Good Thursday morning, ladies!
We pray all is well with you and yours this day.
Originally, we had the thought to post this on Monday, but then the big Winter Storm of 2014 blew in and kind of threw our system off kilter. We ended up posting information about Bible study instead, and the next day we hunkered down at our respective homes while the ice and snow barely reached the ground on Tuesday. Needless to say, things unexpected and unplanned for ended up swirling and here we are and it’s Thursday and I was not going to let this post go to waste.
If she comes to mind, you wouldn’t waste a prayer on Beth, or any of her family or LPM as she is preparing simultaneously for multiple teaching opportunities. Ones that have been on the calendar for well over a year, but the time is now so she’s neck deep in preparartion. I know I don’t have to tell you that she is one of the hardest workers I know which in return blesses us. We’re so grateful for your prayers and support. We love y’all so much.
So, onto Bible study! We usually don’t wait until nearly the end of January to hear from you about Bible study, but it’s better late than never, right?
Inquiring minds want to know, what Bible study are you digging into this semester? As we’ve mentioned here a few times, we just launched our Tuesday night Bible study titled: Breath: The Life of God in Us, but we want to know what you are up to?
How about we do this, tell us your name, your city and your Bible study of choice and if you’re going at it solo or with a group or leading or attending. There are countless studies out there today, so do not feel one ounce of pressure (and please do not hear us saying) that we only want to know if you’re doing a “Beth Moore” Bible study. It is our joy to hear all the different authors you are studying under!
We even want to hear from you if what you’re committed to this semester, or this year, is reading through the Bible in one year. That’s big, B I G, and we want to cheer you on and walk alongside you. Sometimes we’re not committed to something until we speak it out loud or write it down for someone else to see. A little accountability never hurt anyone!
To make it fun, I’ll go ahead and post my answer in the comments! I miss doing that!
This is short and sweet but we’ll look forward to hearing from you!
Denise, Raleigh, NC, Stepping Up by Beth, small group study- Loving it!
We are doing Priscilla Shirer’s “Gideon”. Finishing first week and loving it! I am the leader of the Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Study at Covenant Church International, Raleigh, NC.
I am doing “Twelve Ordinary Men” by John MacArthur. I am taking a break this semester from leading bible study and my husband and I are doing this study together. It is a blessing to study the Word with my husband.
Patty: Talbott, Tn. I am doing Jennifer Rothschild “s study, Missing Pieces. I am solo on this one.:)
We are a group of girls doing the Beth Moore Esther study in Kings Cross in London. We are loving it and loving the fact that we can do breakfast and go together every Saturday!
This is our third one, we did James, then Breaking Free and now this one… love it!
Ok I know this is silly but I love a bargain!! The free books Beth had on kindle was great! It got me started doing the study on John so, yes I dug out my old workbook and it is really amazing how much you miss the first time around!! Anyway, the best part is I have told several young moms I know how the books are free and how easy it is to turn it into a study, there are no blanks to fill out and it totally guides you in reading Bible verses. Some of the little moms I’m associated with are overwhelmed with time, money, and energy. So , this has been a great way for me to share a way for them to be connected to bible study on their phone!! Absolutely love it!!!
Sheri – Milwaukee, WI
I’m doing Patriarchs with the “Bible Study Babes”. We’re an inter-denominational group of 12 women who have been doing Beth’s Studies for 8 years. Thanks Beth!
Hi my name is Peggy. I live in Satellite Beach Florida. Our church is Church for the Beach. Seven women from our church are doing The revised version of A Women’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place on the Tabernacle. It is so awesome, we are on week 3 so we are “in it to stay” as Beth says!! We are in Susan’s living room and I just love when you talk to us by acknowledging us when you are making a point, usually!! We laugh with you and I love you Beth, you have definitely been my Spiritual Mom since I met you in a small church in New Hampshire 25 years ago. The church was maybe half full…We came from Connecticut and women were there from all of New England. How amazing God is as I look out at the full stadium or whatever you are doing this in!!!!! How many come see you at events now…Thousands of women!!! Your HOPE of reaching women is alive and well Beth!!! I still pray for you as you asked that you never lose your love for JESUS…And you Haven’t God Bless ladies from one of God’s biggest fans!!!

