Oops. Forgot my comment.
I am loud and intense. My verses that had words like gentle, patient, kind and bless…they rang in my heart. I want those verses to change me.
Forgot my testimony …
This is something like my 7th go around with SSMT. Now, I share my Scriptures with my Facebook friends. All year I got comments on how that Scripture spoke to them in their circumstances, and I’m so grateful for the Holy Spirit, how it works in our lives to spread, encourage, and uphold people wherever they are.
If I should say, “if my foot has slipped,” Your lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up. When my anxious thoughts mulitiply within me, your consolations delight my soul. Psalm 94:18-19

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.

To Beth and the LPM staff—Thank you so much for this opportunity to be a part of a community of believers who were memorizing scripture. This has been a year of change and upheaval for my family, and it is no coincidence that it is also my first experience with SDMT. Each verse that the Lord led me to showed me His steadfastness in a season of uncertainty. As I look back through my spiral, it is like a diary of my year—verses that I needed in times of sadness, frustration, joy, Thanksgiving, and even rebuke. 2017 is ending much easier than it started, and the verses in my spiral are my “stones of remembrance” of God’s faithfulness. I will keep it always, and I am grateful to all of you!

My word and direction this year has been based around God’s treasure in my life, how he leads me out away from my past and leads me into a future, his plans and not my own. my word for this year would be teasure(thats what He is to me) and restoration(what he’s done for me)

What a gift God has given me to memorize scripture alongside other women all around the world. Posting my versus helped keep me accountable. The majority of my memorization was Matthew 5:1-20. The Beatitudes are now planted firmly in my heart. Thank you!

Each month with I send a letter to Gladys, my sponsored child in Kenya,Africa, she is 16. Each time you have Bible verses to memorize I print out the two verses each month (with pictures or designs) and send them with my letter. I do not ask her to memorize but only to read them whenever she can. I send along some extra copies so she can give them to her friends. She can be a missionary right where she is.

It’s impossible to put into words what these verses have meant to me this year and how God has used them to change me. But I’ll settle for sharing this: he taught me to pray Scripture in a new way and he taught me to live free. And so I can say with confidence that every ounce of effort has been completely worth it. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us… (Eph. 1:3)

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You;
and my soul, which You have redeemed. My tongue also will utter Your righteousness all day long; for they are ashamed, for they are humiliated who seek my hurt. –Psalm 71:23-24
The Lord was so sweet to give me an opportunity to speak at a local ladies’ conference last month, and I shared the chapter I memorized and researched this year (Ps. 71) My focus was v. 14: But as for me, I will HOPE continually, and will praise You yet more and more (emphasis mine). Hope – Hebrew ‘yachal’ /yaw-chal/ — to wait, to expect, to be patient, to tarry (we think it means dilly-dallying or being tardy, but it can mean ‘wait’ or ‘remaining or staying’) specifically in Ps. 71:14 the sense of expectation of hope. (Oh, how I need to know this!) Spurgeon says no man was more diligent in praises than David, and yet he was not content with all his former praises. He wanted the more and more! Thank you so much, Beth, for SSMT! Merry Christmas!

Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Isaiah 58:10 NOT
I was incredibly intimidated to memorize scripture! I like the accountability of putting them on the blog. This has been an incredible journey – one that NO ONE around me wanted to participate in, but I really felt like my sisters in Christ are doing it with me, so I’m not alone. These verses I’ve chosen have spoken directly to my circumstances and I’m grateful God helped me stick with it. This is new to me but I’m learning to depend on Him and His Word. I have realized that His Word truly IS LIVING AND ACTIVE!!

Entreat me not to leave you, Or turn back from following after you;

Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.
Ruth 1:16 NKJV
I’ve been so amazed as the year has gone on and I’ve come across Bible studies, Sunday School lessons, and verses people have shared, how often it would be one of “my” verses. I would say to myself, I know that. Yes, that’s one of MINE! And know that God is hiding these in my heart for the future when I will visit them again.

Now faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things not seen.
I was so excited to post verse 24. I put the cart before the horse. I posted before watching the video.
SSMT was the anchor for my soul in this year of craziness. The world has gone mad. I felt so spiritually dry and out of sorts. But God!! But God drew me closer with daily time repeating verses to Him. Each verse marks what was happening the 1st & 15th of each month and means so much. Each was a gift, a smile from ABBA, Father, Daddy.

I forgot to add this part: it has been a year of ups and downs, my oldest graduated and got her first nursing job, my young sister-in-law lost her battle w cancer, my middle daughter survived hurricane Irma in Puerto Rico then the Drs found a tumor on her spine, my youngest daughter’s away at college and worried because her boyfriend has been oversees serving in the marines in a dangerous area but is expected home early next year. Through all of this, putting God’s word in my mind and heart has reminded me of who He is and his everlasting faithfulness!
