Entertaining magazine, kitchen towels, mulling spices, Hill Country Home candle (again this is one of my faves!), autumn cupcake decorating set, beautiful engraved silver dish, Trader Joe’s Pumpkin bread mix, and more.
Gift number 6 comes with a fun autumn welcome mat, potpourri, decorative kitchen towel, and my favorite ever mulled apple cider candle. DIVINE.
Here is Mom sorting out all the gifts. Isn’t she cute?
So dear friend, for a chance to win one of the six prizes, please leave a comment with your first and last name and tell us something you love about fall.
We love you so much,
Melissa

Football. Bright orange leaves. Football. Cool air (although I’m not liking the cold too much). And did I mention football?
How sweet y’all are to give away such fun goodies! I love all things fall, but cool evening air and bonfires top the list!
Deirdre Russell

I love seeing everything through my 2 year olds eyes. Running through the leaves. Seeing the amazement of her noticing the change in colors of the trees. Seeing her treasure acorns, and pine cones. It’s the very best!! And you can’t forget the pumpkins!!
Open windows, Pumpkin bars & lattes, falling leaves, not sweating (as much) during my runs, jeans, boots, sweaters, soup, apple desserts, Gratitude lists, holiday plans, bond fires….
O give thanks to the Lord, He Is Good!
Most favorite thing about fall way up here in the Great White North is the fire crackling, which sets the furnace fan blowing which then lulls me to sleep…..aaaaaaah!
I love the cooler weather that fall brings. For me it is like having a new wardrobe when I bring out my sweaters from storage. I haven’t seen them for 9 months!
My favorite thing about fall is the first fire in the fireplace, curled up on the couch with my man and drinking coffee together. I also love the smell of freshly sharpened pencils from going back to school 🙂

The reminder of this quote every time I see a tree with vibrant red, yellow or orange leaves…”God walks everywhere incognito. Every bush is a burning bush and the world is crowded with God. What we need to do is awaken to Him and even more to remain awake to His Presence.” CS Lewis
So many fall loves – leaves, high school football, carmel apple cider, planning for Thanksgiving dinner, and on and on and on
Nanette Ryan – My favorite thing about fall is the changing colors of the leaves.

What I love about Fall is FOOTBALL!
My favorite thing about fall is wearing my favorite sweatshirt whenever I want to because it’s finally cool enough to wear it in TX!
Leaves — the gorgeous changing colors while still on the trees, and then the crunch and smell when they’re on the ground and I’m walking through them. Yummy!
Karlys Fortner
College football, clothes for cooler weather, and cooler weather (under 80 degrees!)
My favorite thing about fall is the smell of the leaves as they dry and the wonderful crunch you hear when you step on them!

I love everything about fall! S’mores, the weather, boots, football!!, falling leaves, kids in pumpkin patches, hayrides, warm cocoa next to a fire, the night sky, long walks in the woods and the promise of winter!
Fall is my favorite time of the year! I think it is because God gets out His paintbrushes and goes crazy. It makes me so excited to go out and look at the wonders of His Hands! I just throw my hands up in the air and “Behold His Glory”. Now, that I have a grandson, I can take his precious face in my hands and tell him how wonderful our Savior is this time of the year. Go out and catch a fresh breeze and sense His presence. I think I’ll jump up and go out there right now!
For me fall is the time to get cozy, comfortable and content, remembering all of my blessings from the Lord. It’s a time to reconnect with people after a summer of busy, crazy lives. It’s a time to make yummy gifts for family and friends like jars of jam, servings of soup and hand-written notes, reminding them how much they are loved and why. It’s a time to bundle up in sweaters and scarves, snapping on the leash and taking long walks in the crisp air with a furry friend. It’s a time to talk on the phone, wrapped in a throw, sitting by the fire or to read God’s word with a candle burning, basking in the knowledge that He is our everything. Fall is time to stock up on “Necessities” like hand lotion, candles, wrapping paper, and stocking stuffers. It’s a season of looking forward to a season of celebration of the birth of our Lord. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Fall is my favorite.
Ryann Johnson – I love the cooler weather which means I can drink more hot drinks!
I love all the change of seasons and in Illinois we get them all. I especially love fall because of the color changes. We drive 1 1/2 hours to church every Sunday, then home again and it is like we are in a Thomas Kincade picture with all the fall colors and the sunlight hitting the trees. Just beautiful! Then with Thanksgiving, a holiday that has not been commercialized and a time to be Thankful for how blessed we are! That is why I like fall! Plus that also means Christmas is right around the corner! Just love this time of year!
I love watching the leaves change colors!
First, Winnie is adorbs!!…and you make me feel so much better when you say he is bad. My little Chico is terrible but I love him so!!!
I love several things about fall. Living in FL it is a relief to get some cold air and actually be able to bust out my boots and scarves…even if the scarf can only be worn half the day (generally gets warm again in the afternoon here). Sooo…to sum it up..boots, scarves, and being outside in the cool air. 🙂
Lauren Luke- My favorite thing about fall is SEC football and vegetable soup; they go hand in hand!
Stephanie Bobo
I love the crisp fall air and the variety of colors all around
I LOVE Fall!!! My husband and I were married 31 years ago in October. My daughter was born

