Good Thursday morning, ladies!
We pray all is well with you and yours this day.
Originally, we had the thought to post this on Monday, but then the big Winter Storm of 2014 blew in and kind of threw our system off kilter. We ended up posting information about Bible study instead, and the next day we hunkered down at our respective homes while the ice and snow barely reached the ground on Tuesday. Needless to say, things unexpected and unplanned for ended up swirling and here we are and it’s Thursday and I was not going to let this post go to waste.
If she comes to mind, you wouldn’t waste a prayer on Beth, or any of her family or LPM as she is preparing simultaneously for multiple teaching opportunities. Ones that have been on the calendar for well over a year, but the time is now so she’s neck deep in preparartion. I know I don’t have to tell you that she is one of the hardest workers I know which in return blesses us. We’re so grateful for your prayers and support. We love y’all so much.
So, onto Bible study! We usually don’t wait until nearly the end of January to hear from you about Bible study, but it’s better late than never, right?
Inquiring minds want to know, what Bible study are you digging into this semester? As we’ve mentioned here a few times, we just launched our Tuesday night Bible study titled: Breath: The Life of God in Us, but we want to know what you are up to?
How about we do this, tell us your name, your city and your Bible study of choice and if you’re going at it solo or with a group or leading or attending. There are countless studies out there today, so do not feel one ounce of pressure (and please do not hear us saying) that we only want to know if you’re doing a “Beth Moore” Bible study. It is our joy to hear all the different authors you are studying under!
We even want to hear from you if what you’re committed to this semester, or this year, is reading through the Bible in one year. That’s big, B I G, and we want to cheer you on and walk alongside you. Sometimes we’re not committed to something until we speak it out loud or write it down for someone else to see. A little accountability never hurt anyone!
To make it fun, I’ll go ahead and post my answer in the comments! I miss doing that!
This is short and sweet but we’ll look forward to hearing from you!
Beth Moore’s Stepping Up
As part of woman’s ministry at CCV-San Dimas, Ca
1st time for me and truly enjoying it and looking foward to others!
White hall Ar we are in the middle of Stronger by Angela Thomas and as soon as we are finished this one we will go into Wisdom for Mothers by Denise Glenn.
Sandy – from Chesapeake, Virginia. I will be leading (please pray – for I have not done this before) “JAMES”…We here at Alexander Baptist Church are so excited to be starting this series at the end of February. My prayers are that the ladies that I have asked to come along side me to help facilitate the class will agree. My prayers are also for the hearts of the ladies who sign up. So often, we women sign up – come to one or two sessions and then drop out because we (me included) are behind in our “homework” !! I hope I will be able to impress upon them the different levels of participation as outlined. Thank you for being such wonderful cheerleaders. I feel as if I am part of the staff when reading the blogs, etc. Many hugs and love to all.
Tuesday nights “Power of Knowing God” Kay Arthur- women’s group.
Friday nights Chip Ingram “R12 True Spirituality”–Coed group
I’m in an amazing study this semester with 9 precious friends. This us our 4 study together! We are studying Beth Moore’s DANIEL! Ahhhhmazing! We read “My One Word” the first two weeks and watched the video series. We plan to commit to this framework of a ” New Years resolution” and be laser focused on God’s power to change us from the inside out!
Our first video and weeks study for Daniel is this Tuesday and I can hardly wait! A friend and I read the first 3 chapters outloud and discussed Daniel yesterday! We even took the chapter test in the back of the workbook!!! Can’t wait to see what everyone is studying this spring!!! My daughter is attending the BREATHE study in Houston! She’s loving it!!!
I am hosting an evening study in my home and we are doing Beth’s “Esther, It’s Tough Being A Woman”. Just got started and loving it.

I’m doing “Gripped by the Greatness of God” written by James MacDonald with a group for about 25 ladies. It’s been a great study so far, and I love the small group discussions we have before and after watching the DVD message. He also shares how the lessons he is teaching “happened to him” (that’s the name of the section), which have been really moving and powerful.
I am co-leading Priscilla Shirer’s “Gideon” study with my close friend. We have a total of 17 ladies coming to our small town of Hancock. We are in rural MN and are blown away by what God is doing! This is my first time leading a study and after two weeks, I am already learning so much. We are extending the study to 14 weeks to get more discussion time on the homework. It is exciting to hear all the studies going on all across the US!
Selina from Lynden, Washington. Our entire church is going through the “Reader’s Guide To The Bible”, which is reading the Bible in a year, chronologically. We meet in our small groups every week for discussion (men’s & women’s groups)! This is a very exciting time!
Our ladies Bible study in Brenham, Tx has just completed Session 2 of “The Law of Love”. How wonderful to be back in our studies after the holidays and to be full throttle in the Book of Deuteronomy. Our amazing group numbers about 25. Thank you for all the work you do at LPM to keep the studies coming.
I am doing a book study of sorts with a group of women from my church. The book is called A Woman’s High Calling by Elizabeth George. Also, I want to finish Breaking Free. I started the older version, then the newer version came out and I started it in 2012, but I never finished it. I want to finish it this year. Have a blessed day today, Lindsee:)
Oops, forgot to say whereI am from, Knoxville, TN:)
We just started Gideon by P. Shirer and did the intro video before the snow hit. It has a powerful beginning including the work sessions.I like her Digging Deeper sections that explain things I probably would not know to ask. I missed A Heart like His and Jesus the One and Only when they were done due to my work schedule at the time. Hopefully the Wed. night Bible class will redo one or both of them. It has been several years and I know others who attend now and have not done them either.
Can’t wait to hear about the taping in Dallas last night
and this morning.
Crazy Love, by Frances Chan. With a group at Living Hope Covenant in Colorado Springs.
Our Women’s Sunday School class in Holland, Ohio is going through Jesus, the One and Only and we’re loving it! We recently finished Gideon by Priscilla Shirer and before that, One in A Million by Priscilla Shirer.
Asheville NC Ladies Group reading the New Testament throughout 2014.
Leading “Cookies on the Lower Shelf Part 2” at Hope Church, Mason, Ohio.
I’m leading a group of ladies, which is called Pleasant Sisters, from Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Tobaccoville, NC. We started the revised A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place 3 weeks ago. We are loving this study and even though I did it several years ago, I am amazed at what I guess I missed!!!:)
Also I go to a safe house by the name of Solus Christus(In Christ Alone) on Wednesday mornings and lead them in Believing God. These ladies are not able to do the homework but are so blessed by the videos of Believing God. So blessed to have the privilege of helping these ladies to know they can Believe God, not just believe in him as they prepare to go to rehab. Blessings to Living Proof and thank you to Beth for allowing God to use you to help us learn his word. Thank you!!!

