Ladies! I think a Friday afternoon deserves a celebration. We’ve almost made it through the entire work week! Woo hoo! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me when I say we here at the office are coveting each of the gifts and almost threw a fit when we realized we couldn’t enter the giveaway ourselves. We love fun stuff like this just as much as you do!

DEAR SIESTAS! THE MERE THOUGHT OF YOU IS MAKING ME GO ALL-CAPSY.
It has been FOREVER and then some but I have been thinking about you. I know I haven’t been in this here blog-space much recently but I can assure you that I’m still at LPM. My days are full since I’m working and going to school part-time. AGAIN. Yes, again. Somehow even when I vow to walk away for good, I end up right back in the classroom in some capacity. This time around I’m working slowly on a M.A. in Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University. When I’m not researching something for a project at LPM, I’m taking a Greek class in the Septuagint and a Hebrew readings class in the Joseph narrative. Oh, and how could I forget to mention Winston Jeffrey Fitzpatrick?! A little over a year ago Colin brought home a baby rottweiler and our life has never been the same since (even when I desperately want it to be!). Winnie is SO, SO bad but we love him madly.
Here is W posing in my dining room. Or demanding a filet mignon cooked over medium, I’m not really sure.
Here he is again furious about having to wear his birthday hat:
But really, enough about us.
I want to talk about YOU and a fall giveaway we are doing because we love you and appreciate you.
Now, I should mention at this point that if you are one of those people who is SO OVER all the talk about pumpkin-flavored anything, then you will want to run for your life.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Do I have a faithful fall remnant?
This weekend we had our first legit “cold-front” here in Houston. It was even down in the forties one night. Glory be! The crisp cold air in my lungs got to me in the best way possible and, of all things, I wanted to cook. There’s just something about fall that always brings me back to the kitchen. Nothing better than listening to a little Norah Jones or The Civil Wars with the windows cracked open, cool breeze dancing through the house, while a chili or stew simmers on the stove. I thought just maybe fall might do the same for some of you so the grand prize winner will get a red Le Creuset signature round dutch oven (red not orange like the one on the box).
I love it passionately and do not want to let it go. I even enjoy posing with the beloved dutch oven:
The second prize to be claimed is a $100 gift card to Pottery Barn because, let’s be honest, Pottery Barn during the fall season is heaven on earth:
Gift number 3 includes an amazing decorative pillow, fall flower arrangement, and Hill Country Home candle.
Gift number 4 includes a fun little clutch from Anthro, a scarf, several pairs of boot socks, and some gorgeous MAC makeup in fallish colors.
Here is Lindsee modeling the scarf. Love her and she can work a scarf better than anyone I know:
This MAC stuff is tough to photograph but fantastic (includes three eye shadow kits and two lipsticks in shades of Russian Red and Viva Glam III).
Gift number 5 has a bunch of fun stuff: Cook’s Illustrated Fall Entertaining magazine, kitchen towels, mulling spices, Hill Country Home candle (again this is one of my faves!), autumn cupcake decorating set, beautiful engraved silver dish, Trader Joe’s Pumpkin bread mix, and more.
Gift number 6 comes with a fun autumn welcome mat, potpourri, decorative kitchen towel, and my favorite ever mulled apple cider candle. DIVINE.
Here is Mom sorting out all the gifts. Isn’t she cute?
So dear friend, for a chance to win one of the six prizes, please leave a comment with your first and last name and tell us something you love about fall.
We love you so much,
Melissa

This year the fall leaves vibrant colors here in Utah were a vision of God’s creative genius! Every year I love the smell of the cool nights with the smell smoke in the air from fireplaces warming up homes!
Fall is my favorite season. It’s not too cold yet, but still fully justifies cozy clothes, extra cups of coffee and putting pumpkin pie spice in everything!
I love EVERYTHING about Fall!!! The colors….the sights…the foods…..the pumpkin-spiced lattes……don’t get me started!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Fall ……. a yearly reminder of the fun New England trip I took with some girlfriends years ago. Being city girls, who knew what poison ivy looked like?!!! My girlfriend picked bundles of it to make wreaths when she got home to California. And brought it home in plastic baggies. Need I say more?
Fall calls life back to order. The vacating of Summer is over, the children are back in school, I can wear my favorite sweater, Women’s Ministry launched again with a study of Esther (by you know who), friends who were gone during Summer break have returned, and the earth celebrates this ‘order’ with the most beautiful display of crimsons, golds and reds you ever saw.
I love EVERYTHING about Fall–the cooler weather, Thanksgiving dinner, leaves changing…and Christmas right around the corner 🙂
I love to watch the leaves change color. I love that the weather is not too cold and not too hot, yet just the right temperature to take a nap outside on the porch. I love the smell of pumpkin spice candles and warmed apple cider. I love to pull out my scarves and boots. But most of all I love the fact that this year I get to enjoy all of this with my four month old baby girl, Charlotte Ann! I LOVE fall!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons – I love the changing of the leaves, wearing sweaters, cooking soups and chili, and football!
