Update: The comments are now closed! I’ll see you tomorrow morning as we reveal our TEN winners. Have a great day, ladies!
Siestas!
Happy middle-of-the-week to each of you!
It is a beautiful day here in Houston! It’s almost perfect spring weather, which is a compete treat especially compared to the weather we’ve endured recently. It’s either been really hot and humid (shocker!), or really nasty thunderstorms. In fact, yesterday was 100% chance of rain all day and it did just that. The best part about the rainy days at LPM are our shoes; three of us chose to trade in our typical work shoes for rain boots yesterday and it was a cute sight, if I do say so myself. We were giddy. Y’all, it really is the small things. I hope wherever you are, despite your weather or circumstances, you’re able to find delight in something as small as rain boots, silly or small as they may seem.
Anyway, can you believe it’s already been a week since our last giveaway? All of the sudden I realized today was the day to reveal our next fun giveaway so my fingers went to typing. It snuck up on me!
Do y’all remember (and I bet you do because it happened to be a pretty popular post and you also happen to have a sharp memory), when our Siesta Mama asked you to share with each other something really random that you love? That particular day she was gushing over her Bible atlas and felt the urgent need to share with you the joy it brings her. I distinctly remember her telling me she was posting a fun, random blog that day so that I could be watching for comments, and watch for comments I did! Y’all didn’t just come through; y’all went above and beyond with over one thousand comments or something fun like that. We were really tickled! Needless to say, people are passionate about things they love.
To refresh your memory, here is a picture of the Bible atlas.
To make a really long story short (I know, I love words), B&H Publishing Group was really generous and sent us ten Holman Bible Atlases to give away on our blog, just like the one she gushed over! Y’all, how kind was that? So, today not just one, but ten of you will be receiving this amazing Bible atlas.
This is the box of atlases sitting in my office.
For a chance to win here is what you need to do:
1) Make sure your comment has your first and last name.
2) Please comment only one time to give everyone a fair chance.
3) For fun, and you don’t have to do this to win, but it would be really fun to hear, if you could give away one book to anybody, what would it be?
4) Lastly, your comment on this post automatically enters you into this contest. So if you are not interested in winning a Bible atlas, please hold your comments until after the winner is selected. This will help us as we randomly select our winners. Thank you so much!
That’s all ladies! We’ll keep comments open for 24 hours and close the giveaway at 4:00 EST Thursday afternoon.
Also, like I’ve stated before, Australia is 16 hours ahead of Houston time, so when Beth and Amanda wake up it’ll be time to start the second conference. I know for a fact Beth and the team would covet each of your prayers as they labor with joy to teach God’s Word and share His gospel with this next group of ladies. If you’ve been following them on twitter, it’s been obvious that God has blessed their time there. In fact, I saw that they got to feed kangaroos. How fun is that? I’m with you, though, I can’t wait to hear and read all about it upon their return. Let’s pray they end strong in Jesus name!
Alright, ladies, time to hear from you! Be sure to check back Friday morning as I reveal our winners!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Lisa Glenn
If I could give away only one book, it would definitely be a Jan Karon book — only I couldn’t possibly choose which one!
A large print bible for someone who is vision impaired and can’t read their regular print bible anymore.
Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby helped me so much!
I would give away the daily devotional “Streams in the Desert” by L. B. Cowman. It is a beautiful devotional, originally published in 1925, and an amazing way to start your morning…getting a quick message to begin your day with your heart and mind blessed by a quick word. I’ve already given several away.
Elaine Colligan
Jesus Calling by Sarah Young (a tip I got from the Siesta’s Christmas gift blog). Love it!
This is a super hard post for me…I love to read! Of course the Bible is the book to give away. The two books that have really impacted me are The Sacred Romance by John Eldridge and So Long Insecurity.
I have given away “Jesus Calling” to several people who were in difficult situations at the time – and each one told me how God used this particular book to speak to them in their need. Thank you for this wonderful place to share with others who love the Lord so much! Maureen King
Rosalie Castleberry
I received an ESV Study BIble for Christmas and I am really enjoying that. I think I am too selfish to give it away though. LOL
What a fun give-away…thanks for offering it. If i were to give away one book, it would be Re-Church by Stephen Mansfield – an excellent book.
If i could give a book away to any[& every]one, it would be Waking the Dead: The Glory of A Heart Fully Alive by John Eldredge.
(…but it’d have to be a book pack and include So Long Insecurity by you-know-who & The Bondage Breaker by Neil T. Anderson!) You know, to cover all the bases. 😉
If for some reason i actually do win, then y’all don’t need to pay for the shipping. Just hold it for me until i go home to visit! I’d love to stop by & thank you all personally. 🙂
THANK YOU for having this contest!!!

