Hey, Sweet Things! Today is my first official day back to work after the James taping and the first thing I did, after hugging coworkers, was sit down and tape a video greeting to you. It takes a day or two to get it on Vimeo but we’ll have it up here on the blog just as soon as we can. It’s, of course, mostly ridiculous except to us Siestas so rein in your expectations. It’s just me saying hey to you after being away for so long and thanking you for your prayers. But as God would have it, I have another reason to hop on here today. I’ve been waiting for it to come in so that I could tell you about it and we literally just opened the box. Here it is:

Excited to see this workbook!! Will you mention more details here on the blog? I’m wondering if it is stand alone without the book. I’m looking for a study to do with college age girls at my church and wondering if this is “the one”!
Hi Jenny, The study is designed to be done over 10 sessions, with each week in the workbook based on one or more chapters from the book. There is also a Leader’s Guide edition available. I hope that helps!

Oh, my goodness! I want one! Even if I can’t talk anyone into doing this at my church or with a few of the ladies at CR, but I want one just to have! And maybe if I have it and can show it to some of “my girls” they’ll want to do it! This would be so fun to do with my group of like 6 or 7 ladies I meet with every week during the school year next year! If I can convince the “J’s” Jeni and Julie, I know the others will be convinced. They’re sort of the unofficial “leaders” of the group. Officially, it doesn’t have a leader, but believe me, we younger ladies, sort of let them take it where they want to and don’t ask many questions, you know, other than about the bible and raising kids and stuff, but as far as what they want to do, we mostly just say, “Okay, that sounds good.” But I bet if I suggested this to Jeni she’d be open to it!

Dearest Beth,
This warmed my heart tonite! I need that believe me. Today I saw my beloved counselor whom I have shared some pretty scarey times with for 13 yrs. She saw me, still in ,from my Mom’s death, the death of my best frind two years ago and that horrible time when my beloved father and an envious sister betrayed had me falsely arrested on a phoney charge and had me jailed one nite. My counselor helped me work through the time of forgiveness that freed me. Through getting to know you this past year and spending so much time in Bible study I have really grown and no longer need an earthly counselor as I once did but saying good by to a way of life is really hard for me right now and with tears running down my face I know I have to cling more to Jesus than ever before. I shared my faith with my counselor today and left her with a typed out commentery of Philippians 4 along with the old Living paraphrases of the verses. Thankyou for being the instrument God has used to bring me to this point in life and I look forward to seeing you in Mpls next week if the Lord wills!

wow! that is super exciting! i just finished the esther study and it was amazing. the lesson on fear has revolutionized my life. now, when that “IF” creeps into my mind – i am forming the habit to respond “if _______, then GOD!”. thank you for all you do! i’m so thankful to have you as my siesta mama!

Awww…my girlfriend group went through your “So Long Insecurity” book last spring and it was such a blessing to us. Your love for Jesus has inspired my growth in Him in so many ways. Thank you for being obedient to His call on your life! What a blessing! My husband and 3 boys are blessed too, as I believe I’m a better wife and momma because of my deepening walk with God. i love it! and i love you, Siesta Mama. thank you so much for your obedience to Christ which has caused a little Baptist Church out side of Kansas City to have a women’s ministry where we come, soak in the word and DO LIFE! we started with 10 ladies and now there are consistantly 30. but it’s not the numbers, its the fact that these ladies are HUNGRY for more of the Word and a DEEPER walk. thank you for your studies. thank you thank you thank you.