I love the coziness of Fall, after being outside all summer in Michigan the temperature starts to fall and it feels good to be inside sipping hot apple cider. I love Fall also because we start a new Beth Moore bible study!

This Fall I am loving time with my family and fun college football!
Amber Jackson and I love snuggling up in bed when we get a couple of days of cold weather.. Or cool, we are in Houston after all.. L!
Fall really is my favorite season. There are so many things I love about it! Living in Louisiana now, I don’t feel there is a “true” fall like when I grew up in Illinois. Here is what I miss:
1) Seeing the changing color in the leaves, feeling the cooler, crisp breezes on my skin.
2) Attending homecoming football games where we could see our breath and always anticipated a warm bowl of chili after!
3) The smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and baking pies & pumpkin seeds in Mom’s oven
4) Going out to the apple barn/farm for hayrides and plenty of hot apple fritters, pumpkin doughnuts and hot apple cider
5) Awesome sunsets over the many colored trees; I always felt I could see God’s wonders most in the fall. 🙂
I love EVERYTHING about fall. UT (the original UT) football, hayrides, all things cinnamon and pumpkin. And ofcourse, I always do a little “B Mo” as I call her, study in the fall. 🙂 Cheers to James!
I love the chill in the air, breaking out the fall attire, and being able to eat some good posolie.
I live in the Midwest, so I adore all the changing leave colors we have here. God spoils us with the brillant colors!
I LOVE to see the amazing colors of the fall, this year a tree on my street was half red and half green! Love the crispness of the air and lots of blankets on the bed!
I love the hunkering down and getting coziness of fall! Creating warm meals in the kitchen, Friday night football and the gorgeous colors on the trees!

Fall is a time of Harvest and changeing of colors. It refreshes us and brings us to slowing down and enjoying all God created for us.He created us for his pleasure and Beth you seem to bring that out for us all to enjoy.Thank you so much and blessings to you
I love the crunch of the beautiful leaves under my feet as I am hiking through the blaze of color that fall brings to New England. I love pulling out my favorite sweaters that I haven’t seen in awhile, like old comforting friends. I love a steaming cup of chai latte shared with a friend after I have dropped the kids off at school. I love the crackle of a fire in the fireplace shared with my family. Fall is my favorite season and I am thankful for it!
I love the beauty of the fall leaves, the change in cuisine (pumpkin, squash, apples, soups, stews, chili… need I go on?!?), and football!!
Judy Marley
I really do love all things pumpkin…taste, smell, color. Wonderful!
I love when the coolness hits the air and the leaves begin to turm. As a country girl that always meant the kitchen was cool enough to bake all day. My daughters (Alexa and Hannah) help me make all kinds of breads and then we distrubute them to our neighbors because we can bake more than we can eat. It blesses us so much to reach out and give to the people around us and fall is when fresh bread warms the heart and the home. It is also a great ice breaker for sharing the word of God.
