Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I would give away A Thousand Gifts by Ann Voscamp–it’s been such a help to me as I learn to practice gratitude in daily living. Praying for the conference in Australia!
My recent favorite is One in A Million by Priscilla Shirer, such a great read and it inspires me to go deeper and do more!
I would (and have) give away “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn. My pastor/husband of 33 years passed away on Christmas Eve of 2009 and reading that book put a flame in my heart for Heaven that had never been there before. I think as lovers of God we are not taught of heaven nor are we as excited about heaven as we should be. This book takes care of both!!
Been meaning to give away so long insecurity to a friend
Diane Ringenberg
I’ve already given away several copies of “Jesus Calling” this year. Great book to share.
I would love a copy of this bible atlas. Thanks so much for the giveaway. ~ Debbie
Matt Chandler’s new book – the Explicit Gospel
Laura Prater
If I could give away one book to anybody it would be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is one of my favorite books of all time. I think it has a great message that women need to hear. God used it to speak deeply to my spirit at a time when it was very broken.
1) Casey Springer
2) My friends all cry uncle when I say I have a new book. I have kind of become the book lady among them…which I guess I love. I have leant and given everything from studies to Angie Smiths’ new books.
I love a new book!
I would love to give a Bible to my beloved sister!
Sweet Blessings to you guys.
I would and have given away “I WIll Carry You” by Angie Smith along with the CD with Audrey’s Song.
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. It has a way a speaking straight to ya. Loved it. 🙂
Lorna Beth Hutter
I would give away “The Prodigal God” by Tim Keller – shows the gospel in all its glory.
What a fun drawing! I enjoyed and have given as gifts “Dinner with a Stranger” and “Day with a Stranger”. Just two wonderful books, that tells of Jesus love of us in a easy to read manner.
My mom! If she promised to share!
Sheldon McKinney

I am loving 1000 Gifts by Ann Voscamp. So good! I have already given away 2 of her books.
The book “The Shack” was a very compelling book to me many years ago. It was a book that really got my attention & woke me up in a sense. It helped to light the fire inside me to dig deeper in my faith & gave me the hunger for learning more of the WORD.
Lauren Bates- the obvious answer for a great gift is the Bible. However, if I could give everyone who loves good books a book to cherish, it would be Gone With the Wind =) Happy Reading… and this atlas looks awesome!
I would give away a Bible. The Bible should be our most precious physical posession we own.
I would give A Prayer for Owen Meany because it shows that no matter who we are, we all have a purpose. And it’s written extremely well.
Tammy Burch
I would give Beth’s James study. That has been the most profound study of any I have ever done.
Natasha Hoffman- I would have to say I would give Mary Heart in a Martha world. It is usch a grounding book. I would love to add this to our bookshelves. The kids would just be overjoyed to spend hours with it.
This looks like an amazing book; I’m fascinated by historical geography.
I love to give away books and try to give according to what the person is willing to take on.
Katie Rosenbaum
I would give away “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers to as many people as I can. Currently, I’m working on giving away several copies of “Let Me be a Woman” by Elisabeth Elliot to all my friends who are getting married in the next couple of months.
At this moment in time, I am in love with Andy Andrews. It would definitely be one of his fabulous reads!
I love books and really enjoy sharing them with my friends. One of the most inspiring to me which I have given away several copies of is “The Prodigal God” by Tim Keller. Also, anything by Henri Nouwen (especially The Return of the Prodigal Son – notice a pattern here?) would be wonderful to share!
Thanks!
Hmmm… I think I’d give away Bibles to those who don’t have but want one.
Thanks for these giveaways! So much fun, and so great to learn about new resources.
April Garcia
I soooo need this book!! I have to keep checking them out at the library!
An awesome book for a give-away would be a Jewish Study Bible.
I have (and still would) given away Get Out of that Pit to several struggling patients!
Julie DeTemple
Hmmm… Hard to pick just one. A favorite of mine lately is Enemies of the Heart by Andy Stanley…..great read!
The book I would give away is The Dream Giver. It was assigned reading in one of the ministerial training classes I took and blessed me more than any assigned or suggested reading we did. Such an encouraging and inspiring word to awaken the God-given dream in each of us. -Katie
This is a fun give away! 🙂
The one book I like to buy at used book stores, when I find it, and then give away to friends is “Redeeming Love,” by Francine Rivers. I’ve read it so many times and cry each time I do!
I would give away “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. It’s deceptively sassy for something that was written over 200 years ago. Just goes to show that we women are pretty much the same no matter what period of time we live in!
I would give away the devotional Jesus Calling. I just love reading the devotions every morning. They really have a way of telling me just what I need to hear for the day.
Anything by Francine Rivers would be my giveaway, but if I had to choose just one, I’d select Redeeming Love! It’s a beautiful story of God’s gift of redemption and unending love for His people to show His glory!
Michel Kutcher- one of my all time favorite’s is desiring God by John Piper.
Crazy Love by Francis Chan!
I would give away (I actually have!) is Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s “Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands”. It changed marriaged!
In fact I am trying to find a “Good news, Today’s English Version hard back to give to a friend. I love the stick figures and I love that its subdivided into sections with Bold summary titles. I also want my friends to have the book “God calling” because I think its inspirational.
Fun!
Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas. “What if God’s design for marriage is more for holiness than happiness?”
And here’s the crack up … I’ve never even been married! I just love the book, and every friend I have whose walked the isle .. yep… they received a copy in hand:) Each one now does the same! 🙂
This is a hard choice. I absolutely love anything written by Karen Kingsbury. So hard to pick just one. My new favorite would have to be “You Are Amazing” by Holley Gerth.
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer
I would give away a Bible.
Diana Edgar
I would have to give someone Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
I would give away Captivating by The Eldridges. What an amazing design women are and how God’s divine design is awesome!
Kristin Mitchell
Dunmor, Ky
I would give away an Allan ESV reader ‘s edition.
Jo-Ann Vernon
One of the best books for me, a child whose parents were each married at least three times, is Breaking the Cycle of Divorce by John Trent. I would give this wonderful read to anyone who suffered through their parents divorce(s).
Karen Lynne.
Hope for the flowers.
I would have to say My Utmost for His Highest – Thanks! Karen Carter
