Good Thursday morning, ladies!
We pray all is well with you and yours this day.
Originally, we had the thought to post this on Monday, but then the big Winter Storm of 2014 blew in and kind of threw our system off kilter. We ended up posting information about Bible study instead, and the next day we hunkered down at our respective homes while the ice and snow barely reached the ground on Tuesday. Needless to say, things unexpected and unplanned for ended up swirling and here we are and it’s Thursday and I was not going to let this post go to waste.
If she comes to mind, you wouldn’t waste a prayer on Beth, or any of her family or LPM as she is preparing simultaneously for multiple teaching opportunities. Ones that have been on the calendar for well over a year, but the time is now so she’s neck deep in preparartion. I know I don’t have to tell you that she is one of the hardest workers I know which in return blesses us. We’re so grateful for your prayers and support. We love y’all so much.
So, onto Bible study! We usually don’t wait until nearly the end of January to hear from you about Bible study, but it’s better late than never, right?
Inquiring minds want to know, what Bible study are you digging into this semester? As we’ve mentioned here a few times, we just launched our Tuesday night Bible study titled: Breath: The Life of God in Us, but we want to know what you are up to?
How about we do this, tell us your name, your city and your Bible study of choice and if you’re going at it solo or with a group or leading or attending. There are countless studies out there today, so do not feel one ounce of pressure (and please do not hear us saying) that we only want to know if you’re doing a “Beth Moore” Bible study. It is our joy to hear all the different authors you are studying under!
We even want to hear from you if what you’re committed to this semester, or this year, is reading through the Bible in one year. That’s big, B I G, and we want to cheer you on and walk alongside you. Sometimes we’re not committed to something until we speak it out loud or write it down for someone else to see. A little accountability never hurt anyone!
To make it fun, I’ll go ahead and post my answer in the comments! I miss doing that!
This is short and sweet but we’ll look forward to hearing from you!
Reading through the bible in one year! ๐
I am leading a group of ladies through Breaking Free. I first did this study on my own, 10 years ago, as a freshman in college. I am loving doing the study with other women. Leading it has been challenging but I am honored to be able to facilitate and guide us through this study.
10 years later, I am learning SO MUCH and the material is really hitting home. SO THANKFUL!
Michele ~ Kenosha, WI Going through Stepping UP with a friend
and reading through Tim Keller’s Walking with God through Pain and Suffering.
Would FOR SURE appreciate prayer :0) Love Ya, Siestas!
Break Dance, A Study in Nehemiah by Cindy Molder at Grace Community Church, Bartlesville OK
I’m coming off of a few difficult years and I’m ashamed to say that I’ve not been faithful in spending time with The Lord. I started reading Believing God. I’m not even halfway and I’ve been so blessed. I’ve shared some of it with our teenage daughter. I’m tired of living the mediocre life! I want all that God has to offer! God Bless your ministry.
Andrea Runyon, leading, Sacred Secrets by Beth beginning Feb. 12 at The Height Baptist Church in Colonial Heights VA. So excited to start Bible study back up again after the holiday break!!!
Excited to start JAMES: Mercy Triumphs with a group of ladies at church next week (usually about 40 of us).
Can’t wait to get back together with our ladies!
Leading Kelly Minter’s “No Other Gods” study with some college aged girls. And participating in our women’s ministry’s chronological study. I’m also following a reading plan to read through in 2014!
Becky, I haven’t done this study, but I have read the book. I must say it is awesome! Good luck with it!
Doing Beth Moore David study and Made to Crave.
A while back y’all had a blog post about finishing what we had started…. Well, I have several Bible Studies that I want to FINISH! These include Jennifer Kennedy Dean’s study on Prayer, Priscilla’s study on Jonah, and James. I only have 1 week left in James, and I can’t believe I have not finished it yet. I’m going solo on these, which is probably a big reason why I don’t get them completed in a timely manner. Ahem.
My husband bought me a book for Christmas titled “Ten Things Jesus Did Not Say, and Why You Should Quit Believing Them”. It’s not a Bible Study, but that’s what I want to read and work through after I’m done with the unfinished Bible Studies.
Much love and Hugs,
Adrienne
I am finishing up Gideon (talk about setting me on fire!) on my own. I am in the last week!
I will be joining a group next month to do Miss Beth’s Sacred Secrets.
Our church family is doing 40 days in the word by Rick Warren and we are doing it as a family too.
God has really put me in the middle of His word like no other time I can remember!
I am in a small group and we just started the Discovery Guide Life & Ministry of the Messiah by Ray Vander Laan. Typically we do a Beth Moore study in the spring and an alternate study in the fall!
My ladies Bible study group is doing “Malachi” by Lisa Harper! She is an engaging speaker and for being such a short book, there is much to study and learn!
Ooooh, this is one I definitely want to do. I’ve seen some excerpts from the videos and it’s on my list!
Leah, Ontario, Canada
Doing Lisa Harper’s Malachi on my own.
But also working through Beth’s Believing God study with a group ๐
Oh! Lindsee!
I see what you guys are fighting there! Now you know how us northerners are always resorting to plan B all winter because we can not ever say for sure about the weather!
What we are doing..
Our Tues eve gals are doing “Living in Love with Jesus” Dee B and Kathy T second in the series of In love with Jesus. I am starting in my church, shortly, the one “Your Strong Suit” by a friend of mine Donna Pyle who is also a friend of Beth’s. I got the study ” The Patriarchs” of Beth’s with out the videos (goodness knows I can not afford to buy the videos) So I am going through the workbook on my own. Also am writing several devotions on “The Life of Carrie” this is a fictitous account of a girl/woman named Carrie and her life from young girl to old age in devotions. I hope to have it submitted soon for publication. No through the Bible this year, am thinking for sure chronologically next year on that!!
Love from the North!