I am in a bible study group with friends here in Houston. Most of us met when our kids were in school together. We’ve been doing bible study for about ten years now. Last fall we did Beth’s study of Esther. This spring we are doing Beth’s Stepping Up-Psalms of Ascent. I love that whatever we decide to study, God shows up and
blesses our time together. Each time we select a study we know that it’s the one we were destined to do.
I attend a weekly Bible study with co-workers: Wednesdays with Beth. We are currently doing Living Beyond Yourself, Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit.
Tammy Christenberry: Sedalia, MO I am a high school counselor, so the busy spring semester finds me studying on my own. Lisa Harper’s Hebrews.

We have several groups doing the study “Stronger” by Angela Thomas. Two groups just finished and 2 more groups are on week 2.
I am leading Lisa Harper’s Hebrews, The Nearness of King Jesus at First Baptist Church, Hallsville, Texas on Wednesday nights. I am also participating in a study of James on Sunday nights in a home group. Our SS class is using Lead Me Holy Spirit by Stormie Omartian as our lesson book. It’s a very busy year for me.
Hi, I recently moved from Pa. to Ocean City, Md. While visiting the Tabernacle replica in Lancaster, Pa. I picked up a work book called “Life Principles for Worship From the Tabernacle” by Wayne Barber, Eddie Rasnake, & Richard Shepherd. While doing the study I would watch a DVD from Beth’s “A Woman’s Heart.” The Lord blessed and when I finished some pages in the work book the video I watched paralleled my study. I have learned so much more studying the tabernacle again and realizing how much God wants to tabernacle with us now! Thank you Beth for your service and those who work with you.
I just started James: Mercy Triumphs with the ladies Bible study group at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Cordele, GA.
I am doing Gideon by Pricilla Shirer followed by Beth’s Sacred Secrets. We are a ladies group in Round Rock, Texas of about 55 fabulous women! I am one of the small group leaders and blessed to have the opportunity to know The Lord better.
I have just started going back to church after an 8 year hiatus, and joined the Alpha Group. We have had our first session and it was great. I want to learn how to read, understand and consume the Bible and I think this is the way to go. May the Grace of God be with you all.
Joy Sisters of Magnolia Texas are GETTIN’ GIDDY about GIDEON! We start next week and can’t wait! ๐
Leading Sacral Secrets, there are 7 of us and we meet on Tuesday nights at our church Grace Community in Fremont Ohio. Maybe I should have said 9 because my granddaughters(ages 13 and 8 have also watched the sessions). “Oh God, let us be a generation that seeks Thy face, O God of Jacob.”
Just started Priscilla Shirer’s JONAH study. This is the first one of hers that I have done – excited!
Bloomington, IL
I am facilitating Beth’s David-A Heart Like His for a small group of 7. We meet on Wednesday night at our church and occasionally in my home. This is our second time of doing this study, this time using the second release.
Currently doing “The Promised One” by Nancy Guthrie, and am planning on working through her whole series on “Seeing Jesus in the OT.” The two words God gave me for this year are “Gospel” and “Grace”.. He is already BLOWING my mind. I’m calling it the “Feast of Grace Year.” WHAT a feast it has already been.
Also I’ll be helping out with our church’s ladies study, which begins again on Valentines, digging into Priscilla Shirer’s “Gideon.” I studied that with a couple of close girlfriends some months ago and it was incredible. Excited to dig into it again with the ladies from church!
We have a community-wide ladies Bible study every Wednesday morning atFayette First Baptist Church (Fayette, Alabama). This semester, we aredoingMary Jo Sharp’s “Why Do You Believe That” starting Feb 5th.Will have about 35 ladies from all over the community. Our pastor is leading us through the New Testament this year, preaching on a passage from our weekly readings each Sunday and teaching on another passage on Sunday nights.