Megan Williams. I love burning pumpkin pie scented candles, wearing boots, and watching college football with my friends and family
I live in New England so I love the weeks of beautiful leaves, crisp weather, and hiking. It is precious time that can be spent playing outdoors right before the cold winter and snow hit us.
I <3 fall because it goes so well with crock pot meals 🙂
I love fall. I always get this feeling or a longing. It has something to do with young love, football games and Homecoming. It is the feeling of being loved and being “home.” I’m basking in the love of our Lord. Enjoy the day!
Hello everyone! Fall in Venice Florida is truly “Paradise”. We may not have the beautiful change of colors but you have to know that the energy here in fall is fascinating with all our friends returning and the cooler weather, this is something we look forward to all year long! Happy fall to all! In Peace & Joy.
There are so many things I love about fall! The crisp air, the leaves ablaze with glorious color, bonfires with friends, an excuse to drink hot tea again, the opportunity to wear my favorite boots and scarves (I love to layer!)… Probably the best thing about fall to me is when my family starts our “Thankful Wreath” tradition (usually when the leaves start turning). I cut out strips of construction paper (sometimes in the shapes of leaves if I’m feeling ambitious!), and we write down things we’re thankful for at every meal. We read them out loud at Thanksgiving dinner, and it’s always so fun to read what we all have written throughout the months. Between my husband and me, our four little kids, and the constant flow of guests we have, it’s usually quite a pile of blessings to remember.
One of many things I love is having potatoe soup with grilled cheese sandwich, alongside a fire & hot tea! =)
What I love most about fall, is football season with my oldest boy.
“The boys of Fall” by Kenny Chesney, captures the hard work and joy!
I’m a mama crazy for my boys, supporting them in what they love.
My oldest is all about football, it truly fits him like a glove.
We mamas cook like crazy for “men children” and their pre-game meal.
Winning Le Creuset, or anything for that matter, would be quite a deal!
Tomorrow I’m hosting the dinner for the Defensive Backs at my home.
Fuel needed for Saturday’s playoff game, on the gridiron they’ll roam.
Top it all off with a Living Proof Ministries Bible study with Beth Moore.
Thank you LPM for all you do, praying His blessings on “y’all” He will pour.
I love my mom and sister in the fall bc they cook up all kinds of stuff for us. I am hoping to with this for them.
I love the bright golden aspen leaves when they change against the deep green of the evergreens. This year was quite different since many of our evergreens were destroyed by the fire…BUT GOD still gave us some amazing aspens!!
My electricity bill going way down because I don’t have to run my A/C any more! 🙂

Fall has always been my FAVORITE time of year. I love that there is this burst of beauty that doesn’t have to be.
I love fall! My birthday is in October and I always thought this is the best month for a birthday. I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves, pumpkin bread, planting pansies and mums, Friday night football games, camping around an open fire, smores, getting out coats, gloves, and hat, a time of thanksgiving. I time to reflect on how much we have to be thankful for. I sent an email to my Dad about 10 years ago of a list of things what I was thankful. Around this time he sends the list back to me. God is faithful to bless us everyday!
I love Fall! How fun it is to break out the layers of clothing, the scarves and the hats. Fall drinks are so tasty and cozy, if a drink can be cozy! 🙂 !! Chai teas, Pumpkin Spice Lattes…YUM!! I love the rich colors of the foliage and the harvest moon. It is truly a season to be thankful for the many blessings God has given me. Best of all, Fall ushers in the most joyous Season of all…Christmas!!

I love all things pumpkin!! I love the smell in the air when it gets cool. I love having a two years who gets so excited every time she sees a pumpkin, and who loved trick or treating so much that her arms go sore from holding her Halloween bucket.
Fall is my favorite time of year!!
I love the fall weather in Texas because its not too cold but it is cold enough to wear boots! I’ve gotta say I also love everything pumpkin! Pumpkin soup and pumpkin bread especially!
Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year for so many reasons. God’s glory is everywhere in the colors of the trees, the leaves on the ground, the crisp air, the apples on the trees, getting out candles, sweaters, soups, cornbread, pumpkin anything. October through December are THE BEST IMO!!
I love the fall foliage, and especially love decorating my house with lots of fall stuff. Beautiful flowers, pumpkins and some of that fall foliage. Wish I could send you a picture of my front door. I made matching toparies on each side of the door. Sitting on top of my urns are flat bottom white pumpkins, next is flat bottom orange pumpkins with green round ones on top. My sweet daughter and I put fall leaves in between each layer of pumpkins and they looks great:) Have a blessed day with lots of love and hugs!
