Hey, Sweet Things! Today is my first official day back to work after the James taping and the first thing I did, after hugging coworkers, was sit down and tape a video greeting to you. It takes a day or two to get it on Vimeo but we’ll have it up here on the blog just as soon as we can. It’s, of course, mostly ridiculous except to us Siestas so rein in your expectations. It’s just me saying hey to you after being away for so long and thanking you for your prayers. But as God would have it, I have another reason to hop on here today. I’ve been waiting for it to come in so that I could tell you about it and we literally just opened the box. Here it is:

YEAH!!!! So good to hear from you and so glad that the James taping went well!!I am so excited to hear about the new workbook and that God allowed this study to be written by our siesta Mama. Had such a wonderful Mother’s day as well. I also received from my sweet husband, who likes to give me things that I really do use, a wonderful pair of rubber boots(black with muti colored polka dots) from Tractor Supply!!! I am so blessed!!
When I called Mama today she kept saying, “Wait a minute! Hold on! I need to turn this video down.”

You never cease to allow God to amaze me through your ministry. I have read SLI twice and cannot wait to see this workbook. I wonder if our group of teachers and school staff will want to go through it this summer. We have a study every summer and all but one have been with you. It is a blessing to all the teachers who don’t have time during the school year to devote to intense study. They put everything into it during the summer.

I’m completely convicted that it’s time for me to read this book. Right before I read your blog, I tweeted that it took me over a week to find an outfit to wear to my daughter’s college graduation this Friday. I’m so self-conscious about how awful I will look compared to the other moms, I’m almost sick about it. How silly it looks to read that in print – time to do something about it!

This is SOOO exciting! Just tonight the small group I’m leading finished the Daniel study – Chapter and week 12!!
That study has been very life altering to many in our small group – and I am not ashamed to say that there was more than just me with tears in my eyes and we got that last wave and ‘I love you guys’ closing remark!!
We are taking your advise and over the summer are going to do a study on Proverbs – but then in September we are starting back…. and maybe this will be perfect timing to consider this one!
I’ve got the book – and decided tonight that i need to crack it open and continue my journey!
Thank you so much, Beth, for sharing not only your love for your God and His word, but also so much of ‘you’ to us. It has meant very much to many – and to me – to know that there are others cheering for us in this journey on earth! Bless you, my friend and Siesta!!!

Beth, I squealed when I read your blog. I was soooo excited about a workbook for SLI. I am one of the siestas that did the study on your blog and I called your office a few weeks after we were done with the book and the simulcast to see if you were planning a bible study workbook on SLI. They told me no and I was crushed. I am so glad that our LORD lead you to do this for us and to honor and glorify HIM. YEA!!!! 🙂 When I did the study on the blog I read and studied it in a way that I could hopefully lead others through the study of Insecurities, but I had hoped for a workbook from you to help me. I always want others to know, learn, and be as excited as I am about things of the LORD. So looks like your obedience is going to make that happen through your SLI workbook. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH Beth. I can not wait to share all I learned in SLI with all my sisters in Christ. I just love you and am so glad we will be neighbors in heaven FOREVER!!! 🙂

Oh congrats!! I thought, for just a slight second, that you were on safari (what with your semi-zebra-ish-super-cool top) and that…..hmmmm……what is that behind you? It looked kind of sub-Sahara to me, and then the title of the book – it all just struck me as funny – like you were ready for a Big Game Safari – and you weren’t gonna be insecure about it. I’m pretty darn sure we could market that picture on some of the hunting programs my husband watches and men would buy the book for their wives thinking it will calm their nerves about being around monster-sized critters.

I’m pretty sure I’m one of the older “siestas” in this community but I want to say young or old, it doesn’t matter-we are all one big group of girlfriends believing one big God! Like Madelin said in her post, there is no explaining the community feeling of a large group of women who (mostly) have never met-now if that’s not a God thing I don’t know what is. And now to have you, Beth, dedicate a book to us, well that’s really unexplainable! It’s like Diana A. posted, we are only a small part of the work of the Holy Spirit as He leads and teaches you, but for that we are eternally grateful!! Looking forward to maybe doing this as a summer study-God’s blessings to all!

I saw you and I threw my arms around you and said “I can boast in what Jesus has done in you.” I enjoy boasting about that, because, I am receiving the overflow! I attended my first Beth Moore event in Little Rock, AR in April and I just cannot contain myself. I love that my girlfriends and strangers feel drawn to talk to me and seek advice from me. I am only 26 years old, still wet behind the ears, but I love this type of women’s fellowship. I purchased the So Long Insecurity book at this event and started reading it at the beginning of the week. I am so excited that you have come out with a workbook for this. I am definitely a co-poster child for this book, and would love to have a life group through our church to work through this with others. Thank you so much for this and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy! I am so stoked about this!!!! God bless you and the talents that He has bestowed on you!
Thank you for this wonderful study, along with all the others. I just finished listening to this book on CD. I plan to listen to it again, and do the workbook. The last ten years of my life have been an uphill battle to say the least, alot because of my own doing. Your workbooks have been my rock to run to, daily, for direction, and still are. I’m at a crossroads now, with serious decisions to make. I’m seeking God for the answers, and to lay the groudwork for me. Thanks Beth!
