Congratulations!! You did it!!
As we wrap a bow on our SSMT year and prepare for the upcoming Celebration, we want to send along our encouragement to you to continue in this great work. Some of you have already told us you are continuing to memorize on your own, or have even formed your own local teams. We couldn’t be happier to hear it!
Beth and LPM will plan to see you right back here next Jan 2017 to link arms together to hide God’s Word in our hearts. He is worthy!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

This SSMT journey has meant the world to me, as usual. Two years ago, I took part and had no idea how the Lord was going to use the scriptures I memorized to help me. My son was diagnosed with autism during that time and I was able to lean on God’s Word, knowing that He was not surprised by anything. This go round, He has led me to many Scriptures that speak of seeking His face, His healing nature, that He walks through darkness with us. These have been instrumental this year because my husband was just recently and UNEXPECTEDLY deployed. He will be gone for 6 months. We have three children and it has been a difficult road for me as I worry about him and as I try to be a good mom to our children but I know that God is faithful and He will carry me through. Thank you Mama Beth, for doing this! I will see you in January! Yippee!!!

This has been a blessing as it has helped me to keep my focus on God’s Word over the last year, instead of what has been going on around me. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devasted; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devasted for generations. Isaiah 61:4 NIV
God has taken me on an incredible freedom journey over these past years. The root of insecurity and rejection was dug up and branches have continued to be pruned and cut. Just recently God revealed to me that my bondage had kept others in captivity. He then proceeded to show me that true freedom comes when you are no longer kept prisoner to someone else’s bondage. Now I am free to love with the love of Christ. I love Him so much!!

SSMT Team & Siestas,
I just want to thank you so much for all of the effort and commitment you put into producing this year’s memory verse project. It has blessed me so much, and I hope my selections likewise blessed others. I so looked forward to those two dates of each month, and the quiet time I spent reading so many Siesta’s memory verses. What a thrill to be part of it all! Praying for God’s blessing on everyone here, and a very merry Christmas! Here goes number 24 (sniff sniff 🙂 -Kim
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV)

First I want to say thank you for allowing us the opportunity to grow in Christ. Beth, your obedience to our Lord goes beyond measure, may you always hold his favor in your heart. Scripture Memory Verses have given me the opportunity to remind me that the Lord is always right by my side. As we all have busy lives we should never forget to take time for our Glorious King. This has been a season where I have learned that no matter what life will bring always stay focused on the fact that he has already gone ahead of us with his plan. To stay at peace and rest fully in him and his word. That to Love as he has Loved us brings forth much fruit in Him. The scales have been removed from my eyes where I now see more clearly in his unending Love for us. Praise his Wonderful Name. May the Lord continue to Bless your ministry always. Much Love in Christ, Belen

Joshua 1:9 ESV “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do no be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
I just randomly chose this Verse just because I thought that this is one I should have memorized. I didn’t realize I would need it so quickly. I was glad to be able to share this with my son who so bravely checked himself into a 28 day drug rehab program for a Meth addiction. He will miss his first Christmas with his new wife and wont get out until Jan. 1st but I am so glad and so was he to remind him that the Lord his God is with him wherever he goes!!
This is the first time I have made it to the end and accomplished my goal. I did it all by myself…meaning I always thought I needed some of my like minded friends to do it with me. I still think it would have been fun to share and talk about it with a friend or two here locally, but no one has stuck with it. But this is the 3rd time I tried to stick with it and I made it this time!! I accomplished the goal of memorizing 24 Verses!! I am so excited because I really was beginning to think that there was something wrong with me when it came to goals that I couldn’t ever stick with them to accomplish anything. I am super encouraged that I was able to do this with my Lord and Saviors help!! One of the things He used to help me is the Remember Me app!! What an awesome tool in this Scripture memory adventure! It was so helpful for me to have all my verses together in one place it was like my digital spiral notebook! It has flash cards for practice and everything! If you don’t know about it you owe it to yourself to check it out!! Thanks Beth for hosting and encouraging us to accomplish this goal!! I hope mine is a magnolia tree!! 🙂

This year has shown me so very many of the world’s needs for the gospel. It has been a challenging year. Many months these verses felt like a difficult thing to do. Last minute. But I also clung to them. God’s word has been the only trustworthy thing so many times this year. This community has been a great encouragement for me. Thanks to you all.

“Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body.
