Good Thursday morning, ladies!
We pray all is well with you and yours this day.
Originally, we had the thought to post this on Monday, but then the big Winter Storm of 2014 blew in and kind of threw our system off kilter. We ended up posting information about Bible study instead, and the next day we hunkered down at our respective homes while the ice and snow barely reached the ground on Tuesday. Needless to say, things unexpected and unplanned for ended up swirling and here we are and it’s Thursday and I was not going to let this post go to waste.
If she comes to mind, you wouldn’t waste a prayer on Beth, or any of her family or LPM as she is preparing simultaneously for multiple teaching opportunities. Ones that have been on the calendar for well over a year, but the time is now so she’s neck deep in preparartion. I know I don’t have to tell you that she is one of the hardest workers I know which in return blesses us. We’re so grateful for your prayers and support. We love y’all so much.
So, onto Bible study! We usually don’t wait until nearly the end of January to hear from you about Bible study, but it’s better late than never, right?
Inquiring minds want to know, what Bible study are you digging into this semester? As we’ve mentioned here a few times, we just launched our Tuesday night Bible study titled: Breath: The Life of God in Us, but we want to know what you are up to?
How about we do this, tell us your name, your city and your Bible study of choice and if you’re going at it solo or with a group or leading or attending. There are countless studies out there today, so do not feel one ounce of pressure (and please do not hear us saying) that we only want to know if you’re doing a “Beth Moore” Bible study. It is our joy to hear all the different authors you are studying under!
We even want to hear from you if what you’re committed to this semester, or this year, is reading through the Bible in one year. That’s big, B I G, and we want to cheer you on and walk alongside you. Sometimes we’re not committed to something until we speak it out loud or write it down for someone else to see. A little accountability never hurt anyone!
To make it fun, I’ll go ahead and post my answer in the comments! I miss doing that!
This is short and sweet but we’ll look forward to hearing from you!
A Woman’s Heart: God’s dwelling place by Beth Moore and Nehemiah by Kelly Minter. Very a excited about them both.

Hello from Chadron, Nebraska!
I’ve got two great things going on this year already.
First, I’m working my way through the Bible this year with the Daily Audio Bible
led by Brian Hardin. Y’all should check it out!
Second, our women’s bible study group just started the “One Thousand Gifts”
study by Ann Voskamp.
Feeling truly blessed for sure!
I just finished reading “Believing God” by Beth (awesome!). Next up is “”Epic Grace” by Kurt Bubna.
Continue to use “Praying God’s Word” by Beth quite often (thank you for this book)….currently reading through the New Testament….and just joined a women’s group through (in)courage
Sermon on the mount. It is through Discoveries bible study. I love digging into the word with my coffee break ladies. I have taken on the task this year to memorize it, too. With God’s help, Sisters!
I just finished attending a study of Beth’s Sacred Secrets. My sweet ones- secrets do manifest. I agree with the statement, “sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.” Learning that God confides in those who revere Him. I am trying to spend more time in my secret place with Him. Thank you Beth for speaking the Words of God to us through this study. Another lady & I will be leading Kelly Minter’s study of Nehemiah starting next week. Excited to see Nehemiah’s leadership, prayer life, and overcoming discouragement as he directed to rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem. And how we should have a heart that can break.
God bless all of you at LP.
Doing Kay Arthur “Lord I Want T Know You” on my own and on Feb 12 I will be hosted a group to do Beth’s The Inheritance. Coming to you from Oklahoma City!
In Princess Anne, MD, I am leading a small group of ladies through the book of John by Max Lucdo. We are a diverse group. Gramdmas, early 20 somethings, new mommies and one almost new. I love the way we can all learn together and the insight we all bring!
Laura Proctor, Madison, MS

Each month this year I’m planning to read through Psalms and Proverbs using David Jeremiah’s excellent resource, The Focused Life. So far it’s been both encouraging and convicting.

this semester our group is going through beth’s “Jesus, one and only” study and i’m so excited!
also, my church (the aforementioned study is actually held at the church my family *used* to go to, haha:)) started its own Bible study on wednesday, january 8, and we’re studying the life of joseph right now. again, it’s just so. good.
annnnnd (not trying to sound extra-spiritual or anything here, God has just been blessing me abundantly with extra time and opportunities to get to know Him and His Word better, and i’m SO thankful for each one!) a sweet, out-of-state friend and i are starting a one-on-one Bible study together; we’ve been studying the book of james and when we finish that, we’re going to study one of my favorite books, “victory over the darkness,” by neil t. anderson. when i went through this book last year with a couple of friends it really helped to change my heart and my outlook on life in so many ways, and i think it will really help my friend now, who is young in the faith, to get off to a wonderful start!
^^^^if y’all think of it, please pray for me as i am mentoring and guiding her into a deeper relationship with Christ!! i’m so excited about this, but i’m completely new at this mentoring thing – so far i’ve always been the one being taught/mentored – and i need all the prayer and help i can get! π
I forgot my city. It is Rogersville, TN
We are doing the bible study on Jonah by Priscilla Shirer,at our church (Lakewood United Methodist).
It is really wonderful and “eye” opener how being disobedient to God leads to so many troubles!!!!
On Thursday evenings 25 women are meeting to study “David’ Seeking a heart Like His” by Beth Moore. Tonight was our second week and several of us said, “I can’t get enough!” We love it and are praying that we would be women with a tenderness and strength this next week. I am so thankful that I followed God’s nudge to offer this study. Thank you, thank you!
Personally, I am going thru Rick Renner’s, Sparkling Gems. For the 3rd yr in a row. He takes one scripture from the New Testament a day and breaks it down in the Greek! Totally incredible!!! I’ve learned sooo much!
In our church setting, we are about to start, Made To Crave! Can’t wait! π
Susan, Corinth, Tx
We have a group of 6 ladies in a home group and are doing “The Patriarchs”. This is the first study I did when I started with Beth about 8 years ago. We have one more lesson left and then we hope to start “James”. Thanks Beth for all the hard work you do for us and to glorify our Father.
I am part of the ABQ Siestas and we are working through A Woman’s Heart. Imagine my surprise when we started watching the video for week 5 and Beth starts talking about her grandson that was just born! My grandson had been born that week as well! I felt quite a kinship for that week’s lesson (more so than usual! LOL).
I have been working on reading through the entire Bible from the beginning (with cross references whenever led) for over two years now, but with no timeframe for completion. I have tried numerous times before but never made it through Leviticus or Numbers, and without the time pressure, I have enjoyed making lots of margin notes, underlining, looking up in my interlinear Bibles (original Hebrew/Greek) and multiple translations for things I do not understand. I am now in 2 Samuel and have thoroughly enjoyed what I have been getting from God each time I can sit and study, whether for just a few moments or an hour. I have a 4th grader and a Kindergardener (ok and a husband π and share with them all sorts of things that I come across that I am reminded of, as well as fresh understanding that strikes me in a totally new and different angle. All the best!
Hugs, Sandy

Our small group of five ladies are doing “Jesus the One and Only”. We live in Grants Pass, OR. We purchased the whole kit with the DVDs and we take one full year to do each study. We take turns having the study at each others home and always begin with lunch and sharing. We are almost finished with Week one which took us four week. We meet once a week and it’s a blessed time! We did the study of David last year and it was wonderful. We are overwhelmed already with Beth’s Jesus study.