I love everything about fall, the smells, the colors, the weather and the food. I just love it all!
I love the colorful leaves and the beautiful drive in the country in the fall. I love the apples and cooking apple pie for my family.
I love fall because it feels so FRESH. New beginnings and renewed excitement… school, football, the holidays approaching, and fun clothes and decorations just itching to be pulled down from the top shelf. I adore the colors, flavors, and scents of fall invading every area of my life: my wardrobe, my kitchen, and my home decor specifically.
My name is sarah Mudd an I love that red cups at starbucks come back during fall!!
I love fall for a couple things. Or I should a few things lol. I love seeing the fall colors on trees it’s so pretty. Just seeing how God paints the trees is awesome. I love cold mornings. Makes me want to get a throw blacket and something hot to drink( coffee mostly or hot choclet). And if you have a fire even better. Fall is beautiful all around. Oh! and I love walking and hearing the leaves under my feet. Sounds so cool, don’t ask me why, I am not sure but it brings me joy 🙂
Have a happy fall and happy November. its hard to believe its November already
Love you all at LPM
I love the beautiful colors of leaves in the fall. It’s the number one reason I wanted a fall anniversary! I love the crisp air and being bundled up in long sleeves and fuzzy boots. I love the smell of campfires and making s’mores. I love looking at all the trees on my drive to work. And I love the pumpkin flavored drinks!! In short, I love it all.
I love fall because I enjoy remembering our wedding day and celebrating our anniversary on Oct. 18th! 27 years! Woohoo!
What I love about Fall is the cooler weather and pumpkin bread, coffee, cake, scones, etc…. anything pumpkin!!
I love fall because it is the season Jesus gave me the promise of life. Two years ago this fall my hubby and I learned we were expecting (miracle!), after sending two babies home to Jesus the previous year. This fall my baby boy Crosley (15mths) is AMAZING, healthy & so joyful. To me, fall reminds me just how faithful my Jesus is!
Debbie from Hilliard,Fl—I love fall because we bake cookies (thanks to Pillsbury for per-mixing them for us) together! This past weekend we baked 4 packages (oops I mean dozen) and took them to my 90 year old grandmother to cheer her up. Food, family and fall festivals make sweet memories for years to come!
Apple pie, pumpkin candles and a reminder to be thankful!
I love that it is not too cold and not too hot…just right :).
Rebecca Timmons
Barbara Churchill – yes, Fall is my FAVORITE season! Hard to pick one thing that I love about Fall: I LOVE the beautiful colors that the trees turn – esp the red Maples and I LOVE the smell of the damp fallen leaves (when in Minnesota-in high desert Arizona, there is little “dampness”). I also love the perfect temperatures during the day – not too hot & not too cold – just right – and yes, somehow-crisp air – so satisfying at some level! 🙂 ♥ to all
I love all of fall! The food choices, boots, holidays – the whole deal. We celebrate cuddly clothes on the first night we turn on the heat in the house – everyone gets new pjs! That is my favorite moment and when I really think fall starts.
Alicia Marbury. I love fall because football and BASKETBALL seasons start !!
I love everything about fall…the beautiful leaves changing colors, the crisp air, pumpkin bread, apple cider, scarves…so many things!
Margee Thomas
The colors, the air, the football, and all those soups!
Very excited about your FREEBIES!! The whole feel about Fall, the crisp air, the beautiful leaves, baking (love the baking), family around the Thanksgiving table. Love this season!
Thanks!
I love the crispness of the air, all of the decorations, the fall sweaters and clothes, and best of all the cool weather foods….soups, warm drinks, etc!
Have a wonderful day!
I love having my outdoorsman husband inside with me a little earlier in the evenings (since it gets dark so early), even if it does mean that he is out the door bright and early the next day.
Name: Erin Boling
What I love about fall: PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE!!! That, and it’s the season of thankfulness. And it leads into Christmas, where we celebrate our Savior’s birth. Oh, and the beautiful colors it brings.
Fall….the time of year that my kids can play outside in Texas and not require a bath before bed : ) thankful for that!
Fall is change…colors, temperature, scents! I love the darker colors, much cooler temperatures (I’m still praying for these in College Station!) and there’s something about the smell of a fire in the fireplace, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves! This all reminds me of my beautiful Mama and her homemade Vegetable Beef soup, which I made on the first rainy cool day we had!
I also love Fall for FOOTBALL in Aggieland! It’s been exciting and has brought MANY thousands of NEW, wonderful fans to our town! I love people and hearing their stories and these folks have some great stories! Welcome to our new family!
Does all this have anything to do with the fact that I’m a ‘Fall’ person in the color thing they used to do.?? I do love this time of year, being able to enjoy our backyard with a good book and a Bible Study. Blessing flow!
Fall is my favorite season! I love pumpkin flavored everything and the beautiful fall leaves.