Sandra Rountree in Swainsboro, GA
Currently I am studying James Macdonald’s Authentic with a large group at First Baptist in Swainsboro. We will meet for the second time on Tuesday. There are all ages and both men and women. Authentic is a good study on becoming an authentic Christian. Exciting things are happening in our church with a new pastor.
I am also one of five teachers in a Ladies Bible Study which began twelve years ago studying different books of the Bible in depth. We are studying Ecclesiastes now.
I have read the Bible through in other years and have read it through from a Chronological Bible four times.
I decided to not read it through this year so I could dip into some devotional books that have day by day entries.
One of those is Beth’s Believing God Day by Day which I got free on my Kindle. Thanks, Beth.
Our church uses the Life Journal program to go through the bible each year. 2014 I switched it up and am reading the Message version. It has revitalized my time in the word! I am in a group bible study of 25 people, men and women. We are working through Wayne Cordiero’s new book JESUS: Plain and Simple. It is powerful and full of application for my walk with Jesus! Don’t let Satan make it complicated, get rid of the distractions. Plain and Simple!
Our ladies Bible study group is doing Joyce Meyer’s “Battlefield of the Mind”. This is unusual for us as we are always doing a Beth Moore study and have done almost all of them in the 9 years we have been meeting but we are being Blessed by this study.
Tina from Chesapeake, VA – After TWO weeks of snow delays (unheard of in our town!) we will begin Malachi by Lisa Harper this coming Tuesday. Praying for Beth!!
Amanda, Chandler AZ
I’m attending a Bible study called Jesus, Israel & Prophecy at Scottsdale Bible Church. It’s a continuation from last fall and we’re studying the life of Christ. Last week’s lesson was on Jesus’s messianic miracles.
My husband and I read through the Bible last year using a Chronological reading plan and we were so blessed! It was so life giving and encouraging! It was my first time reading through the Bible chronologically and it was fascinating! I would strongly encourage everyone to read the Bible chronologically at least once in there life!
Barbara Head, Tomball, TX Currently I am doing one of Kelly Minter’s “Living Room Series” RUTH. It can be done solo. It has no DVD’s, just a workbook! I am so intrigued by Ruth and am enjoying delving deeply into this most fascinating book. Who of us doesn’t need a Redeemer??
I am leading a Bible study in my home in Gadsden, Alabama with about 9 ladies attending. We are doing Angela Thomas’ “Stronger” and it has been a real blessing! She talks about how fitting it was that God allowed someone who was going through the weakest season of her life to write a study about being stronger. Well, we feel like this study was God-ordained for this season in our lives.
Just this morning I started Beth’s “A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place” study. Oh! how I need to be loved by Him, to feel His love again, because I am so lost right now.
Bekah | Charlotte, NC | My church LifeGroup is about to start Beth’s “Breaking Free” study…can’t wait! I’m also doing Bruce Wilkinson’s “Your Daily Walk” devotional to read through the Bible in a year. It has a daily lesson or two from Bruce to drive the point home from that day’s reading. I’m sure it will come in handy when I hit Numbers! ;o)
Van, TX, I am leading a group through Beth’s Believing God.
Pam in Central Texas
As a professional educator and personal advocate and life long learner of the Word of God, I have committed to review and study a textbook written for high school students in Texas: The Bible and Its Influence. Published by BLP Publishing it was written to share the enormous influence of the Bible in our daily lives. The textbook provides an opportunity to share the contents of the Bible with students, in an appropriate, honest, and direct way in a school class. Of course, the Bible is the primary text. An awesome learning opportunity, though I am doing this solo.
Traci F. Sparks, Nevada

We are studying the Book of Romans for the entire school year with Community Bible Study (CBS) and I am a Core Group leader. It has been an amazing an transforming study. Love doing Beth study’s anytime I can. Blessings to all who are in His Word!