Surrendering the Secret by Pat Layton, leading group at my home.
The Patriarchs bt Beth. I now live in Buda, TX but study long distance with a group from Conroe, TX.
Right now I’m actually leading a study using my new book, “Seeing God Through The Storm.” It’s a study of empowering truths we can learn from Job’s story to help us in our own trials. After years of living with chronic illness and isolation, it’s been such a blessing to meet with other ladies and be able to share truths God has taught me. Yeah God! =) We have six weeks left, then I think we’ll be using Chip Ingram’s study on Romans 12.
I just moved from CA to Houston in October. I never would have dreamed that I’d be living here & be able to attend Tuesday nights. I’m floored at the blessing of joining “Breath” this semester. And I’m praying for all of LPM every week. I can’t imagine how much work goes into all you do, how much Studying Beth does, And time Melissa spends researching….
Deeply thankful for you all.
On Feb. 12th, a group of about 65 women at The Crossing Church; Columbia, MO, will begin Sacred Secrets. Jan and I are co-facilitating. You would not waste a prayer on us as we lead this new and unique study. I have watched the first 2 video segments….Lord have mercy! We are trusting and believing God is going to do a work in all our lives during this study! Thank you Beth for your faithful service to our Savior….ALL glory belongs to Him!!
I am in a Tuesday morning home study in my neighborhood with about 18 women. We are doing To Live is Christ by Beth Moore. We all love her studies and feel we almost know her because we have done most of her studies. We love her humor but also the way she gets us thinking about things in ways that we haven’t before. We have done a few other studies by different authors. Our last study was Covenant by Kay Arthur. Wonderful! Thank you all for your faithfulness!
I am in the middle to end of To Live Is Christ…Beth and I am in the process of writing a bible study for survivors of PTSD. I had full intentions to start Hebrews by Lisa and Gideon by Priscilla, but they have been harder and harder to get into. I will do them this year, however…for sure!
Love and prayers for Beth, her family and everyone at LPM!

My women’s bible study at church is doing Traveling Light by Max Lucado.
Solo I decided to do Discerning God’s Voice by Priscilla Shirer. For a variety of reasons, I am doing Beth’s study of David along side.
Living Beyond Yourself was the first bible study I did after my Father passed away and it changed my life, now today I am doing it with my daughter in law and her friend. I also am doing the book of Joshua in Precepts. I like this because it makes you dig in the bible and come up with the answer yourself. The Lord has allowed me to have a bible study in my house with four wonderful ladies and we all love the Beth Moore studies. I so often think how fun it would be if she could sit in with us and pray and share, maybe someday when we are all together in our wonderful home that God is preparing. I know now that for me to live is Christ to die is gain. Thank you Beth Moore for showing me this. God bless you for helping us all grow in our precious Father.
I am doing the “Beth Moore David” study with a group of amazing women.
Joyce, Big River, Saskatchewan, Canada: Currently doing Whispers of Hope, by Beth, in my devotions and reading through the Bible in a year….got some catching up to do though…;)

Leading and studying “Brave” by Angela Thomas with a group of 75 on Thursday morning – God is speaking to me about living under the Son but ABOVE the sun and allowing God to infuse me with His strength. We planned to follow this 7 wk study with Walk by Faith by Jennifer Rothchild but God closed the door as the books are being revised. He’s led us to Gideon by Priscilla Shirer which we’ll begin March 6
Such a privilege to lead and see what God is doing to transform lives and also to participate and allow Him to do a work in my own ๐
I left comment last week studying Sacred Secrets. . On page 63 Beth shares a fun fact about Superman. I see that Kryptonite crippled Superman like concealing/staying in darkness cripples us! Thanks Beth, for including fun fact and allowing God is to lead me to the water to drink of hidden in truth.
“Stepping Up – A Journey through the Psalms” by Beth Moore. I am leading this study through my church on Thursday mornings. Our group of women are actually called the “Beth Moore” group. We have 30 lovely ladies in this group. It is our 10th Beth Moore study!! That is something to celebrate!
