I know this is so random but I love…

Hey, Darling Things!

I am under the books, studying for our Living Proof Live in Baltimore, MD this weekend. (And if you’re going, I can’t wait to see you and to see what God has a mind to show us. The rest of you please pray for us and we will be the far better for your intercession.) I came to a point in my preparation that I needed to look up a map and my heart did this ridiculous little jump. Why? Because I was about to reach for my Bible atlas…and I love my Bible atlas. I could honestly use it for a coffee table book and thumb through it every afternoon while I drink hot tea and have a Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookie. (Of course, I’m hardly ever at my coffee table in the afternoon, nor do I often get to just sit and drink hot tea and eat cookies, but IF I DID, and if I had neither daughter to amuse me, I’d do all of those things with my Bible atlas.) I don’t know how to explain it. I just love it.

Here it is. I’m smiling as I look at it.

I love things like maps and charts. They bring some organization to the chaotic mind of BTSPTB.

Random, huh? Well, that’s when I thought of you. I thought it would be fun to hear you complete this sentence today:

I know this is so random but I love…

What, Girlfriend? What random, not-hyper-serious thing do you love that maybe a ton of people wouldn’t necessarily love with you? Do tell!

This is so random but I love the site of cows and heifers running through spring pastures after a long winter in the barn. Their tails standing straight in the air as they gallop/run/lope/jump/kick in the fresh, spring air. I know crazy, huh, but you asked! 🙂

Now you REALLY have me missing our little farm we used to own. I love the smell of the barn and just being near the horses, goats, chickens, and cows. It’s a sweet life. (Last weekend saw us adding a “chicken tractor” to the backyard as we inherited 4 laying hens! Turns out we can have 6 in town~~woo-hoo!)

I know this is random but I love Sunday afternoons when the house is clean, grass has been mowed, cars are fueled, groceries have been bought and there are no papers lying around waiting to be filed. I can relax, watch football and nap with my husband and cat. That, my friends, is the life

    Hi Beth!!
You were just on my heart earlier this morning and I was praying for you.
I am thinking about trying to come to the Baltimore event, and maybe visit some Siestas in Virginia! Not sure yet if it will work out.

And I am now also BTSPTB because my niece got distracted. “Oh, you were done 15 minutes ago!” #itsallgood

“A” Milano cookie? Like just one? Really?

I know this is so random but I love…

Oh Marina, I was so happy to see your response! Every single day of the week I leave an hour earlier than necessary for work and take the long way. I love this time alone in my car along the back roads with God!

Random, but I love flavored seltzer water! I know a lot of people who can’t stand it, but I’m in the middle of training for a race and I’m not allowing myself any soda/lemonade/beverage with calories (aside from skim milk and a morning small glass of OJ), and since there’s no calories, sodium, or sweetener in seltzer it’s the one thing I’m allowing myself that tastes and feels closest to a splurge. Lime and berry are my current faves.

    • 17.1
      Donna says:

I love seltzer water. For me lime is the best. I love bubbles and fizz and that scrubbing feeling on your throat. There is nothing more thirst quenching than a seltzer, not even a regular soda. But then nothing can replace regular soda with pizza.

I love a Starbucks fresh, pour-over, an Italian Roast like only the best people at Starbucks can do! I love getting to just hear by daughters voices by phone (they live in another city/state ’cause they are my heart!

I like to read recipes. I just read them, I don’t really make them. I just read through and think about the interesting compinations. This was something that I learned from my Dad. When I was in college we would talk on the phone and read recipes to each other. It was a way for us to connect.

This is so random…but I love when I roll over in bed and find that my darling husband next to me. Crazy we are on different shifts but God has done amazing things with that since you were here in Salt Lake. I know that has to do with you praying for us as well as my prayer warrior Mom.

I know this is random but I love new socks! I just love the way a new pair of socks feels…and I love it when I open my Bible doing my Beth Moore homework and see that the verses I am looking up already underlined! It means God is using His Word to teach me something new. 🙂

Jessica, I love this idea of God teaching us something new! I do love turning to a Scripture that is underlined but I never thought about why. Thanks for sharing!

I know this is so random, but I love… to go for walks on rainy days because it make everything smell green and new. The sound of the rain on the hood of my jacket or umbrella always seems to soothe me. It seems that when I walk on a rainy day, I feel especially alone with God.

I know this us so random AND I can’t believe I’m going to admit this but any kind of clog in a drain causes my heart to jump. True story! I an the person who delights in snagging hair from the tub draun. The longer, the better… (Ewwwwww! and yet ahhhhhhh!!!!) The satisfaction of getting that before it causes major trauma to my plumbing… Delightful!!!

  37. 37

    • 39.2
      Inkiso says:

I love the smell of gasoline too. My daddy was a Standard Oil man…and when he came home each night I would take his big ol leather boots off…and the smell of gasoline and leather filled the air. It’s the sweetest memory everytime I fill my car with gas.

This is so random, but I love picture frames. Have a hard time resisting purchases at our local, glorious Goodwill store. We have “simplified” our life, however, so I don’t have nearly enough room to display them anymore so I just switch them out every so often. These are some fun posts to read. And, Beth, praying for the event this weekend. -joyce

Joining the “Random Club” laughingly, of course, I love reading Christian Poetry, chocolate and hazelnut coffee while sitting on the front porch on a nice autumn day.
    I like writing sometimes also.
Wish I share how I feel in my heart more often, I wrote this yesterday.
Let me draw near to you, O God so much that….I would go through the roof to get to You, I would touch Your garment in a crowd just to be healed, I would use expensive fragrant oil and pour on your head as a memorial and not forget what you have done for me, I would hide up in the sycamore tree just to find you and find your grace, I would listen to you when I thirst at the well and find living water, I would go fishing in a boat and trust you in the storms of life, I would kneel at your feet to worship you, I would follow you no matter the cost, I would give to the poor, feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, I would carry your cross and proclaim the good news, I would obey you…. O God of our faith, help me to live a life pleasing to You and Your service.