I would love to give a copy of One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voscamp. And if I were to give a Bible Study it would Be James as our group just finished it and what an impact it had and has on all of us.
I would choose to give away my teen Bible. I should do this!
Jessica Mumford
I totally need that Bible Atlas since I am now in my 2nd seminary class! It would be so helpful!
I love giving away “Radical” by David Platt. God has used this book to change my mind/heart and teach me more about what it means to truly be a follower of Christ, especially in our American culture. I think it is a very important read for American Christians and it has also impacted many unbelievers as well. Love this book and Dr. Platt!
“On the Night You Were Born”.. a beautiful picture book for the little ones!
Debbie Golden
I just gave Jesus Calling to a friend this week so that’s the book I’d give away.
I would love this bible study tool!
And the book that I have given away most often is Streams in the Desert, a great devotional. But I must say, Jesus Calling seems to have created quite the following!
Cheryl Wright The book I would give away is “The Power of Praying for your Adult Children” by Stormie Omartian. I have witnessed miracles this past year in my adult sons life as I have prayed through this for them.
I would give “A Long Obedience In the Same Direction”
“Heaven is for Real”
by Todd Burpo
Diane Watt – I would give away a trillion copies Believing God!
The Power of a praying Wife By Stormie OMartian is a book I have given away to friends (and I have also loaned my copy out countless times – once to a friend who had loaned her copy to someone else and then realized that she really needed it!) I also seem to be sharing Corrie Ten Boom’s The Hiding Place a lot lately – it has opened up some great discussions with friends!
It’s tough to choose only one book. I’d pick either The Shack or Jesus Calling…both wonderful, eye-opening books of encouragement to people seeking to know God better.
Lee Strobel’s “The Case for Christ” had a powerful, powerful impact on me. Actually, his whole series did. Finally, I had proof that you don’t have to be naive to be a Christian. The only conclusion that intelligent, thinking people can come to after a full and comprehensive look at the facts is that Jesus is exactly who He said He was. I have given away several copies and said, “Here, please look at the facts and decide for yourself.”
Would love the atlas!! Too hard to choose one book as a giveaway….they include One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, Redeeming Love by Francisco Rivers and The Jesus Storybook Bible (a must read for all ages)…..thanks for the giveaway! Leanne Cody
I have given away copies of So Long Insecurity and Heaven is for Real this past year. They both meant a lot to those who got them. Love to all your staff who make this blog so great!
I would buy everyone a copy of Andrew Murray’s “Humility” because I’ve never read anything (besides the Bible) so powerful and life changing. 🙂
My Rock…Bible
Complete freedom…Breaking Free

The Complete Chronicles of Narnia
“Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers, but then, II also really love “If You Give A Moose a Muffin.”
I just finished reading “7” by Jen Hatmaker. Prompted some soul searching and desire to share the concept with others.
The one book I love to give away is “The Spirit-Filled Life Bible” NKJV. I love this study Bible. I wore the pages so thin in it in a year they started to fall out! 🙂 Blessings and thank you.
Beautiful in Gods Eyes by Elizabeth George.
Kendall Bicknell
Right this minute, I would give everyone I know the book “7” by Jen Hatmaker. She has really brought it home to me how sucked in by the media we all are and how we can scale down and return to Jesus.
JulieBauguess

Pollyanna
I would love the Holman Bible Atlas! What book would I give away? “Battlefields and Blessings: Stories of Faith and Courage during the Revolutionary War” I love history.
I recently finished Kisses from Katie and was so touched by her faithfulness to follow the Lord that this would be my choice right now. I love to read and could choose from so many life changing books.
“Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” is what I would give today.
I would have to say One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Thanks for a fun giveaway!!
I love 31 Days of Praise by Ruth Myers–I’ve given that as a gift many times and it has been such a blessing in my life.

Poorna Diaz
Indianapolis, IN
I would give away, “The Color of Water.”
What a fun giveaway!
The book I would give away would be the Complete Jewish Bible. It is my most favorite translation and I think is essential to non-Jewish Christians to get a feel for the Jewishness of the bible. And if I couldn’t give that away, I would give away the version that is comparative and contains NIV side by side with CJB. It’s great!