Breath: The Life of God in Us with Beth Moore ๐
I am curently involved with the Proverbs 31 Ministries MADE TO CRAVE Bible study. It has been great. We started January 19th. Are you going to let us in on the “Breath, the Life of God in Us” Study? ๐ If I have missed something, please share with me some information. Thank you very much. God continue to bless you richly!

Jennifer T, Fairfax VA (Wash, DC suburbs:
Paul Miller’s “A Praying Life.” (Attending.) It’s taken our Ladies Syudy a bit longer than expected due to weather and building issues canceling our co-op, but the book, discussion guide and our time together have been wonderful!
Group of women who are currently reading Secret of the Vine, but we’ve got Kelly Minter’s The Changing Room in mind for our next study.
Nancy Logan, Pickering, ON Canada – Beth’s “Sacred Secrets” will be starting on Mon. Feb. 10, 2014. I attend with a dedicated group of over 20 siestas who do a Bible Study in the fall and one at this time. The leaders usually change up the material in one or the other, but Beth is our benchmark and wins hands down with most of us for a great Bible study.
I’m doing a verse by verse Abide in Him study that I wrote and published – “A Study of Colossians: An Eternal Mindset,” while continuing to write the lessons for the one we start back next week in Matthew. “A Focus On Christ Through the Book of Matthew.” It has been wonderful gazing at our King through this amazing book! Praying for Beth as she prepares to serve.
Right now there are 3 groups of ladies at my church doing Anne Graham Lotz’s Expecting To See Jesus. This summer we will be doing Lisa Harper’s Hebrews. Then the Beth Moore simultcast in September and the day after starting Beth’s study on I and II Thessolonians. it’s going to be a good year!

-looking forward to starting Beth’s Sacred Secrets next week (had to cancel the last two weeks due to weather)
-working on a Precept study on the gospel of John
They’re all so different from each other, and I’m loving each one, but could use a bit of prayer that I haven’t over-committed in my passion to know Him more. So many wonderful studies and so little time!
Our church is doing Beth Moore’s study on Daniel. I am reading Breaking Free, answering the questions in the back of the book. I really felt the need to do Breaking Free with God alone. really benefiting from both studies.

So happy we live in the Houston area to be able to be blessed by this opportunity!
Lisa, Mauldin, SC.
At Cross Roads Baptist Church we are doing “To Live is Christ” by Beth. We have about 18 women ranging in age from 29 to 82. It is wonderful – they are sharing and getting into God’s Word!!! It took us some time getting used to Beth in one of her earlier Bible Studies – it is a great study on the life of Paul and last week we were all encouraged to be “Ambassador’s of Grace” like Barnabas. What a great Bible Study!!! We are looking forward to doing the new study on Thessalonians in the Fall.

I am taking a group of 20 ladies through “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World,” by Joanna Weaver. It’s a great study and this Martha Meatloaf (me) needs it desperately. We meet on Wednesday evenings throug the school year from August to May (2nd Baptist Church.) Everyone welcome! I love these ladies.
Currently reading through a Bible that I’ve had for a while but never read. It is called a “2 Year Prayer/Bible Reading Plan.” You read through the Old Testament in 2 years, and the New Testament each year. There is a prayer target after the Old Testament passage, and a prayer target after the New Testament passage. I love it.
And I love y’all…so much!
